Same problem as these two ^

EDIT: Worked on another computer though. Hmm. The one it doesn’t work on is linux and I guess might have an old flash player version. Will check later.

Topic: General Gaming / How To Win At Cardian

Thanks chesshawk. Awesome suggestion My end-game deck was 8 mines, 6 peasants, 1 crystal mine, 2 parting gifts! Only one
card not in starter deck!

There’s literally no point looking at any other deck. This deck can only lose very early on when you only have one parting gift, and that’s really only if you play it particularly early. As a note of interest, after completing the game I bought my first (excepting tutorial) booster pack, and got a Dwarven Boon (150 free, instant gold). That would have made winning somewhat quicker!

Topic: Tyrant / Suggestions

I looked at the first couple and last couple of pages and don’t see this suggestion:

- Allow decks to share cards.

E.g. I have only one EMP card, but multiple decks I want to put it into. I have to remove it from the previously used deck and add it into the deck I want to use. Why?

I don’t think this could cause any problems. The only game-changer is that it allows you to use the same cards in your defend and attack deck… is that such a bad thing?

Also, no sort for the cards? It’s unbelievable that that hasn’t been implemented yet. At least get it in alphabetical order… having to go through all the cards to find one that’s mentioned in a challenge or forum post is ridiculous. And if you don’t find it… did you skip past it accidentally or do you not have it?

SpamMe1, that’s one heck of a useful resource. Should be submitted to be in the main guide listing post.

EDIT: Well, I’m not seeing Harbor Command, Rally Flag or Asylum in there, which are the cards I need to do the One-Hit Kill achievement (currently have two of each).

Still having trouble with this level. I hit the regenerating thing for its full health every time and it comes back… six times. :(

— Oh, OK. So I actually LOOKED at my card collection and found a Hydra, six Orcas and two Rally flags. Those guys ripped the f***ers apart.

how can you have a problem with happiness after doing all the science? Science unlocks partying, electricity, and most importantly the farm efficiency bonus which instantly should make you able to party all the time.

Topic: General Gaming / Rebuild: Tips, Strategies, Etc

Well, I played one game on normal, tried on harder and had defence% shooting up, so I looked at this thread, managed to win and get badge first time. Particularly thanks to Louis8k8’s post on page 9.

The main reason I would have failed before looking at this page is from playing too cautiously and too slowly (yes, Darkruler2005). 25-30% danger in defence is fine even right at the beginning: defending harder than that wastes soldiers you could be attacking with, which means more zombies, more future danger, meaning those horrible “75% danger with all people defending” scenarios.

For attacking, it’s really important to know how many you need to clear a building, and that ALL survivors kill the same number of zombies, whereas only soldiers lower the percentages. Also that if you send at least two people on a mission, the worst that can happen is one person dies… mission still completes and two people can’t die. Missions can only be failed by losing relevant squares/ALL the mission’s people in overrun or by a horde moving in to the mission square.

Happiness problems: Being more aggressive makes happiness less of an issue, just because you get out of the early stickiness more quickly. Grab bars and churches and things when it makes sense to, and prioritize this when you have a bad run. Grab a lab (you must start with one close-by) and research food science 1 immediately. When it is a couple of days from completion, do a bunch of scavenging runs (two people per run, preferably at least one scavenger), such that you have enough food to party straight away. If you can, repeat this a couple of times.

Leaders are important. I lost my only one from scouting on about day 13… it was lame. Forced me to convert an office block I had happened to collect into a school immediately and train up three leaders: which turned out to be a boon, because I needed two for the partying.

Topic: General Gaming / Desert Moon -- how to beat it

My 5th day 3 star strategy was similar to Mandracos. Apart from the final wave, the only support I used was the repulsor, and even in the penultimate wave, while trying to be extra safe, I only used three in the entire wave ( = 75 resources). The final wave I just stabbed all four support buttons continuously, which works perfectly fine :D

The main difference is that I didn’t use flamethrowers. I tried them out a few times, but I tended to find that they died a lot: the first time I played day 5, everything was going perfectly, until against the first hunter wave I placed 8 flamethrower guys… only 5 of them survived that one wave.

Imploder basically owns. It has the ability to kill Hunters seemingly more efficiently than flamethrowers, it destroys infected, the pushback clumps enemies together which is great for the flare gun, and the pushback also makes the enemies have to travel further, which makes slowing more effective, which goes great with the fuel launchers.

To anyone else reading this thread, here is my advice: get your 12 gold stars on days 1, 2, 4 and 5. Don’t bother with day 3. Unfortunately, you can’t just go and do day 3 on easy because then you won’t get the medium badge… :/

Topic: Technical Support / Allow chat error

The linux and OS X players have this bug. There are a couple of things you can try:
1) go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html and move the slider to “Unlimited”, and tick the two boxes at the bottom
2) if it still comes up, press ‘tab’ several times until the ‘allow’ option is highlighted in yellow. Then press space bar or enter, and it should go away
3) if that doesn’t work you can try deleting or moving the flash save files, but obviously then all of your old saves will be inaccessible. See http://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/30792-es-razzi3l-s-compendium#posts-611108

Topic: General Gaming / Epic War 4 hints/tips

Good advice in this thread. Mostly did what ElBandito81 suggested, except I didn’t use any skill except Invinsible shield, and I used Mad Bull and Elf Sniper instead of Epic Tank and Forest Hunter. Elf Sniper may or may not be better than Forest Hunter, but Mad Bull is much better than Epic Tank, considering HP is irrelevant. It also means you don’t need to buy anything at all from the yellow tree!

Got all badges easily, and didn’t use any titans ever. Didn’t use any skill except shield.

Topic: General Gaming / How do you beat cell craft level 6??

OK, done level 6 now. The advice in this thread was not that useful. The key is to build 25 lysosomes. That is the goal of the level. Don’t stop until you do that.

I decided that what was really killing me was the cell wall damage. Directly by it being reduced to 0, and indirectly by never having the energy to do things. Lysosomes are what will stop that.

- First turn off the mitochondrius and split the chloroplast. Move all three of these to an edge of the cell, separated by a nucleus width or so. Make 20 slicers. Turn on auto-replacement of peroxisomes and make a third one.
- Turn the mitochondrius back on whenever you need the energy.
- When the first injectors are incoming, move around a bit to find some AA.
- Make lysosomes. Lots of lysosomes. Don’t make anything except those and slicers. You can have a maximum of 25 lysosomes, and this is exactly how many you shall have.
- You shouldn’t have any problems with the other two viruses in the first wave, but if by some miracle at any point in this level an infector virus infects your nucleus, keep it 5% infected. The wave won’t end, so you’ll have plenty of time to heal, build up glucose, do whatever you like.
- When the lights dim DO NOT turn off the chloroplasts. There is no advantage to doing so (free radical production scales with glucose production). This is one of the things I was originally doing wrong.
- Don’t forget to keep building slicers (highest priority: always try to have at least 25), and lysosomes. Because your cell wall will soon get damaged, your ATP will constantly drain away. The way to fight this is to watch the “+ 38 ATP” graphic on the mitochondrius. As soon as it comes up, click to build something. Alternatively, click constantly.
- Pretty soon you’ll have 25 lysosomes and you’ve pretty much won.

Level 8 is trivial by comparison; completed it first time. Don’t make any toxin: and you have loads of time there to build 4 peroxisomes, 8 defensins, 25 lysosomes, 50 slicers, pick up lots of AA and glucose until you have 100 FA, then start making lots of toxins. For a bit of extra fun, turn off your chloroplasts when toxin level is 60% or so: once glucose runs out, then mitochondria start burning FA instead and you get hundreds of ATP, which makes toxic production amazing.

Topic: General Gaming / How do you beat cell craft level 6??

Still can’t beat this level, even given the advice in this thread. The main problem is there is no external input of glucose.

If there was only a little glucose lying around to replenish the supply at the right time (when the lights go up and the goddamn robot SAYS he is adding glucose would be a great time), it would be at least plausible.

I have tried all approaches so far mentioned here, making multiple chloroplasts, mitochondria, have tried lots, some, no defensins, doing a lot of micro-managing of turning on/off glucose/atp supply. It isn’t working.

Originally posted by Eyedol:

This reply implies there is supposed to be some free glucose to pick up. There isn’t, though. Has something gone wrong?
