A city where 3 players and I started playing within 24 hours. We are noobs yes, but looking for other active players to join our city and go from rags to riches. We currently started building 1>2 City Hall / Iron mine.

I still owe BRUTAL 25 attacks. Too bad susu didn’t get back to me on that hehe. Oh well, quit the game anyways, last log in was 7d ago, and then a few days interval for each log in. I left the flood and joined sas for the lolz because BRUTAL wasn’t recruiting. Oh well. sas did a good job keeping out of the clear because i put 5 or 6 of my heroes on tiles, leave for a few days, come back and they were STILL there haha.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Skyshard Heroes] Just wondering how the Devs are coming on the SkyShard Heros Road Map

Just wanted to point out that from the looks of Redshift, the gaming community, as well as the developers interest in it is dead. Skyshard is in the same shoes, though we have more active players, both games hit a point after 6 months after released on Kongregate that less people play every day. I recommend you stop playing Redshift unless you want to play alone.

But back on subject, the “Road Map” thread (that’s locked) in the forums hasn’t been changed for a long time, don’t know why it hasn’t been altered, but another thread was recently made discussing a road map from January to May. The community noticed syn didn’t really do much in November to December and now that it was going later in January, we started crying out for “change.” It’s been the last few days now and I noticed rudge and syn started working hard in game development and only time will tell if everything works out. I believe syn been working on Skyshard content all day. As for developer predictions and progression, it’s a little slow and the dev’s usually follow through what they promised to do, but not the way everyone wants it to do. Ex: If we want more resources in Campaign, devs add 1k more resources per mission, which is practically nothing.

Hey, new player here. Love the game and story line! I think a lot of us want to know (as soon as we can recruit Hammer from the Tavern) what are star levels and how do we earn them? Also, i continue to get drops from quests that said there to craft lvl 20 equipment, I’m lvl 20 right now, how do I do this =o? Thanks :).
EDIT: Found out to craft the items you have to click the “hero” icon and upgrade the items there. And I’m guessing star level is p2p content? Not sure how that works, hasn’t been explained yet.
EDIT2: NEW QUESTION: Why is it when i see the cross sword icon (meaning someone attacked me in arena), i spectate the battle and notice my heroes health and power is DECIDED IN HALF against aggressors? I’ll have 520 power and 2k health, in arena report, it shows i got 1k health and 260 power, and I always lose without making a dent in the enemy. Something is very wrong here.

—When this game get’s enough content, I’ll come back and try playing again. I get frustrated playing games that aren’t going anywhere and that’s exactly where I’m at.


—Skyshard Heroes needs 1) LOTS OF [new] PLAYERS, playing with the same people is old, 2) more building ques (i wouldn’t recommend any player to this game with 1 building que) 3) more content, especially something that has nothing to do heroes or army attacking or defending a city, that’s what ruins the game, only give one thing for a player to do in every shape and form, game gets repetitive and player’s quit out of boredom. Need minigames and such, take my advice, game won’t go anywhere if that’s all this game is.


—As for the updates, time is money, if that’s your plan, go for it, but some players won’t stick around if the game isn’t fun anymore. Isn’t games supposed to be fun if your ahead of everyone else? Not this game, that’s a problem, needs to be fixed and more content to push new players to join.

      Please give the players of this game a REASON to continue playing. There is no reason, the dev’s don’t even play this game, if they did, this game wouldn’t be like watching paint dry.
 
      Btw, no longer leader of The Flood anymore, i just left guild. Game is boring as hell and not going to wait for Rudge or syn anymore.

Just to comment, this happened to me a long time ago. All were from conquesting. I once attacked Support Breast Cancer in season 2 and every attack, out of all of the towers range, my units were all dying and Manaco was laughing at it and didn’t defend. Laughed around and said lvl 0 isunda did it or something. This happened back to back on the same tile 2 or 3 times in a row.

And there was a 2nd scenario, which happens once in a blue moon (still does it, but very rare occurence), as soon as i deploy my units, my hero and units are all slowing dying by a “Web Pillars” attack (slow icon) when none of my units were near a web pillar. I would destroy the closest web pillar anyways, but they were all dying still. This happened to me dozens of times, especially right after i deploy my units. I “think” it may be a result of attacking a territory immediately after the last attack ended, but who knows.

It’s a improvement, here are additional thoughts. I’ll make this real simple rudgutter (due to many text walls). Problem is Colette and Jorund.

Colette can stun any hero (except Jorund) for almost a solid minute and attack them and win any 1vs1 battle. She specializes in unit buff’s so this SHOULD NOT happen. Solution: Blinding light CD should be higher than the duration of the stun at any level, to give people a chance to fight back. Insta-stun demolished. Also, adding the “increased mana” is good addition on top, but MUST have a CD added.

Jorund can win any 1vs1 battle because he can inflict 1,000 damage per attack and kill any hero before they get a chance to fight back. Jorund is a force to wrecking with when goggles was released because Jorund can take out the enemy units with Axestorm (swordsman, mages, archers) in 1 or 2 hits and still have time to take out the enemy hero. Solution: Add a LONG CD for axestorm (30 sec) so units can be the heroes support and endure the PvE. Also, make bludgeon stun no more than 3 seconds at lvl 10. This means Jorund can still own any 1 on 1 hero fight, but takes more strategy when there’s a handicap from axestorm.

Also, something needs to be done with voguls, air ships, and gyro’s (maybe boomers too). How in the world is anyone able to defend against them?? Lvl 10 colette and Lvl 10 gyro’s means PvE is a joke, for even the best of buildings, and when a hero defends, what can he do? Jorund axestorm is suicide when units and hero gangs up on him, seripha would be killed by the aggressor’s hero before she can use earth or fire, and defending colette can’t even put a scratch on those units. Health vs Armor needs to be adjusted because swordsman, voguls, rangers and mages are now useless compared to the other units.

      Ah. I will take my part in this discussion and give a description of each hero, PROS and CONS, and ask what needs to be changed for each hero. For the record, there SHOULD be a reason to use every hero in the game. Each hero should excel for different purposes, if another hero beats another hero for all circumstances, something isn’t right. Also to add, stunning needs to be nerfed
 
 

Alaric

 
Description: Alaric is your default hero. He is used by the majority of players and when he fights other heroes at the same level (or even 3 levels lower), he will always lose. He is what everyone calls, a balanced hero because he’s not too weak, but also not too strong.
 
PROS:
‣ A moderate hero to rush citadel and tank enemy towers due to decent armor vs PvE and damage inflicted 1 on 1 combat.
‣ Puncture is fair and not too strong to compensate for his high health.
 
CONS:
‣ Alarirc’s Holy Shield, devine light, and honored blades abilities are underpowered, especially for a balanced hero.
‣ Holy Shield serves no purpose, even at lvl 10, 40 armor for 10 seconds DOES NOT make any impact whether your units get wiped out by another heroes abilities or whether you save the lives of your troops in PvE.
‣ Divine Light cost 75 mana, the most consuming skill in the game, and everything about it is flawed. Damage is laughable, even for the weakest of units, the stun duration is 5 times less than Colette’s attack (needs to be nerfed anyways), and people can just use goggles and you lost 75 mana, no body uses this in PvE either.
‣ As for Honored Blades, it’s decent because it’s exactly the passive skill the default hero should have, but unfortunately won’t make a difference in hero support in the conquest map.
‣ Alaric is known to move away from units and attack high lvl towers to prevent units from being destroyed early on. So this means Alaric can’t use his Holy Shield or Honored Blades because he’s too busy tanking the lvl 10 archer tower so his units won’t die.
 
UPDATE: To make this hero more balanced, Honored Blades SHOULD NOT have any range, but when used, is applied to everything. Holy Shield isn’t worth the investment, so buffing the duration of the armor by 50% will be best AND add some sort of hero protection, this keeps opposing players from wiping out the enemy units in 2 attacks with axestorm, earth, etc. As for Divine Light, make this the ONLY ABILITY that goggles can’t be anti stunned for and increase the damage.

Heh. One critical problem. This will benefit OP players and there OP heroes more than lesser players. So in the end, making the game worse. OP heroes will just rush all the territories and kill all the heroes that stand in there way, giving the defenders no chance to take back there territories with the same (and maybe only) hero.

Just make a bloody new system!!
1) Don’t consume attacks in occupying tiles.
•Heroes will be considered “attacks.”
2) Don’t lose protection when involved in conquesting.
•Self explanatory, while synapticon at it, honor should be rewarded, not resources.
3) 1h Cooldown per hero [must use different heroes in conquest] used for occupation attempts in conquest map.
•So if you have 5 heroes, you can only attempt to occupy a territory for each hero “one time” every hour.
4) 5 minute delay for next occupation attempt. [this prevents players from using there best hero to take down a row of tiles in a few minutes.]
• This prevents spam of attacks, if you disagree with this, try loosing dozens of tiles that one moment when no one is online.
5) 30 minute Cooldown per hero DEFENDING AGAINST DIFFERENT GUILDS.
•This means you can’t continue to reuse your OP hero to defend your territories from the same guild, heroes can defend two times more than a person can occupy. This also prevents from multiple guilds attacking one guild, the cooldown applies differently to each guild, so if Guild A defended against Guild B til they have no heroes left and guild C came in to attack Guild A, they can still defend with there heroes and a new cooldown starts.
6) When you attack a territory, gives 30 second delay to start the attack.
• Gives enough time for player’s to evaluate what territories to defend and enough time TO DEFEND when afk. When delay is over, any body can still defend.
7) Click “player is attacking 13w,5n” and scouts town.
8) If a territory is under attack, YOU CAN NOT occupy any adjacent territories until the attack is finished. This prevents players from occupying a new territory with 30 minutes protection.
9) Fix bug abuse where: you abandon and reoccupy a territory for 30 minute protection.

Thoughts anyone? This took a while to make and i took a LOT of things into consideration on this new mechanics and trust me, it sounds complicated, but it’s the perfect thing for this game. If this were to be added word to word, active players and hero count is taken into consideration when conquesting, use of all heroes when conquesting, a single guild (Agency) will have a harder time monopolizing the map because it would be harder to expand than defend, and defending would be severely limited than it is now.

      I first started playing Skyshard Heroes back in October, when this game hit the front of Kongregate. I am a fan of time management games, Tyrant was a success, so I believed playing Skyshard Heroes would as well, be a success. I have played this game for 3 months now and I think it’s about time for me to share my feelings about this game to everyone, especially new players.
 
      It sucks.
 
      A good game, should have all the following:
1) Developers responding back to player’s suggestions:
2) Developers update the game daily and release new content every week.
3) Developers taking initiative towards things disrupting other players gameplay, such as those who cheat, hack, or use alts for a unfair advantage.
4) A balanced game where the community isn’t completely miserable and complains how the developer’s need to learn how to manage their game.
5) No known history of abandoning games. (ex: Redshift)
 
Let me get something straight:
 
1) Developers have not respond ENOUGH to critical player feedback and suggestions.
•••The “moon walking” bug is OLD and hasn’t been fixed nor addressed by the developers since I started playing.
•••OP (Over Powered; too strong) heroes and units have not been fairly nerfed to meet player’s satisfaction when the community CONSTANTLY asks synapticon to do it. Ex: A lvl 6 halls of hero can be acquired within a few days of first playing. A lvl 9 halls of hero can be acquired anywhere between 1 to 3 months of playing, for me, 2.5 months. So why is it fair that a lvl 9 alaric can be defeated by a lvl 6 jorund or lvl 6 colette? It’s not.
•••Why are oric cores and cloudstone cores still so rare? It’s not fair.
•••Why aren’t players rewarded for activity in conquest map? We are not rewarded. Those who place heroes and stay out of trouble are rewarded, those who spend all there activity just to get destroyed by OP heroes get less rewards than those who are not active in leading guilds. At the end of the season, when players are finally rewarded, turns out those who were out of the guild OR just joined the guild at the time of the update were cheated or rewarded for no reason. Conquest Rating is so flawed in this game…
 
2) Developers do not create new content nor updates for players satisfactory. Here are 3 months of updates:
•••Season 2 conquest season released, no rewards until December, 2 months for nothing.
•••Seripha released, useless hero until ALL heroes abilities and stats are fairly adjusted.
•••Event released, event points rewarded were not fairly distributed, event mission 2 was the majority of the communities limit in the event, and there attacks were ten times less valuable compared to OP players, who already have a unfair advantage in the conquest map, got all the rewards.
•••Kraken released, i liked this added content, we need more Kraken!
•••Event released again and energy point system released. I loved them both, event points were more fair and only problem was, other than kraken missions, campaign rewards were trash and synapticon tried to get rid of AI. That would of made this game impossible to play.
•••Conquest store released, guilds who spent thousands of attacks in conquesting were rewarded less than lazy leading guilds who only collected Conquest Rating.
•••Conquest season 3 released and tarkus was released, season 3 is no different from season 2 and ALL of the players suggestions regarding conquest changes for next season ignored. Tarkus is useless too, players assumed synapticon had enough time to make this hero, but not add a confirm option to ingame purchases, add + 10 skystones for 10 kreds, or basic guild rank mechanics ingame?
If I started playing back in October, i wouldn’t see much of a different game.
 
3) Ever heard of hmmmmmmmmmmhm guild? No? Exactly. Ban them. There a alt guild. [6 min after made this post, got attacked by them. Lol.
 
4) The community no longer enjoys your game synapticon. The chat is dead, less people are playing, the only conversation you hear is how much synapticon doesn’t listen to us, lack of updates, last time log-in was 2 weeks ago and counting, and how this game will become like Redshift or something.
 
5)If I were to hear of how you guys ABANDONED Redshift before i joined, i would of never played this game. That’s PATHETIC!!!
 
 
 
      Long story short, it’s not just me, it’s the entire community. We don’t see any more new players joining, how about you advertise on Tyrant and tell them to come over here? We don’t see any considerable amount of updates that would make this game balanced. You see Agency in season 1, 2 and season 3? That’s not balanced.
 
 
      To be honest synapticon and rudgegutter, just tell us “We are no longer going to manage this game anymore,” so we can quit, not wait for your team to get off your ass and make this shitty updates that won’t make improve this game whatsover and then we can continue with our lives.

The right thing to do:
1. Refund kakuzu298 his skystones for not having a “confirm” option for purchases requiring skystones, it’s pretty much fraud.
2. Fix the problem by adding a “confirm” option to skystone and honor transactions ingame.
3. Apologize to the community.
Other: Ignore the problem by not responding or responding by making a excuse that doesn’t fix anything. But other than that, you can’t threaten the developer kakuzu, it’s a waste of time.

This is a huge reason that I don’t do much pvp. Resources are something I prefer to earn through PvE, as well as a safe way to stock up on resources in protection, and i don’t need honor when i rely on skystones. So the bottom line is, why do pvp when the only gain is orich or cloudstone cores, when you practically never get it? I played this game for almost 3 months now and I have only received 2 orich cores out of all the times i raided lvl 6+ citadels. Not cool.

Additional Info: Lagged out during attack. When Kraken mission came out, i remember loosing on defend missions and not loosing my resources, but on this one, i lost the resources. And i know it’s not a lot of resources, but it may be when i collect more. Any how, please fix, thanks, bye.

WAIT. You made a error synapticon. Two guilds, rank 4 (NotAgency) and rank 5 (Lvl 7 and over) were disbanded when the Season ended. We wanted to remake our guilds names, maybe merge, who knows, but after Rudgutter announced all members currently in a guild would receive conquest cores when update happened, we didn’t need our old guilds anymore. The error is, guilds continued to gain CR, even though conquest map has ended, and the 2 guilds that disbanded are no longer rank 4 and rank 5.

Please respond to this error, I was the leader of NotAgency and SeankraZe was the leader of Lvl 7 and over. If you need further information about this issues, such as who were all the last current members, please ask, i got them all, thanks.

No one liked Agency because they are OP and chose to monopolize the map. If Agency chose only The Bastion and regular tiles to gain CR, they would of still been #1 guild in the game, but they chose to take all the forts possible and if you attack them, din would unleash hmmmmmmmhm to attack your guild. I would of ran Agency differently, have the bastion, the center of the map filled up, along with a few forts, and more than half of the other forts wouldn’t be occupied by my guild because I wouldn’t need them. I would only attack lesser guilds in self defense only because taking all the forts is “greedy” and i know it’s a exploit in how conquest mechanics to play the way they did this season, so I wouldn’t of gone that low.

Back to subject, for season 3, it will just be like season 2, except a lot of us have grown in last 2 months and may manage tile occupation differently. Other than that, i predict agency will do the same thing they did in the past, except “jim & john” may be more competition. Who knows, but if you fend off Agency more than become a burden, i’ll support you and your guild :).

      Hey guys. This is for all the players out there who need some tips on how to beat event mission 3. I’ll make this quick and simple.
 
FAQ:
How much do you get for clearing event mission 3? 4,356 exp, 16,712 event points, 33k wood/metal, 27k food/arcana.
 
How much do you get for [insert here]? Don’t know. Don’t care, this is what you get.
 
Should I rush the citadel and silos? Only if you can’t do the mission, destroying the cit gives a lot of event points (victory), but the rest of the rewards are for the more damage you inflict.
 
 
Requirements:
1. Lvl 5 to Encampment. (lvl 6 recommended)
2. Lvl 7 Rangers. (lvl 8 recommended)
3. Lvl 8 Alaric. (Lvl 7 Alaric CAN NOT do this mission, but a Colette may be able to)
4. Lvl 8 rivet. (Lvl 6 or lvl 7 rivet will “get the job done,” but lose the rivet every attack).
 
      This was tested with lvl 6 encampment, lvl 8 rangers, lvl 8 rivet, and lvl 8 alaric. Max 1 ranger and 1 rivet loss, to no casualties per attack.
 
1) Deploy 1 rivet, and the rest rangers at this location: http://postimage.org/image/fqr25u6lj/.
2) Destroy lightening tower. Then ALL of your units would then attack the farm mill on the left of it. If your units went to the Mine on the right, then you deployed too far to the right.
3) After the farm mill, then 2 things will happen, a “few” units (one must be the rivet because for melee units the encampment building is closest) will go left, and then main attack force will attack the garrison and mine.
4) Prepare your “Devine light” to stun the enemy hero and units, where the “range” will also stun the mage tower and archer tower. Before the enemy has a chance to become unstunned, the rangers who attacked the mine and garrison will attack the enemy and will stick together.
5) Enemies are dead, attack the mage tower (same with units), then when the mage tower is destroyed, your units will attack the web pillar and archer tower. AT THIS TIME, go towards the lvl 2 gatling sentry on the southern left side and destroy it, after that, go for the lvl 7 flame bunker. You do this so your rivet and extra units won’t get gunned down.
== Note: If any units are getting attacked by the lvl 8 archer tower on the very right side of the map, then your doing something wrong, no units should be in range of this tower until 4 min of the attack.==
6) You should have destroyed the lvl 2 gatling sentry and lvl 7 flame bunker, while your rangers tank and destroy the web pillar, archer tower, citadel and some silo’s. At this time, whenever your units is getting attacked by a “flame bunker,” tank the damage with your hero and help destroy the bunker.
7) By this time, just follow through with the attack. It’s pretty self explanatory by this point. Don’t let your units tank any more than they have to. Attack the last mage tower (lvl 5) on the top right corner when you feel they can handle the top left corner of the map (w/ lvl 8 archer tower), blah blah, hope it helps.

They have a bug report / suggestion thread that is meant for posts like this, so post there instead of here. Other than that, same thing happened to me a few times. It sucks, especially the weak attackers.
