improved travel system

Well the system needs a overhowl anyway i heard (cough). How about improving it by still using the same system.
Currently the system stores the starting location and the end location and the hero travels to it and back. The change now would be to save the starting location, and set the end location to the new starting location (except on Castle attacks or orcs). This would work for shrines, ressource nodes, “borders”. With that a commander could travel from A to B to C to D and from like D back to A.

What are the benefits of the system change:- you can use still the same travel system routin. Just for the way back another solution may maybe needed :P.
-Alot further travel range could be done with that. Maybe let the commanders “rest” 10 minuts before they can move again further.
-Alot new tactical possibilitys are in it too. You can set up ambushes through mines or shrines and hit someone from there(with direct way back to castle then). Stealthing yourself slowly towards your target and encircle him. Maybe Eriodna gets a bonus towards this tactic XD.

What are the downfalls for this system change:- it could get potential a bit harder for player maybe, or dangerous beeing right next to mines, shrines, towers.

Aliances definitiv need a notifier for players who apply to them, so they know about it. I see so many people applying to alliances and beeing in pending status.

What benefit can it be when 3/4 already are born dead! These poor guys, they only will feed the undeads. We dont need the dead here what we need are Farmers for the land, woman for giving birth, man who can fight the orcs and claim new grounds. Oh gods how shall we feed all these new guys with so little spare food we own with devourers at our backs and orcs infront of us.

tournament gold
in kong chat quit a few think the Gold amount form the tournament is still to high.
I think so too. It really could still be half of the current amount. With that you would still get some nice small benefits and bonus out of it, but it wouldn’t be to much influence on the game that people will not buy it instead.

A day and night over the realm. Maybe 6h for a day and 6h for a night. (let the realm look dark with maybe a overlay XD). In the night orcs become stronger, and defense gets a small bonus maybe.

rain, snow other weather conditions
That would be pretty unique too, the weather could change randomly on realms and it would have a small influence on the living people in it. Like increase or reduce production, walkspeed of troops fighting potential and so on.

Dark ambient music
Well again a music suggestion :P But i truly think a small dark ambient music which fits the theme of the game on the world map would make the player feel much more emerged into the game and realm.

Why this is a good idea for the game management? Well, people will spend more gold moving to get to a better spot if they do not like the first one they are in. It can potentially generate more gold use.

+1 actually alot of player in kong chat like this idea. If the move is random its a win for devs and also players. With that the movement isn’t overwhelmingly powerfull anymore, but it does it’s job. In the same realm it’s like a random new location then.

Production tournament

This one is a good one too. It actually is the best (even if i cant participate in it currently successfull :D).
It allows you to use strategy and tactics through fights and plunder to reduce the production of other while trying to stay ahead. Goes same for teamwork with alliance member and other players to reduce from the ones above you. Nicely done.

Gold win
I think (and a few on kong too) that the gold payout is way to high. Take one 0 away and it will still be good. With such huge sums you practical will invoke the “banker” in people. Getting so much lets people think “mmh i can get so much for free, no need to buy any”. A bit less is fine too in that area.

But gold for win is good. This is allways welcome buy all player :P mostly.

Battle rating tournament

This one is actually good (except bugged or new player in it who just started :P)
Good for low and mid lvl player and the one who got hitten alot. Seems so far many like it like it is.

But it isn’t good for the one high in battle rating. Mostly low lvl 1-5 will own it easy.

improving Kill tournaments

What issues need to be fixed with tournament, so it gets more fair for all players (well abuse can never be fended off completly but it can be reduced)

alliance hitting
THIS should not give exp. Sure it doesn’t “matter” much but if the both spend gold for healing they can easily take first place and second with it and get the gold back.

alliance leave timer
Alliance members leaving should not be instand or at last a timer for when they can join a alliance again. So they dont leave just for tournament to push each other like said on alliance hitting

multi accounts
Same issue here like on top noted. just 2 accounts doesnt even need to be multi, maybe friends or alliance members. Moving both to the realm borders hitting each other for 3x more exp for tournaments. Healing themself up with gold…. Its win win and will be done 100% if you don’t plan something out =).

Against such strategies normal player well will be losing their fun.

Maybe doing a independed kind of tournament. Which is not based on the gain of the realm. Where everyone can submit 1 hero with a set ammount of AP. Which then fighting each other. The heroes allways get healled up after a fight and the best one wins. Could be done in many different brackets like 10k ap 20k ap and so on.

possible solutions
Change how instand heal works. Make it just a % of the whole heal time instead of a 100% heal time reduction. With that you take out the pay to win factore imense, and the tournament gets more viable then too because people need to plan for better battles to get better results.

Dont allow multi accounts, double the armys is already a issue. Could be done through IP check.

Or if you want to allow multi accounts make that any gain through it is maybe reduced or there is none if they are from the same ip. With that 2 people can still be in a household fight each other but cant ravage themself for kill points nor ressources.

But honestly I think the main issue here is the healing function.

I also think a shop would be good for most of the function. It would safe you time in the long run then implementing every function an different place. It helps player also to find stuff easier like name change.

book buyable
Maybe also the book may be buyable through the game (if this is possible) so player can just read it while playing =). I would do this.

This Suggestion thread is purely for what gold options could be possible and what you would pay for. I love Free to play alot but also devs need to feed their kids, so lets put in some nice thoughts on good options here.

Also please no option which lets the game practical plays for you then the player playing it. It may be oldschool but i think a player should play to enjoy themself not let a game play itself (well idle games are a exception :P). But cutting down on a few task is fine.

First the heal option probably should change. It already creates a few people to dislike the game because this is the pay to win option. BUT it is also obviously a good tool for earning. I think it could be tweaked and kevinhu5 had a good suggestion for it.

healing
A healing of a unit only healing 10% of their healtime and can be done 1 time per unit max. This would be like a 10% heal time tower. It’s not OP and still would work for people to get a bit faster their units back.

Or we really need you guys to bring in a few healing pots for all ;).

A subscription or one time deal Membership, VIP system
Like investing 5-10$ for some cosmetic and time saving options. A bundle of stuff could get into here. Maybe a few different packages.
-more exclusive banner options for complicater designs, more colors, more forms
-a notepad to write down co-ordinates and a link to it so you can move fast to them when clicking on it
-a little premium membership golden shine around your castle on the map
-additional extra heroes with please no OP stats =) but to incease the variation and commanders people can have.
-including maybe queues into the bundle too
-repair all
-and lot more

automatical heal 5 min healtimes
A functions people YEARN for. If this could be getting into a kind of premium membership model you probably will get a huge fund boost.
If a hero has a under 5 min healtime it automatical heals up to 0. So if he starts with 10 and drops to 4:59 min then the hero will be healed up instandly. With that the game became a lot more fluent and its a good paying option in my eyes.

Well I am not much for this idea but alot people would love this too. I think this would fit into a premium membership also.

The stuff here in this is draconswan. These are all just suggestion. It doesn’t actually need to be usefull or balanced, it is more of a base of what could be implemented to give devs some options or ideas =). Not more not less. I am thinking more about “what would be cool if”, rather then “is it balanced”

And if you read the whole suggestion it. Then you see i also included like stuff which has absolut NO influence of a power. Getting influence points, buying nicer grafics for a castle or flag, or additional heroes doesn’t influence anything which would it make harder. Sure i also said more hero slots heck even growing STAT bonus XD but its all about what devs take in or not.

growing bonus for Kings

Maybe some special growing bonus on Kings for reigning over a longer and longer time. It could be a slight stats boost maybe or something other. Or maybe some kind of “influence” which is generated over time and the longer he reigns the higher the bonus he gets. And with influence you can then buy special items too flags or other stuff, cuter castles (on world map) or other stuff(additional heroes, slots XDDD).

Reigning 1-5 days. Influence gain 1 per hour.
Reigning 5-10 days. Influence gain 2 per hour.
… and so on.

A overview world map

It would be nice to have a overview world map. So we see where which realm is. It gets rather bothersome to go through the corners to see which number (if you dont know them in and out) the adjusting realms are. Also it could help to see the alliance influence maybe. And who is reigning where. Lot of benefits from a world map.
