Topic: Clash of the Dragons / My cycle deck to help new players in brawls...

Claw assassin + greater fero is good enough. With 3 alchs and 3 GHPs, there’s not really any reason to add more than those 2. You’re safe with 2 alchemists in your hand and you deplete the claw assassin more often because there’s fewer things to deplete instead of it. When you’re cycling, try to be as compact as possible. Extra things make your cycle worse, not better.

Topic: General Tyrant Discussion / Attack of the Bots!!!

Man, Pescado. I can only hope you came over to Tyrant after seeing me playing it regularly, because this is hilarious, and I want to be partially responsible for it.

You say that, hilotaka, but it shows you know the reference. I had no clue that was a Twilight reference until you said it.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Doesnt anyone find this suspicious?

This is getting seriously out of hand. Let’s establish some simple facts here.
1 – Pescado is in the news closer than 5 hours together.

Basically, what that means is that variance swung in such a way as to have 2 uncommon occurances happen close together. Botting, as you’re accusing him of, would not cause him to be able to fight more times than his stamina allows. Edgebee’s server would also certainly have logged if his critters were fighting beyond their stamina, and he would’ve been banned when complaints were issued towards him. The moral of this story is that being in the news 2 times close together actually doesn’t prove ANYTHING.

2 – Pescado is in the news more often than most players.

Basically, what this means is that his critters are using their stamina at a significantly higher efficiency than other players. Fishboner and I have both independantly confirmed that Pescado responds instantly to messages on messengers, any time of the day. My suspicion is that he uses the uberman sleep method(6 20-minute naps a day) and that his claims of never sleeping are exaggerated. Regardless, the simple fact is that he is responsive 24/7. I have sent him messages at all hours of the day and night, and he always immediately responds. If he is around literally constantly, then it should be no surprise that his critters are using their stamina every time they gain it. While it’s theoretically possible that he’s using a bot to enter the commands, it’s also theoretically possible that he is not, and is just honestly around that often, or is teaming up with other members of his syndicate to ensure somebody is always acting on his behalf. Concluding – being in the news that often just proves he’s using his stam efficiently. A bot is not the only way to do this. He has specifically spelled out the way he has his plugins and browser set up to allow easy of entry – essentially, a HUD upgrade. None of this has broken the client or rules in any way. As somebody with various IT certifications, his methods completely make sense to me, and I can validate that he HAS answered your concerns with the exception of his ability to be constantly available. Fishboner and I have answered to his constant availability. There is really nothing more to it than that.

3 – Pescado is seldom on the in-game chat.

This is certainly true. However, your system has to send login information to the chat server to connect to the chat. Kongregate breaks this if you change your password on edgebee. This is a confirmed phenomenon. If he throttles it at firewall level to not let that packet out to that server, he will never connect to chat. Given that it’s subtly wasting bandwidth and minorly reducing his speed at other things, I could see an engineer type(which Pescado clearly is) being interested in preventing that leak of system resources for something he never uses. He has also explained this in this thread.

4 – Pescado has answered every question asked of him effectively, and in a manner that is actually possible.

In spite of your concerns, there are rational explanations for everything occurring here. You may not believe they are the truth, and that is your right. However, you cannot deny that his explanations are feasible and possible. It’s up to edgebee to determine the truth of his claims, and given his lack of current banning, I suspect that he has proven himself in some capacity, or edgebee has rightfully decided that without proof of wrongdoing, he shouldn’t be banned. Let’s quit accusing him of things he can rationally defend already. It’s getting old. Find something that is actually illegal and verifiable you can pin onto him. Until then, let’s just let this rest.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Need help with super critters

Put speed II B as the first skill. Attach strength II T to it. Add a level to each of them and add a duration to each of them. That’s super.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Manipulations How do they work?

That doesn’t actually teach people a whole lot about probability theory, though. The line “End result is a Dragon with everything (if your[sic] lucky).” is pretty misleading. The odds of getting that dragon are under 20%. Less than 1 in 5 times, you’ll get what you want. (.75^6 ~= 17.7%). Also, you would be spending 125 tokens, not 50.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Manipulations How do they work?

Alright, here’s how it works. If you slide “horn” to the left 75%, then your final critter is 75% likely to have the horn on the left side, 25% likely to have the horn on the right side. If you then spend creds and slide family 75% to the right, 25% to the left, your final result is 75% * 75%(56.25%) likely to be the family of the critter on the right and the horn of the critter on the left. You are 25% * 25% (6.25%) likely to be the family of the critter on the left and the horn of the critter on the right(even if the critter on the right has no horn). So far we have 62.5%. The remaining 37.5% is being the critter on the left with the horn on the left or the critter on the right with the horn on the right, both at equal odds. That means each has half of a 37.5% chance, or 18.75% Let’s test this to make sure our math works. 75% * 25% chance of either one happening is 18.75% This is assuming you have 2 critters of different families and only a horn as a difference in apps. If both critters have a lion tail, for example, you won’t have to play with that manipulation slider. The child will automatically have a lion tail. If you care about the color of the tail, I suppose this can matter, but it’s a cornercase at best.
