Granted, but it’s so ol’ that it’s expired.

I wish people didn’t choke on cheese burgers as a result of their wishes.

I must reiterate that Polter Giest is indeed of squee quality. I will now proceed to bask in the cuteness overload.

I was expecting Haunt the House to be in this weeks BotD though, and I am surprised that it isn’t.

Mardek was a very good game, but I felt the fights got a bit tedious with constant input from the user to time the hits well. Despite the fight system that annoys me, it’s still one of the better RPGs on the site.

I enjoyed this defense game. While the troops may have been on the dimmer side and couldn’t turn themselves fifteen degrees to the right to save their life, there was something fun about making your troops cover each other. The aliens were fast, and at the beginning of each level you had to set up the early game defense that included low amounts of money, and a wide range of enemies coming.

Overall, I found this to have a good learning curve, and difficult enough to enjoy, but not too difficult after learning from a few failures.

I think it’s been about ten or eleven years for me. The first MMOs I played were so magical, and holds a dear place in my heart.

They’re pretty cute, and people may want them for collecting. Just like any collectible beanie baby sets.

If you’re looking for a game that isn’t on this site, but is still a decent Lovecraftian horror think I’ve heard ‘The Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth’ was a decent game.

The employees section where there’s so much cardboard boxes to stick your head into. There are enough cardboard boxes there to last me with entertainment for days.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but here’s some of the available games that you can download from Kong. It’s at the bottom of the page, but there’s a link that says ‘Games for Your Site.’

I’ll post it here for convenience anyways: http://www.kongregate.com/games_for_your_site

There’s also a few games that may have an ingame download.

I’ve always closed every single device that used an internet connection in my house and reset my router before Kongpanions switch out to try to maximize my internet speed.

Also yes, obscuring the bow is very disappointing. It doesn’t look as bad as clipping with a existing hat, but it’s still very frustrating to lose that part of the Kongpanion.

I’m personally thinking if you do post it, perhaps only post the links to the pictures so those that want to be spoiled can see it, and those who don’t want to see it can ignore it. That sounds like a reasonable compromise.

Topic: Kongregate / Bring back Global Mods, here is a reason why Global Mods are needed more than Room Mods

This is reply to the post below mine, now it’s less confusing.

Did you ask them if a they could possibly solve the problem by muting? If a few people are driven away from their room, it does not mean everyone in there dislikes the state of the room. The majority there may enjoy the current state, yet representation of the room would be based on those who disapprove of the current state of affairs if you only listen to those who leave. Of course should a happy, but less than agreeable majority have their activities restricted for the needs of the few?

It would be great if every room could provide a home for everyone, but when in Rome, do as the Romans do. If a room has a chaotic nature, then let the chaos thrive for that is what defines the room. I know which room you are talking about, and you can’t expect the majority to accept the legitimacy of authority, and forcing authority on them will only lead to rebellion and a greater lash back.

Moderators may stop trolls through negotiation and possibly force, but trolls also give up after they’ve been ignored for a period of time. There are not that many trolls that will continue to harass people after days of being ignored. Bringing in a global moderator is playing with a dice. On one hand it may actually stop harassment, and on the other hand the trolls may feel recognized and become excited with their infamy. Rather than promoting mods, promoting self control and mute button awareness amongst more irritable members may be just as beneficial.

There’s also another problem with deciding that a room needs moderator intervention based on only testimonies from those who leave. They may not always be accurate or truthful as them complaining would merit some kind of bias or agenda. Looking at what one of the users said when they told you about them leaving their room, they could not have been trolled unless they mentioned something they did mention which would have been fairly tantalizing troll bait.

Also, perhaps bringing in global moderators to the room would encourage some of the residents that harass users to leave, and join other chat rooms, and cause those chat rooms to be a bit worse off. If there’s a large collection of trolls gathered in one place, it may be best not to pop the bubble.

Moderators may be a medicine, but they are no panacea. Not every problem can be fixed with them, and instead the ones who can make a change are the regular users.

Why should we leave an active room that can get trouble modless? In my other thread I stated that my main chat room has mods but they are not on 24/7. But this one is a total different story because this particular chat has 0 total mods on the whole day. Now do you all see why Global Mods could be needed? Rooms like that should not be modless.

Without a doubt, I am against expanding mod power so of course this will be biased, and the nature of this passage concerns me. It has a zealous ring. You have your culture in your chat room, and they have theirs. I’ve heard many times in history where one group of people felt another groups ways of self governing was inferior or unacceptable, and forcing their government on others was a method of enlightenment. From what I know of history, forcing your beliefs and lifestyle on other people hasn’t always ended happily ever after.

Perhaps that room fills a niche that certain users are attracted, and they would prefer it to stay that way.

Well the poster has aged pretty well in my opinion. I didn’t even notice the quality dropped until Miztickow pointed it out.

Are you editing the image through a JPEG or a PNG file? JPEG files lose quality over time as it’s edited more, but PNG files should retain quality.

…But if he stops enjoying the site, suddenly there is something wrong with his age?

Yes, that means he is above the age where fun is permitted, and something about that age is just wrong.

In all seriousness I probably worded it badly, but I just meant that even if Dudewithpants is old, if he enjoys the place, then there’s nothing wrong staying.
