Direct trade of resources… never happen… will just encourage alts more than they are encouraged.


500k… level 20 would have to be at least 500 mil… otherewise having to do 3000000 transfers just to get enough resources for a 100k run of tesla would bore you to death and be no faster than just farming that player.

Uh… of course E*stack plays a big part in everything…. And if your in a strong corps you should be getting help from your corp or you are just in a corp with many WW’s which does not a strong Corp make.

Anyway I’m actually kinda disappointed it doesn’t outstat in Scorpio 1-3. Now I could understand it possibly only not out-statting in Scorpio 4, but than again its not like scorpio is a super challenge with the right ships. I’ll have to do some testing on my own to find out how well it works in Taurus

Time zone should not matter. The maintenance is based off of in game time. Just need to pay more attention.

imagine your pc rebooting every so often for upgrades and it breaks auto save in case it breaks the upgrade, and you have to check OS homepage for when it will happen? assuming you hoping to measure up-time in months/years and restarts are still a daily occurence. interesting how certain things get lower expectations than others.

There have been quadra gem x10 promos at 100 mp each, so 5.2k mp sounds right. Edit: Or actually, 1024*10 = 10k mp?, x12=120k mp for a comm.

I don’t think the increased stat increase is necessary. It already gives a huge advantage to have just that little bit more than your opponents. In pvp a 9* divine has about a set maximum and the only thing that varies is the initial/lvlup roll of statpoints.

All this proposal however creates a problem with proc chances. Some skills are not meant to get 100% proc, some will require rebalancing, when the total value of gems gets inflation. This is perhaps not fair to players already owning a high star comm of those.

Then again, is inflation in one of the few things that has retained a little steady value in the game, to be called fair? I don’t see why you want this so bad, everything you have done so far will become more worthless. You may feel like it’s coming anyway, and try to propose something not as destructive to you, but to support the speed up of more inflation seems like a weird thing to do to me.

I understand you would like a more equalitairian game, but this proposal won’t close the ‘gap’, which in fact, will never close because the rise above the field is in fact what drives the game’s revenue. Sorry to point it out to you.

Also, I in fact do support jjjuice11’s criticism.

While you make good points in the re-balance needed to make this concept work its not to say that it wouldn’t be too hard from a coding perspective to take on that undertaking. Especially if you just scale the balance accordingly. And actually there have been quadra promo’s for 10 mp each…(bet you missed those).

The while the increase in stat rate for a level 6 gem may not be required it does put a re purpose in a gem focus concept. While its not necessarily a want its a different avenue and approach that has not been suggested before on mainsite or here. Its a new concept.

I do find it rather interesting that your first post ever on kongregate was in response to this thread.

How does this close the gap? It would actually widen the gap more. WW will just make the level 6 gems with mp while getting the extra gems the f2p get. So assuming f2p use level 3 gems, there will be a 3 level gap instead of a 2 level gap. That’s not even counting the super duper bonus ren is suggesting.

The only reason any kind of “increase” was suggest was merely the fact of the sheer amount of gems needed to make a level 6 gem would cost. While you may spend on it thats great. Not everyone will feel the need to spend $100 a gem when level 5’s do quite nicely. _

Would like to suggest opening up the next tier level of gems:

Level 6 gems would greatly enhance the game. Would give all sorts of spenders a new way to spend on their 9* Rank Commanders.
What would these look like?

Well thats a great question lets look at the paper logistics first.

Level 6 gems will innately take 1024 gems to merge. This is one costly endeavor.

So what would make it worthwhile?

What if the bonus was better?

Level 6 gems would have a larger stat bonus increase. Because of the sheer time needed to make one, and cost adding +13/9/5 wouldn’t be enough. Level 6 gems would have a stat increase of +26/18/10.
Level 6 Triads would get a 50% boost.

In total a LvL6 Quadra Ruby of Accuracy would be +91 acc, +6.6% attack power, +8.6% double attack and +4.4% structure.

Why would this be great? Gems would play a big part in commanders at high ranks. While a 9* commander is good, one with level 4 gems is better. But one with level 5 gems even better. A commander with level 6 gems while seemingly ungodly also cost at current rate: 5200 mp to make 1 level 6 gem if gems are purchased during a gem sale, at 10 gems per buy. Quite expensive to make.

How will this benefit the free 2 play players?

Being that spenders will go for the large gems we need to re-evaluate how gems are earned. Meaning it will be much easier to get level 2 and level 3 gems. While level 4+ will still take time to earn.

Ideas on where to put more gemstones:

1. Make Restricted Instances drop 3 gemstones per instance run.(Using the 2 free runs per day one could get 6 gemstones)
2. Make gemstones available in honor shop. Suggested price: 450 honor each gemstone.
3. Double free gemstones from daily play bonus.

If all 3 options where added:
A person running 2 restricted instances, running league and in a corporation running level 10 pirates, would be able to make 4-5 gems per day.

Things to consider:
Gemstones merged into gems are random. So even if you earned 5 gems per day and got all the gems you needed: it would take 209 days to earn a lvl 6 gem.








Constructive criticism of this suggestion is appreciated.

X = 7 gemstones(yes this would be on purpose so you could never get a full 2nd gem… come on we know they are greedy)

Or something…

Basically incite the spenders to spend more… keep the free players around so we will because you have an active game.
