Topic: Technical Support / Exporting LSOs from Chrome, importing LSOs to Firefox? [RESOLVED!]

Chrome uses a different save file location than other browsers, because it has it’s own built in Flash.

That location is C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\<random>

Look under chat.kongregreate.com and assets.kongregate.com. Your saved files are somewhere in there.

You need to place those files where Firefox places it’s data. Which is in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\[numbers/letters]\chat.kongregate.com)

It won’t be all copy and paste as the directory layout is different. But those are the locations.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa it worked aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Thanks a ton. ; a;

So I switched back from Chrome to Firefox (Chrome is a giant puddle of stupid when it comes to having more than five tabs open, and oh hey I kind of have 100+ open regularly), and now I kinda need to get my Flash cookies to move over. Problem is, obviously, that I have no idea how to do that. I’d rather not lose all my progress in some of these marathon games, and I’d also prefer not having to use Chrome whenever I want to play them, so, uh, help is requested pls.

You have a split-second before the game gets to the Ninja Kiwi screen to right-click and choose it that way, but you can’t change it afterward.

All right, definitely not my idea of a useful “premium member” system, but next to nothing would be for Kongregate—gaming sites just don’t handle those very well in general. No complaints, or anything, tho—

What really is looking bad though, is this:

Make our minions work for you!

All Kong Plus members’ queries and complaints are given red flags, so you can benefit from the extra-fastness of our already prompt and thorough customer support!

I thought there was no “discrimination” regarding customer support?
So does that mean that a K+ member’s query is going to be taken care of faster than mine, just because he paid $30? This is customer support, not a competition between those who are willing to pay and those who are not.

Oh goddammit.

Please, please, please do something other than those “do not share” links. Considering how much you have to copy/paste links to your profile or raid, it’s not very hard to accidentally post one of them in chat, which gives just enough information in 250 characters to let someone control your character. This happened to me earlier, and I lost seven platinum because of it.

I just went from Lv. 25 to Lv. 26 while fighting a Sorivun II at roughly 1–2% HP, and my stats kind of bugged out for a second. My energy refilled to its cap at Lv. 25, not its cap at Lv. 26; my stamina said it was “maxed” at 36/37; I didn’t get any indication that I’d leveled, as I usually do; and no box appeared over my character’s profile to indicate stat points. (Additionally, when I tried to apply my stat points, it wouldn’t let me add them—it said I had three in the link from your profile, but the dialogue box that opens wouldn’t register my clicks. When this happened, I was out of regular CoH chat.

I leveled-up at the start of a PvP match, and now I’m stuck getting opponents one level lower than me in the Heroes menu. (Character name is Lydia Guignol, if that matters.)

You probably need the latest version of Flash. Missing Plug-In sounds like a browser alert, not something from the site itself.

I tried that, but it tells me this:

Your Google Chrome browser already includes Adobe® Flash® Player built-in. Google Chrome will automatically update when new versions of Flash Player are available.

I guess I’ll have to try FireFox. But, nothing saves on there… :\

Whoa, that’s weird. I’m in Chrome 15, and I’m not having any trouble right now. Where are you seeing that, exactly?

I know that, sometimes, if I keep Chrome running too long, some plug-ins just crash spontaneously and go “unrecognized,” but they fix themselves if I restart the browser.

Edit: for Firefox not saving data, are you running in Private Mode? That prevents Flash save data from being stored on your system.

Gay Marriage is utterly morally wrong. If we were meant to be with the same gender, then why isn’t there a way to procreate like that? It is messing with God’s will entirely.

Why does everything anyone ever does have to be tied to having children? I think that humans are allowed to have a bit more on their minds than sex and making babies. Additionally, if we weren’t meant to sleep with the same sex, why can we do so, in ways that are completely harmless to both participants?

Originally posted by DarkBaron:

The rate of disabilities in incestuous relationships is, indeed, higher. But there are two facts to consider: firstly, that this spike is still negligibly small compared to normal offspring, and only a real danger in successive inbreeding.

And even if it were dangerous enough to cause a 5% chance for a disability (real statistic), we could simply prevent this couple from breeding, and simply marry and adopt. What’s the difference?

It would be pretty difficult to make sure a couple never has a child together, though. Since celibacy is the only fool-proof way to prevent pregnancy, any form of copulation would likely be illegal between the two, and sex is typically at least an occasional expression of love by a couple.

There’s freedom of religion in America. Your religion is completely irrelevant.

Actually, I suggest posts in this thread that use religious morals in their arguments should be removed.

Because, without religion, the only opposition that would remain would be based purely on individual opinion, which people seem to be very afraid of admitting. With religion, there’s at least a unified backbone you can say supports your stance.

Well let’s see. It’s unnatural, as a man and another man cannot reproduce and the relationship is purely sexual, and marriage shouldn’t be about sex.

I personally wouldn’t want gay couples to adopt. You have a mom and a dad, not a dad and a dad. (How would that work, dad 1 and dad 2?)

It opens a pandoras box of other objectable marriages.

Can only be done under a judge.

And, yes, it goes against my religion so I will not support it.

Since when does emotional attachment not factor into a relationship? I find it amazingly bigoted you didn’t think of that in the first place. And what about relationships between a man and a woman that are based purely on sex? Are they OK, because they make babies?

lol @ I Have Two Daddies argument. Really, is that the best you can come up with? What, is your only problem with which one would be called “Papa” and which one would be “Daddy?” What would be so bad about having two people of the same sex being your parents? There’s nothing that prevents them from fulfilling the parental roles stereotypically assigned to a man and a woman. There’s boundless proof that children of such a pairing are just as healthy as any other couple. The only issues that arise come from people who can’t get over the fact that a gay couple is probably better at parenting than they ever would be, regardless of their own partner.

Also, I’m stunned by your statement on single parents. Since you’re allowed to say your religion gives you reason to be a homophobe, my own experience with single parents gives me the right to say that I, personally, wish to punch you in the face.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Gay Marriage

To clarify, my post wasn’t directed at anyone I’d seen post here—it was directed at the (inaccurate) arguments I’d seen used in opposition to LGBT marriage and rights in the past. I honestly respect people who are comfortable enough to accept that they have a personal problem with some certain group of people, and not try to use a flawed scientific foundation for their opinions—whether that opinion come from religion or otherwise. My own problem arises when people use their religion to protect them when they basically practice standard hate speech and oppression tactics, because then, that just makes their religion look bad. (Even if that religion says to tell the person committing a sin of that fact, it probably doesn’t say to go to the lengths some people do. Besides that, the same people who are preaching about how “[insert name of deity here] hates [insert pejorative term for a group here]” usually aren’t preaching about anything else in their religious codex to such an extreme.)

I would just love it if your post did more than just restate my arguments in a ridiculous way, then call me stupid.

I would also love if you would actually offer a counter argument, rather then just claiming that his point is stupid because it is.

He didn’t make a point. “Gay men aren’t going to magically give HIV to your children”

At what time did I even mention HIV? Or my children?

“Astoundingly, homosexuality is not the same as ephebophilia”

What does ebedophilia have to do with homosexuality?

I’m sorry, but I tend to phrase things as ridiculously as they actually are when I’ve seen tons of ludicrous arguments on a subject, and I want to make sure everybody knows they are, indeed, ludicrous. It was nothing toward or against you, just the amazingly ill-founded reasons against gay marriage that I have, in the past, witnessed.

And then I realize you’re the OP and made many of the arguments I just denounced, hurrdurr i r smrt

Originally posted by DarkBaron:

so what’s your opinion on incestuous marriage? Actually, there is evidence that supports homosexuality is both genetic and caused by environmental influences (the two must work in tandem).

See, this is where things start getting kind of tricky. Some of the arguments against incest have been applied to homosexuality, but one of them—that the offspring of such a couple are often disabled—actually applies. While the argument as used for gay couples implies that their children will inherit the gayness, the argument as used for incestuous couples suggests that their children will be born with disabilities, often of a life-altering nature. The only difference to this is that, while homosexuality is no longer considered a disability or disease by the medical community, many of the things that children of incest suffer from are.

I’ve just seen the whole thing go back and forth before, so you’ll have to forgive me if I remain neutral on the cause (if any) of homosexuality.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Gay Marriage

The f— is this even doing as a debate thread? Jesus Christ, you’re going to make me tangent, aren’t you, Kongregate?

Long story short, it’s not ruining anyone’s way of life, so stop acting like it. About, ohh, 70% of the people you see marching like they’re from Westborough (or that actually are from Westborough) are using religion as a shield for their own personal bigotry. If you’ve got a problem with some specific group of people, whoop-de-shit, you’re free to think and feel however you want; just don’t cram it down my throat (NO THAT DOES NOT HAVE A DOUBLE MEANING, BE QUIET) like you’re the proxy through which the Almighty Creator speaks His word. Everyone saying that the Bible damns gays and their kin to the fiery pits of Hell, and should be mercilessly told so in the cruelest way possible, doesn’t much understand one of the principle concepts of Jesus’ teachings: FORGIVENESS. Someone’s doing something that goes against the Bible? You’re supposed to forgive them.

Oh wait, having romantic feelings or consensual sexual intercourse with someone of the same sex is worse than murder, theft, homelessness, national debt destroying lives, natural disasters, etc. Never mind; continue your condemnation, public bashing and physical assault! Because, y’know, that’s what the Bible says! Ignore all the suffering your hatemonger money could mend, and go after them thar queers! Except the lesbians, because they arouse you so, in some forbidden way.

Gay men aren’t going to magically give HIV to your children, and lesbians aren’t going to try and kidnap them because they want babies. Additionally, neither are automatically obligated to have a sexual interest in those children! Astoundingly, homosexuality is not the same as ephebophilia, et al. Also, not instantly looking to have an orgy, do drugs, drink, or any combination of those, F.Y.I.

In the U.S., there’s this little concept of “separation of church and state.” That basically means, “screw off with your religion, we’re doing what more than half of everybody thinks is right.” Does this mean churches are obligated to marry LGBT couples? No, because there are other ways to conduct a legally-recognized marriage. There are plenty of ordained ministers who do marry nonheteronormative couples, but they don’t have to.

Gay marriage being legalized does not equal progression toward legalizing beastiality, public sex, marrying lampposts, and et cetera. For one, gay marriage involves consent. Can you confirm consent from a dog or lamppost? No, so say goodbye to that argument. (I don’t give a flying fuck what you say about your dog totally giving you consent, it does not freaking happen. Animals are not built for inter-species copulation, nor are they capable of expressing any desire for such with other species.) As for public sex—really? Yes, because straight couples are so much less likely to screw in the sheds at Home Depot.

There is no solid scientific proof supporting or denying that homosexuality is genetic, caused by childhood experiences, or others. Right now, we just know it happens, and it isn’t a choice. (Liking both men and women is generally called bisexuality, by the way, and people who describe themselves as being such are not gays or lesbians who “can’t just pick one,” or any other lovely, inbred ideas people seem to grow in the menure piles of their minds.) For evidence of it not being a choice, you can, in essence, just look at yourself: do you choose to be straight, or do you just feel that you are? GUESS WHAT THE RIGHT ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS

Gay pride festivals aren’t rampant sex displays, by the way. There’s usually a very large portion that’s dedicated to very average people just walking, waving to the crowd, representing a large portion of the American population that just wants to live their lives without scorn.

In summation,

COME AT ME BRO

If you think the site has a bad design now, state your complaints and move on; bawwing about it over and over, making an effing volcano out of a molehill, on every single page, over the same exact detail, will just make people more likely to dismiss you as a whiny little bi—uh, person. Oh, no, I meant on other Web sites! I haven’t seen any topics on it here. Aha ha, being clear with what I’m saying has always been a bit of an issue for me.

I’ve heard a bunch of potential reasons, from Keiji Inafune’s departure, to their desire to not work on a 3DS title when it’s such a new console, to not receiving enough feedback on the project in their forums because people didn’t know they needed to give feedback to show their interest in it… Really, it’s like Capcom is imitating Ace Attorney with what the heck is happening. Which would be hilarious, given who makes the games. QUICKLY, APOLLO, RANDOMLY PRESENT THE PANTIES AND/OR SLIPPERS.

What I know for sure, though, is that people are royally ticked right now. Not only did their announcement get a flood of hate for the cancellation, but most news from the company after that did, too.

All right, additional information time! I’m not in such a hurry now, whoo.

I’ve got avast! Anti-virus, but it’s never messed with anything before, as far as I know. Firefox has Adblock Plus and Flashblock active (among others, but those two are the only ones possibly relevant). As well, Firefox has been configured to warn me when sites attempt a redirect/reload (it’s an option under Content > Advanced Javascript, I think), and to not allow Web pages to disable/modify the menus that appear when you right-click (this doesn’t seem to affect Flash content, because games like Bullet Heaven still have their special menu).

That’s everything that could be related.
