Spike is the only thing that DOES keep the game remotely balanced. This change will make the game pure PTW, only thing that keeps GL power decks in check is if they have to account for spike.

Whatever, cull already was a bs power creep money grab, do whatever the fuck you want, this game already jumped the shark.

Topic: Rise of Mythos / My very angry showdown thread BOYCOT BUYING GOLD FOR A WEEK!!!

I want to preface this by saying that overall I think this is the best TCG I’ve ever played and you guys do a great job of keeping it fresh and engaging.

Now I’m going to rant..

Not sure what “emergency” you guys fixed with maintenance on Saturday but was it worth screwing everyone out of having a guild showdown? Showdown is by far at least for me the most fun aspect of this game so please don’t do this again.

Every other time this has happened guilds whose guild leader signed up teams could at least play in showdown. This was incredibly frustrating for me because I every time this has happened my guild leader dropped the ball on signing up teams early.

So…tonight at 6:59 server time I was actually pretty excited. This was my first server maintenance being guild leader and I signed up two teams Friday night before maintenance. For once not only was I going to get to play in showdown despite it being screwed up but I’d also probably get some byes or play vs teams with less than four people.

Not so much…of course the first time I was on a team that was signed up early the bug would not just stop signups but also keep the tourney from happening. Thanks for that.

I’m sure you will hand out some across the board compensation but that’s really just kind of a slap in the face of the hundred or so players that this actually affected. Are you going to give back all the silver and gold we contributed so that our guild could have two teams this week? We place at least top eight almost every week, are you going to give us the reward we would have won?

Even if you do, you’re not going to give me back the time I put into organizing teams and you’re not going to give me back the fun I would have had playing in the tourney because even when we don’t win we’ve had some great games.

Honestly I don’t care if you hand out compensation, just don’t mess this up again. If this happens many more times I’ll find a game that doesn’t disappoint me.

Lastly I’d like to call on the player base to please boycott gold buys until after we have the next guild showdown (hopefully next Sunday). I feel like if game fuse can’t give us the product we expect than we shouldn’t give them the money they expect.

Topic: Rise of Mythos / Metagame is getting stale

Just want to officially say that the ogre/beast/goblin/new skill update has “fixed” this problem. I’ve seen “spike rush” just get creamed by full anti decks using trolls that wont die for a turn and 4 turn lane blocks. This has managed to open up the meta-game a little bit since full spike rush can be beat by 4 full anti decks with a splash of a few power cards.

Gamefuse really needs to reply to this thread. This is a fantastic game, by far one of the most fun CCGs I’ve ever played but losing your cards is a really bad issue. There must be some way that you can confirm this problem and send him the lost cards in the mail. You should probably also send him 3 good gems and a godlike goblin mobster for the inconvenience.

This comment is really for the 4v4 tournament because although Rush is very strong in 1v1 and 2v2 it’s still beatable with good anti-rush or decks with anti-rush elements. 4v4 this is not the case because “Spike Rush” is totally dominant. Nothing in the game beats stacking buffs on Maia and Miff than attacking a cleared lane. The most viable cards are maybe skeletons, but they still don’t stop it because its unrealistic that a team can get enough skeletons out to block four lanes with enough creatures to stop just one of them from being cleared with frenzy/DB/Tru Shot/Slash.. and when the game is 3v4 early its impossible to stop the next “Spike”. The problem with trying to build against this deck in 4v4 is that the only creatures that might be good against it are destroyed very easily by either frenzy or DB. Even Soren, who looks like a very solid anti rush card is no better than a one star goblin when the other team has two rangers with three frenzy each in a fifteen card deck…and even if this wasn’t the case he can only block one lane. I hate banning cards in CCG/TCGs but I think the only way to shake up the metagame in 4v4 is to ban some of the key cards that make up this build. I’m usually a fan of printing a counter rather than banning a card but I’m not sure what you could print that would be a counter when DB destroys any creature that is fast enough to stop this rush and frenzy stops anything clustered together that is fast enough to stop this rush (Wesly). Short of printing a non-unique Skeleton with nimble that also created a nimble bone pile or a non-unique creature with spell immunity I don’t think there’s any other answer to this than banning Maia or Miff and/or DB and Frenzy or both Military Charge and Swift Raid from 4v4. Banning some of these cards would in no way stop teams from using a “Rush” strategy but it would balance the metagame so that when you know a team is rushing you and build decks to beat it than you actually have a chance.

Just to address what they’re doing with the AH, its a fair change. What it stops is using the AH to trade cards. I’ve been able to basically trade or give away several cards using the current AH system, so while I’ve enjoyed the “exploit” I recognize that it’s been a bit of an exploit so this is a fair fix.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Kingdoms CCG] Suggestions Thread

Really enjoy this game so far, here are some suggestions for tweaks.

Alchemist acid spray ability is better at lvl 1 than 2 or three, not sure how I’d fix it it seems very powerful at lvl 1 already.

Unstable concoction damage would be more fair if it were 1-2 at lvl three rather than 0-3 this would take a bit of luck out of it.

Undead Lvl 1 and Lvl 2 hero are underpowered, he needs buff badly.

Mystic Lvl 1 hero is also pretty bad, I’d suggest lowering the cost of the slow ability or changing it to charge 2 at lvl 3
The mystic spells and creatures in general are pretty bad and could use boosts.

I’m sure I’ll have more suggestions as I play more characters.

Very fun, took me a while to figure out the ladder system. I recommend for new players to save 1500 gold from each campaign to unlock the next one. Heros may need some balance changes as well.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Eredan iTCG] Beating King Hrimiririrerhererier

This deck beats him about 7/10 times with no favors, another 2 times with one favor and one out of ten times he stomps me.

The first group of cards are the most important to making the deck work, the second group of cards help win maybe 1/10 games and the third group of cards are mildly useful but, but I usually discard most of them so they could be subbed for many other cards and not hurt your chances much.

I don’t think you have to have torment either, he’s ideal because he usually survives the first turn and does a lot of damage twice, but if you don’t own him just sub another nehant, I think the next two guys I’d use would be Iron Mask and Shadow Lady.

Use the clumsiness’ to remove the Ice Auras, Try to time demon may rise so it hits after he plays his rage card. If he doesn’t have rage and you have a demon may rise on him than use portal when you go first.

If he has rage, dump as many 1x cards that aren’t helping you win so that you can pump his attack and kill him faster.

Use your book to heal amadaraxar when that helps you win.

If you have the first nine cards and you’re not winning with this deck than you need to learn to play better, sorry if that hurts your feelings but subsequent responses to this post complaining about losses will just expose your bad play.

Topic: Epic War Saga / Love it!

Experienced a frustrating bug though. After losing to third boss some of my progress was randomly gone. I was sent back to the middle of stage two and lost many units and equiptment. I was also randomly awarded some units and equip that I didn’t have.

Still an amazing game, work out the kinks, lol.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Eredan iTCG] Stalling on purpose in tourney

MeowTheRules was two points ahead of me in a couger tourney in third and fourth place, and this guy purposely waited until the very edge of the timer dragging the game out for the last fifteen minutes of the tourney. I would think that players would have enough pride not to resort to such unsportsmanlike tactics, but since some people are just can’t win without exploiting fair play I think the devs should add a total game timer in addition to the turn timer so that unsportsmanlike cowards like this player can’t ruin the game.

My opponent played the card bluff and after I selected the cards in my discard he just let the timer run out. Rather than awarding me a victory the game ended in a draw. This took place in Amnezy, please fix this totally lame bug.
