I would have found this funny, but it lacks subject/verb agreement.

Freakin' Spoilers
I was on Netflix and I saw “A Scanner Darkly”. I have been wanting to see this for a while. I click it and just to check to make sure it is the movie I was thinking of(i.e. the movie that had wanted to watch).
spoiler alert spoiler alert
It reads: "Working as an undercover cop in a world where almost everyone is addicted to Substance D — a drug that produces split personalities in its users — Fred Arctor (Keanu Reeves) sets up an elaborate sting to nab a notorious drug runner named Bob. Little does Fred know that “Bob” is his alter ego."
WTF! Netflix gives away a main plot twist in the damn description! For me this makes the movie less appealing because I won’t be having a revelation when I “discover” that “Bob” is his alter ego. All the careful clues the movie will drop wasted…
Anyone else experience things like this with Netflix? Inb4snapedumbledoreyouaren’tfunny.

Obama Proposes: Schools Lose High-Calorie Drinks & Snacks
In addition to phasing out high calorie food, there should be more eating times during the day. Seven hours at school with only one meal is damaging to the metabolism. I weight train and end up eating three times at school(not full meals mind you).

anime = win?
I don’t care for anime myself. Anything that is like +50 episodes is not direct enough, and contains filler. I liked Deathnote, but didn’t care for FLCL. Both were relatively short and contained no to minimum filler. Why did I not find FLCL to be enjoyable? FLCL was cryptic. Why hide a message that you want people to find? P.S.A.s are far more useful for communicating information. Anime should stick to entertainment.

Abortions- Are they really a bad thing?
Originally posted by philnotfil:
If you have to kill it, it was alive.
There are some interesting psychological effects that come along with abortion, even for people who have been raised to believe that it isn’t a big deal. A girl in my graduate program just dropped out because she is issues after having an abortion last year. She said that at the time it wasn’t a big deal, but when it’s first birthday came around she started freaking out about it. It is worse for people who have been raised to believe that abortion is wrong, but I thought it was interesting to see those things in someone who didn’t feel that way about abortion.
When you remove the negative consequences of people’s actions you cause problems.
To sum it all up, it’s the girls body, and if she didn’t want to get pregnant she shouldn’t have been having sex.
One of the qualifications of life is being able to reproduce. An infant is not alive.

Polygamy, Is it really a bad thing?
Don’t use the word bad. “Bad,” is subjective therefor if I think something is bad it is. At the same time you can think something is good and it is. I have never said polygamy is a bad thing thus your very first statement is false. I suggest you fix your original post so that this discussion can head in an intellectual direction rather than a subjective scream-fest.

If it is proven that not having or thinking about sex made you immortal...
Ugh ohh, Twitch droppin’ knowledge on yall.
“In a careful survey of 3432 U.S. 18- to 59-year-olds, 48 percent of the women but only 25 percent of the men cited affection as a reason for first intercourse. And how often do they think about sex? ‘Every day’ or ‘several times a day,’ acknowledged 19 percent of the women and 54 percent of the the men (Laumann & others 1994).”
Myers, David G. “The Nature and Nurture of Behavior.” Psychology. 7th ed. New York: Worth, 2004. 104. Print.

a debate about murder and death
Originally posted by FarmingFoolPig:
hi all i have a question that we can debate i think!!
why is it when a person does murder and kills someone or many people and they are sentenced to death, does the state then itself commit murder, to punish the person who murdered?!?
who then punishes the people who murder the person who murdered?!
we had a discussion about this in school last month and too many people had rock stances and would not talk about it with new ideas so i hope here you guys will have ideas
my dad often says two wrongs dont make a wright so I am wondering why is it legal for the state to commit murder but not an individual ?
Nothing is wrong. Just as nothing is right. It simply is. In having some method to deal with all opinions, perfection of said method (i.e. gov’t) is impossible.

Stop the ACTA agreement!
I was just on a streaming video site and this was on the front page, “Due to the recent proposed changes to the Internet Data Fair Usage Mandate to ISP Policies & Regulations 2007 act (r11734) brought into effect by the International Consortium of Global Data Infastructures starting from the 1st of next month we may have to limit your viewing time to 30 minutes per 24 hour period….”
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!
