we still have a few (4 at time of writing this) spots left

If your around lvl 45 + and stuck in a town by yourself, (or with a bunch of folks who don’t contribute) this would be the ideal town.

We really need a couple of more contributors (yeah all towns do buy hey I touting for our town)

I also keep a B rating and am lvl 63, we have at least 4 other players lvl 50 + who all contribute so the town does progress

We also chat and help each other with quest items so really what else could you ask for – yeah yeah cookies be nice but my workers are always sneaking tea breaks so cookies are in short supply

2 spaces, be nice if they were filled with people who don’t mind donating, yes we are a casual town but we have 4/5 decent donators already and it would be nice have a few more now the requirements are getting higher

Topic: Dungeon Overlord / What is the future of DO?

There is Plenty NOG could have done or be doing apart from APC to make this game better

Fixng the leather raiding boost and the Mountain Bonus for increased loot that instead of benifiting you screw you over, try playing the game most players dont need more leather once they hit T2’s especially at the cost of the rarer resources.

Address the fact that forever active player there is @ least 30 inactives

Implement some of the suggestions players have made to make the game more player friendly

I could go on, I dont believe the APC combat update will do anything to address the issues this server has,@ present i feel like many others – gutted that i wasted cash for DM on a game thats basically dead already

The choice to when u activate boosts from chests be nice but it wont change the fact that the leather raiding boost is a hinderance. Getting something from a box that you will never use is not going to entice people to open these boxes

Yes they can be good at very low lvl but why would i be enticed to waste my money on something that i have no intention of ever using because not only is the sheer amount of leather you get annoying it also lowers the chances of you getting the better item.

If you keep the buff, please change the way bonus raiding materials are collected to the same way you get your bonus from burning.

I would be happy to see the Boost gone from the game.

Sorry i dont see the point of making an event that a lot of people cant compete in

most of us try to max our research to the highest we can get as soon as possible, some people even spend there cash getting the extra tiles to do that. Yes i could downgrade a few dungeons, build some libary’s lvl some locks, try and win,then delete and rebuild but that’s probably going to eat a lot of time and resources I could put to better use.

some people have already maxed there research, yes they could build more lib’s but again that means they destroying a lot of work to participate in an event. These people have been long term players (customers) and this is how you lot want them to participate in your celebration.

Granted lifes about choices, but if its a choice of messing up weeks of work to participate in a medicore event then to me its not really a choice.

You’re saying you plan to run more events,are these events going to be for everyone, or just select groups – Ive missed loads of events in my gaming career, mostly due to timezones, RL or just the fact i couldn’t be bothered, this the first time i will be unable to compete because i have actually played the game and filled my dungeon with bookcase already

I honesty @the stage now where i questioning why i bother to log onto this game , Pvp is basically non exsistant (see Sharks to the player base post). there more in-actives than actives (turns game into farmvile) and the one event that I will be around for is totally about the game recording some %

sorry if i coming across as argument, bt i (as well as others) have invested cash into your company, we finally get an event and i find its not suitable for peoplethat have actually played the game and built bookcases/lvl’d there locks – outstanding

Bit of an unfair competition is you ask me………………

the first bracket ain’t too bad, but a lvl 21-28 should never be able to compete against a lvl 29+, most people move there locks to a bigger libary as soon as they can

also anyone in the lower lvls only needs a high lvl friend to send them some bookcases

The higher bracket is going to reward the people with the most top end furniture / and or the folks buying or being lucky enough opening a box to get the research boosts, i very much doubt a lvl 41 can compete with a lvl 50

Granted some people research a lot more than others, but thats again brings out a little unfairness, peoplethat have converted dungeons to pvp are penalized over the farmers who just sit in there dungeons.

maybe i just being a cynic, but for a birthday celebration (lol 2 years beta testing go NOG) this rates just above the christmas event. if you cant think of something that’s fair to all why make an event that most of us know we cant compete in

The Problem as i see it is that you spend way too much time making an army, that’s possibly gone in one hit. The thought of the retraining time alone would dampen the enthusiasm of most people.

I have played a lot of these type of games over the years, what keeps most people playing is the ability to recover from a heavy loss, this game seriously hampers that unless you are willing to hit the DM’s to cut down on your loss

IMO a big help to pvp would be to limit the amount of lvl’s you can lose. I dont mind spending a little £ on a game, would i pay a small fortune to replace my army – the answer to that is no, i probably quit

Hiding option is silly IMO, creature costs/ upkeep should be more balanced so that its more possible for a newer player to maintain defences.

This game also need a certain ammount of restrictions, a lvl 40 player should not be able to attack a lvl 15 player. no wonder most people quit early on, they stand no chance – the counter to this is to hide, all thats doing is sheltering someone from the loss, that makes losing them a lot more annoying.

There no balance to pvp, while the ability to attack anyone is beneficial @ times i think most players would sacrifice that for some action on this server.

A way to tidy up or delete combat reports would be great, having to filter down through 2/3 days, having spy reports seperate would be a help,same with player v PvE reports

Deleting them the easy option,that way players could choose which ones they wanted to keep and would save heavy attacks wasting ages looking fora spy/battle report thats hidden in between 50 useless reports

Mat,
Good business practice for any company is to treat (or try too)all your customers the same, NOG take our cash so why should n’t we expect to be treated equally.

Who cares if it worked or not, that again comes down to the developers, tests are usually done on one server (used to be things called test servers years ago,now its the public they inflict it on), the point we making is we were basically ignored.

On Point 2, all i gonna say about that is, that company made at least an effort to give something back to there customers over xmas, which is a lot better than the “We are considering these options for 2013”

Events, promotions etc keep players playing, that’s something this server really needs,unless they plan to lay events on for the 50 players left next xmas anyways

Only reason this got mentioned IMO was because Shark noticed it and posted, otherwise we would have been treated like mushrooms. (kept in dark and fed on sheet)

Probably one of the few games companies that have made NO EFFORT to give there customers an event over the holidays, that pretty much says it all to me.

I don’t find that answer acceptable either

Some of us pay/have payed to play this game. surely that gives us the right to be treated the same as your “veteran” servers.

There plenty of other games providers that bend over backwards to give events to there players, they realize that they are the people that keeps them in a job, Kong players are being milked of there cash while nothing is being done to make them feel that they are anything better than cash cows.

Would have been nice to have something special to do over the holidays.

As a community we should keep our Kreds somewhere safe until we are treated the same as the other players, why should we pay for there veterans to reap the benefit.

Topic: Dungeon Overlord / 2nd Dungeon Design

Thanks for the reply’s

@ Nightowl – found the design for the first dungeon there, have searched for what i am after but never found anything helpful to a totally new player on securing a 4 door (or anything but a starter for that matter ) and getting the info onto these forums would be nice, we are after all Kong players, our community revolves around Kong and posting here first lets you get to know the people you are playing with

The jump from 1 to 4 doors is steep, its off putting for new players, granted you can “hide” your troops but personally i feel that’s never going to make me learn, learning costly though. About a weeks play so far and losing low lvl’d creatures testing your designs does not add to the games enjoyment. IMO no wonder so many people give up early

@ Mat I starting to realize its not something that everyone is ever going to agree on, as i level up its going to change and yes specializing dungeons would make me think twice, the basic’s have to be around the same though – you want your melee to spawn in a place that’s going to protect your locks

I was just hoping to get some basic’s, i seem to be redesigning my dungeons daily,cant afford to really test them out just to satisfy curiosity due to still being new.

might run a few tests if the discussion takes off, cant afford to at present as i never seem to have spare resoruces

Hi,
As title suggests i am looking for a guide or some advice on how to place my buildings in my expansion dungeons. Have searched but only found a starter layout and really don’t want to play the rebuild XXX times option as dong it with my starter dungeon wasted so much time and resources

If anyone who has played before and is willing to “Trusted Friend” me to Study a decent layout would earn my Gratitude (i also keep your dungeon floor clean of resources if i can)

I located in Bull Marsh 16:19

Also on the lookout for a guild, prefer the small friendly group rather than the huge zerg but having people to learn / get advice from is my main priority @ present
