I don’t know about CoD, Maplestory, or Sims sucking…. I certainly don’t find them entertaining, and don’t enjoy playing them but the Sims is a well built game, and CoD is a decent built game, it just never EVER shows any sign of change or improvement.

Topic: The Arts / What is a good way to learn how to draw?

Thanks for the advice, I’ve bought one of those mini-pocket sketch pads so i can just pull that out on the bus or the car or something.

I to bought one of those how to draw dragon books, and also found it doesn’t really help you draw anything that isn’t depicted in the book.

I’ve also tried that adding a personal touch while trying to duplicate someone else’s work, “ill draw floppy ears instead of straight ears,” I’ll make the tail long and fluffy instead of short and fine" and eventually you get something that seems to me, more of my personal style, and looks like something I wanted to draw all along.

I guess I will have to start drawing from real life (if real life would hold still long enough for me to draw it! :P )

Thanks for all the advice, guess I just have to keep pumping out drawing after drawing. :D

Topic: The Arts / What is a good way to learn how to draw?

I’ve been attempting to teach myself how to draw, but recently I’ve hit a snag and can’t seem to get my drawing abilities to where I want them to be. I’ve bought a few art books over the past few months, and have traced and copied other art work I’ve found on the web to teach myself how to draw.

I’m not terribly bad at drawing, I think i’m at least decent enough, I can copy other pictures,etc without much problem, I can follow those art book instructions about drawing constuction lines, then add everything else, and get something very close to the book’s final product, and I can draw some objects from real life, mostly furniture, and other simple objects, nothing like animals or people yet.

I don’t have much interest in realism art, the reason I started teaching myself art was to write a comic-strip for my school newspaper, so I need something that will teach me how to draw cartoons/comics/imagination/or what I see in my head. (The comic ideas in my head involve dogs/wolves/foxes, so something specifically on how to draw those would help out.)

The problem I have is I can’t get whats in my head onto the paper. I also have trouble drawing one thing in different poses (sitting, jumping, sleeping, walking).

So if anyone knows of any resources to help out with my problem, be it books, movies, videos, drawing methods, tips, some type of food that makes your brain stronger?, anything!

My sister likes some more “Male themed” games, she plays Halo, CoD:BO (only BO, nothing else), and Borderlands. Though she won’t touch strategy games like Portal, Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, RUSE, etc.

I always like the Pokemon Game’s music, especially the really cool, fast paced music for Gym Battles, and the Elite Four. I like the music from Pokemon Silver, it has a nice Nostalgic feel to it.

I’ve had Base 0 for the past 2 years so unfortunately I can’t claim any of these goodies. But I applaud you guys for compensating us for something that you had no fault in, you guys do your job wonderfully, and this is by far the best staff on any game site I’ve ever met.

I do recommend Galaxy Online as a good choice of game, they have a staff just as good and dedicated as Kongregate’s, if the server goes down because of their mistake, or you lose upgrades or ships because they messed up, they compensate you, they shower you with goodies! I’ve recieved a few commanders and Blueprints (quality items in the game) because of unexpected server crashes, over-extended game matinence or even server-wide lag issues. Which they don’t only compensate you for, they fix immediately, I’ve never had one of these problems for more then 2 days.

We have “OC Ponies” ( OC = Original Character ) instead of the “fursonas”. Bronies also seem to make more of the things such as fanfics, artwork, videos, games. (though thats also because its from a TV show as well)

Im to having trouble answering this, beacuse im the opposite of Rich, have info on Bronies, but not as much on furries :P
