I recommend deleting the 2nd sentence in the first post which is hilariously inaccurate- “This guide is about Flash, which offers comparable 3D performance and quality to Unity.”

How about just fixing EMP instead of basing the game around it?
It’s interesting to see the people who think EMP is fine “as is”, go on to cite their examples of certain cards, or strats that people use which help nullify EMP’s effect. …and thus in turn reinforce that people are in fact building decks as a reaction to, and because of, EMP.

Manual vs. Auto play (less points)
it’s harder to win wth auto than it is to select the cards yourself each turn. It should not net less points when you win, it’s kind of ridiculous.

Talked about here a lot before, and new case in point:
Every single new card that just came out with these raids is 4+ hp except one with 2hp which has (of course!) evade. Pretty clearly imo all designed due to the prevalence of EMP.
If no action card was more than strike all 1, there could be a lot more variety in card design and game play strategies.

He’s just making that up based upon personal feeling, w/o any research.
I opened the client with Sothink, and did some testing as well while disconnected from the internet. Between the two there is nothing that lead me to believe that it would work any way other than it appears. You get whatever is in the box you picked, if you had picked another box you would have gotten another reward. The client has specific draw commands for each reward location, as well as captures the mouse position of what grid location you clicked in the window to select the prize.

He is what he is, because he has the highest HP. One of the low HP commanders with no effect would be a better example.

How you can you say in the balance thread that EMP isn’t the problem in Tyrant, when you yourself are using it as the measure for whether or not other cards/strats are useful?

The point of this thread is “Minor changes to make cards more playable”. Making EMP strike 1 jam all, would be a minor change that makes dozens of other cards more playable.

As mentioned above, and I’ve said myself several times before as well. Emp IS the problem here. Various chages have been suggested in this thread, but the majority of them are for +hp to cards under 3hp to make them able to withstand Emp. Emp needs to be “fixed” to something like: strike all 1, jam all. Emp is a “game breaker” in the sense that it is so commonly used, no one can seriously use a deck using 1/3 of the cards (those with 1 or 2hp) and subsequent game strats, etc. due to “Getting Emp’ed”
