Topic: Realm of the Mad God /
This will be a small guide to these two very confusing classes (for people who just unlocked them).
Firstly, let’s view what they have in common;
They are both in the last three classes unlocked (normally);
They both require T2 classes;
They are both female (reasons I won’t explain);
and finally, they are both CONFUSING!
We will begin with the Trickster, a class who lives quite up to her name; while being tricky at first, she can quickly become one of the more strategic classes of the bunch.
The Trickster uses Daggers and Hide Armor like the Rogue and Assassin, and requires the following:
A level 20 Assassin,
A level 20 Paladin
Now, what makes the Trickster, well, tricky, is that her ability is like no other. To begin, it teleports you, which opens a whole new world of abilities. A few can be:
Getting to Limon quickly, or any dungeon Boss, for that matter,
Quickly traveling across the region (which is why you should keep the first Prism, will explain,)
Teleporting into castles with chests (like Deathmage, Ogre King, Oasis Giant, etc. etc.,)
And many, many more which I cannot go into detail with.
However, this is not the only thing that the Prism does. No, it does something that can be used to your advantage (and disadvantage); it creates a decoy.
A few things to note about the decoy is that it appears when you use the ability, and teleport to where your cursor is currently located on the screen. The decoy runs in the direction you were running, and aggros enemies as if you had run past them. The decoy time varies depending on the Prism, staying longer as you progress higher through the tiers.
-You can escape from big, hurtful enemies.
-You can use it to move quickly through the realm.
-You can distract enemies, then hit them from the side/behind.
-You can access areas that are out of your reach.
-In Godlands, you could send a group of gods crashing into somebody b/c of decoy.
-You could teleport into lava, or into an enemy that is right off-screen.
-When quieted, you have a serious tactical disadvantage.
-You could teleport to the wrong location in a rush, and end up in the enemies your are running from.
The Trickster, as her name implies, is used to trick and deceit her enemies.
While requiring tremendous skill, and timing, to effectively use, the Trickster is much like the other dagger classes, and an extremely fun class to use.
Ah, the Mystic; the first class I managed to get up to Class-Quest T3. The Mystic is much like the other classes who use Staves and Robes; Powerful, but weak.
The Mystic requires:
A level 20 Huntress,
A level 20 Necromancer
One of the first things you should notice about the Mystic, is that the higher-tier the ability, the better it does NOT get. You see, the Mystic is now a class with which you are supposed to use the ability wildly, and in ALL situations. It requires timing, skill, and a keen eye. Also the ability to shake off insults from fellow players.
The Orb is, you could say, the most complex of all of the abilities. Like I said, higher tier does not mean better (in most situations that the Mystic is useful in.) Rather, you use at most T3 Orb. The reason? Stasis causes the enemy to, basically, stop existing. The enemy grays out and stops moving, firing, and taking damage.
“How is this useful??” you may ask. Well…
-You can use this time to reposition, escape, drink a potion, and other necessities.
-It makes fighting the constructs 10 times easier.
-Allows you to regroup, form a quick plan, even call for backup.
-Many, MANY people will not have the skill, timing, and keen eye required to use the Orb.
-Players who do not expect it will get angry with you most of the time, and start letting the insults fly.
-Can cause disruption during an event (such as stasis-ing the Cube God when Rogue is rushing.)
-You could end up using the highest-tier Orb, and stasis an enemy for too long.
Do not, repeat, do not use the Mystic if you know you do not have the timing or skill to plant the stasis right. The Mystic is, however, still a Robe-Staff class, and everybody knows these classes are the fun, exciting, and generally the best farmers and such.
Hope the guide helped some people who were confused with either of these classes. If you have questions that I did not answer, ask and I will respond!
