Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / Game is getting boring... too much Change!

It’s almost impossible to perfectly balance cards. As they create more cards, they have to come up with new ideas. To do this, they have to do things that might not be balanced correctly.

It’s also important to make new cards better than the old ones, from the developer’s standpoint. They want the players to keep striving to get the best cards, not to just get some cards that aren’t any better than what they’ve already got.

Topic: Serious Discussion / My Theory on Social Networking Sites

Everybody knows that people can see what you put on Facebook. This is nothing new. So if I tell my friend that I am lying to the people down at the Welfare office, I deserve to stop getting my checks in. Saving taxpayer’s money is not a bad thing. Likewise if your boss finds out that you’re stealing his time, it’s not Facebook destroying America. It’s justice being served.

And if you think that your text messages aren’t being kept by your service provider, you would be wrong. Anything that you do with your phone is being recorded.

And who cares if people know that there are Anarchists out there? Anarchy is a form of- or lack of- government. There’s nothing wrong with being a Socialist or a Communist or an Anarchist, if that is what one chooses to believe in.

If your boss is going to contact Facebook to find out how much time you spend on there from 9-5, he really doesn’t deserve to be in charge of anyone.

Your nationality and ethnicity are two different things. By my nationality, I am American. But my ethnicity, I am about seven different things, the greatest of which being Italian.

Topic: Off-topic / How Many Of You Dont Believe In God?

I don’t believe in any god that anyone on Earth has ever believed in.

But to say that there was not some being that created our universe could be considered illogical. I’m quite sure that we will be able to create a universe someday. When we do we will not be able to enter it or change anything inside of it. So whoever created said universe will be a “god,” but the beings of said universe will never actually be able to come in contact with him.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Is homework helping us?

I think we can do without homework. There are times for it, yes, but there comes a point where a student will make up his own mind on whether or not he is going to do his homework.

Let’s take math class for example. Right now I am taking Calculus and Statistics. In my Calculus class, I’m assigned homework about three or four days a week. I never do it at home. It’s always just more and more practice, and I feel that I either know it, or I’d rather just ask my teacher for help before school. I’ll usually do some part of it when I have free time during school, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I did the whole thing. It is rarely checked, and it doesn’t have an impact on our grades.

Statistics on the other hand, is checked every day. If we don’t have it done the day after it is assigned, it’s a zero. I hate this method. I know what I’m doing in that class. Hell, I could be teaching that class. The homework is just time consuming, mindless BS. I have somewhere around an 89 in the class, but without the homework grade it’s more like a 96. Now when someone looks at a 89, they think, “This kid has a decent grasp on what’s going on in this class.” But really, I know all of it.

Other classes, like science or history, tend to have tests at the end of chapters. Why does all of my homework have to be done the day after I learn it? I won’t be tested on something for another three weeks, so why do I deserve a zero if I do it a week later? It’s still benefiting my education to do it, and when it’s done doesn’t really make a difference.

So yeah, there needs to be a change with the way homework is given.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Could God be dead?

How do we know God can do whatever he wants? Maybe God is just playing a game of Spore. He created the universe as we know it, he lets us live here, and he goes on doing whatever he has always done. And now he’s bored of the game.

Topic: Serious Discussion / 150 Protesters Arretested in California

People area allowed to protest, but they aren’t allowed to block roadways. I’m sure that if you were trying to get home or you had an important meeting, you would want the death penalty for these people.

Why arrest a hundred and fifty people? It seems that if the government is trying to save money by cutting school budgets, they’d be in such a place that it would cost too much to arrest that many people. Why not just move them or something? Say “hey, you’re blocking the roads, take your protest somewhere else please”.

They are protesters. If they wanted to protest somewhere else, they would have. They knew what they were doing was wrong, they saw the cops coming. They could have moved, but they didn’t. And now that they are arrested, their message is being broadcast over the entire country. They did their job, and the police did theirs.

You could think of that a thousand different ways.

No, you can’t. Under most Christian religions, only Christians can go to heaven. And not all Christians even get to go. You’re a terrible Christian if you really think that non-Christians can go to heaven.

I think banning television would be a good start.
You can’t ban television. That’s crazy. And incredibly legal.

You won’t learn anything if you just do it once. Think about something you learned once. Do you actually remember it? I couldn’t tell you much about the world history I learned about in ninth grade, but I remember lots of things that I learned about American history in tenth grade.

I mean you should delete learning Ameican History FIVE FRIGGIN TIMES

And you’re not actually learning the same thing each time. If the last time you learned this was your first time, there is no way that you would be able to take in all of the information. You need to build on what you’ve already learned.

What game have you fine individuals put the most time into?

I’ve got over 100 hours in Pokemon Fire Red, over 100 in Emerald, over 200 hours in Pearl, and about 100 in Platinum. That’s years of playing and training, but even still is definitely the most time I’ve ever playing any game. I guess in Red, I trained a few party members to level 100. In Emerald, I tried training specific teams to use in the Battle Frontier. Then I heard that Pokemon would be able to be transferred to a new Wi-Fi DS game. That’s when I started EV and IV training. I spent a lot of time doing that in Pearl, and battled a lot online. I still battle a little bit online in Platinum and like the new Frontier too.

I guess it’s a lot of time to play one series of game, using the same Pokemon through all of them, but it’s a lot of fun. I dare anyone to show me a more expansive, strategy based RPG that you can play with someone else online.

Kongregate loses money due so much money given away —> Kongregate can’t pay for website, but they said it was a promise they would give them money —> can’t back out of it —> Then hackers will go on here and get umlimited kred or something like that —> Kongregate can’t pay for website soo… —> they close website. People are mad, Kongregate loses money. —> Next time you go to publix, your going to see Emily Greer asking for money on the street —> ….lol

How does giving away Kreds cost Kongregate money? They may not see quite as much Kred revenue, but how much do they really get anyway?

Kreds are money, so they cost money. When you tip Kreds, you tip a certain amount of dollars to the game. Also, with microtransactions, you are paying for the product, and the developer gets paid in dollars, not in Kreds.

Uh, yeah, good point. I wasn’t thinking about tips.
