Has anyone tried out the scythe? It says is does 1000 swings per second … damage 750 with mega weaken.

Also Big Betty looks rather good. Expensive though. A super minigun. Anyone tried it?

There is a bug with the armour. I’ve noticed that in mission 1 I take 8 points of damage when I get hit wearing Junkyard armour (def 95) but I take 11 damage when I get hit wearing bulwark (def 175) …

Seems like a pretty fundamental bug in the game mechanics.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I totally missed that. Hmmm, seems like the double pistol is the last non premium gun you get access to. Given that you get Hockey armour later I wish that red steel was premium and tec 9 was non premium.

So from a buying perspective since the highest level non premium item is armour I guess we should buy mercs or guns with our gold.

I’ve found that the scaling of the rewards isn’t very good.

The first mission seems by far the best to grind for cash/xp compared to the amount of time it takes.

Also the hike in HP from the high school to the farm is quite extreme, especially since when I got there I only had a piercing eagle.

So now it seems optimal for me to just go back to level 1 to grind that mission till I get more cash and xp to afford the better equips at later levels, which gives the impression the game is missing some filling.

At the moment I find my mercs a bit annoying. I don’t have any gold stuff so really the only options is to do a lot of running.

But when I run (full screen mode) I find that to make the mercs follow me I have to be on the other side of the screen. So I can’t see the enemy I’m fighting and running from, and often can’t shoot them with my merc.

Even when doing this some guys just drag their heels and die. There should be some sort of formation button to select how tight you want ppl to bunch.

In addition having the ability to increase the screen size or zoom out would be great since meatsticks and other ranged units can start shooting me off screen but I can only shoot them when they appear on screen.

Hmm that looks like a big upgrade to my M1 rifle. It takes ages to kill stuff on the farm.

There is a massive difference in premium and non-premium armour from what I’ve seen so far.

It would be great to be able to see the stats and costs of items even when they are unlocked. That way you can plan your purchases better when you are close to new upgrades.

ProspectorSam, could you post the stats of Bulwark armour and the cost? Are Thrash, Murdoch and Babylon all premium mercs? If not can you post their cost and stats? I’m level 27 now and is the next non-premium gun the winchester 70, what are its stats?

How will fake attacks work? When you make a fake attack does that use up stamina, which is then refunded when you cancel? Do you need 30 stamina to make a fake attack? Or do you only need the stamina by the time the siege starts?

When the siege is over and the battle is fought, if you emerge victorious your army will return to your capital. They will not return to the region map. Hmmm, that’s interesting. So no more dropping out of the sky and defending allies? Or revenging them at least.

I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing yet. But one way you could preserve this sort of thing would be to keep the 90 sec attack countdown. After which the army disappears.

This leans a little into the game balance idea but I’ve found that once you hit Gold league, that HOP is much easier to accumulate.
