- They might be on their way to the castle, or stopped.  On the map screen, in the bar on the left, click the Hero's image just to the left of the Kingdom button.  If they're not moving, try selecting them and selecting the Move button at the bottom, if there is one.
- Sometimes the Hero tab in the castle gets scrolled down, making it look like a hero is missing
- Did you send them out to capture a mine?  Click the Kingdom button, select the Mines tab, then click Call In on the mine that has your hero in it.
- They could be registered in the arena.  Go to the Arena and click the Arena button top-right.  Then look down the list and see if your hero's name is in the table.  You should be able to remove them from the arena by viewing the arena and clicking the cross in the corner of the window.</body>

(I'm assuming HoG uses SmartFox, it might use something different with the same issue, I suppose.)

There is a bug in SmartFox (multiplayer game engine) / flash player on linux which causes this game not to work for some people.  It might also affect people with any operating system set to certain interesting locales (SJIS in particular I think?).  It won't affect anyone else.

There are some workarounds; one a user can try is downgrading to flash player 9.  This doesn't seem to work for everyone, and also flash player 9 is much slower, leakier, and doesn't work with some newer games of course. :)

The other workaround can be done by the developers and is detailed &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/62864-some-multiplayer-games-dont-work-linux#posts-1419670&quot;&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. Do you know how many building upgrades there are and how expensive the Barracks level 10 upgrade is?  No?  It's unlikely that anyone knows... no one has got anywhere near it yet, at all. :P</body>

Seems you need to rely on your AI partner to make good moves. Half the time she spends the match running into a wall or attacking the fire. :/&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;

I completed it on second attempt.  First I randomised positions, to mix things up a bit.  Then I basically use aoe when it will hit a lot of things and attack, using my own position and attacks to form walls.

The most important thing is to kill the most RECENTLY spawned enemy IN ONE TURN.  Each enemy can spawn another one.  If you don't kill the FRONT enemy in one turn, it will spawn another one...

The first time I tried this level the AI got stuck, didn't move or use either of their units... so that was never going to work.</body>

Yeah, you misunderstood the question.

Also, I've noticed if you spread your units out, and one unit dies from each square, then you don't get any appear in the infirmary.  This leads me to suspect that it's better to have them all in one square.</body>
