I’d rather not until I have the House fully functional (it would be pretty terrible if I ask for material and end up not being able to use it). There were some more material submitted back in 2011 right before The EXPlosion, some of which are really great, and I will be using them. Also, I will keep most of the old items, just because they are nostalgic.

I think the first time I played was just after EXPlosion (I don’t remember the house at all) but I always like contributing when possible, so I’ll definitely be drawing something if there’s a house-decorating contest. This update sounds nice, and now people can finally stop demanding the house’s return with every patch!

The important thing to remember with the collector’s pendant is that it does nothing until you’re lvl 1k+ and drops happen MUCH more frequently (and are better stuff) from bosses than mobs, so until you’re in volcano/frosty/dc (where the boss rates are much higher) you’ll never find a whole lot.

Even then, iirc the loot rate is something like a 1/10000*droprate/100 chance, so about 1 drop/day is about as much as you can expect unless you’re lucky or have high dr (which is difficult in the challenge).

With much idling, it took me about 12d to complete it… not going to bother posting my stats because that’s apparently one of the slowest completions. My weapon was an epic earth staff enhanced with speed rocks from EXPLosion crates though.

Just came back to AI after a long break; realized I’d deleted all my save backups except for one at ascent #3. There goes 30+ ascents! Not to mention my equipment and IA mastery.

apocalypse mode was implemented after the last time I updated this thread (v1499, as it says at the bottom of the first post) I’m not playing the game very actively lately, so I haven’t bothered to decompile any newer versions and adjust the info here. Given how close the game is getting to the final version, I may just not bother until it’s complete.

Probably you just need more levels and/or stat increases. Prehistoric should be completable around lvl 3k, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, I saw the increased exp to get lvl 9k too, but I really don’t think it’s that significant of an increase – with the rate you can gain exp by lvl 8999 an extra ~100b isn’t going to slow you down a whole lot. I actually kind of like that it’s a round, memorable number now, because things like that appeal to me in a strange way.

@Darvious – your question has now been answered by at least three people. I don’t think there’s anything further we can do to assist you.

As for the changelog… it doesn’t look that terrible to me; all it will do is slow down the level scoreboards for people with more than 100 ascents.

An anti-lag option to disable Robacon’s rank from showing. Or change what key you press to toggle between rank exp displays. Either way, selling items in BA has been laggy ever since Robacon showed up.

Well, it’s not hard to acquire one (though finding one with decent bonuses may take a while) and not that hard to level, either – just hand it to robacon and have yourself a nice, long SC run. I picked mine up several versions ago when it would have been one of the best available weapons to give robacon for raids, but now it’s just something that sits in my inventory because I don’t have any pressing reason to sell it.

Ahh, you’re right, it does give a constant loot magnet at max level too, though that means you’d have to get it to max level with something other than DR equipped for it to do any good. Still not really worthwhile imo.

I really don’t feel like it’s worthwhile. The gem of Luck is much nicer, since it gives +75% droprate at max level as well as giving a 40% chance for max value on pixel or coin loot, and it doesn’t lose its stats when you unequip it.

The only one that doubled is Idle Dummy, since it’s ally drop has remained unchanged (1%) but the rare chance has more than doubled.
