No "Sell" feature on unwanted items
It’s the same for the other two contract weapons. You can’t sell them until you complete the third contract in the chain. The reason being that you need the previous iteration of the weapon in order to upgrade it to the next level via the contract.

FAQ/AMA about Cloudstone

It’s far from impossible. In fact, the best way to get first in PvP or Rift (unless you get a really easy PvP league) is to log on nearly every five hours and spend your Vigor on high point fights (and win).
*This also helps to earn money. If you can do this, replace your whisker roots with Seed Berries which helps you to earn 800 gold every after 20 hrs. compared to 595 of whisker roots. (This may not be accurate.)
Fixed that part for you. It’s Seed Berries that net you 800 gold in 20 hours.

Losing Guild Team Place
Do you mean that you’re not in the guild anymore, or that you’re not in the top ten on the Rift scores anymore? Zshadow doesn’t seem like the type to kick people randomly, especially if they’re contributing in some way, like Rift points. If you’re not in the top ten on the scores anymore, though, it means that someone passed you in points.

What would you buy Rubies for?

I enjoy games and I enjoy paying for them. Devs on kickstarter actually get money in advance quite often. But that’s because they are actually games that are made with love. Instead of putting as little effort as possible and using every cheap trick to whore money out of people.
I think you misunderstand the intention of this post. I am not a dev, but I do like to think that I’m close to them. Believe me when I say that they are indeed trying to make Cloudstone more fun, and they have a lot of plans for the future.
The intent behind this thread was that both the devs and myself want to know what things in this game people would pay money for. Yes, this game is fun, and it could be better, but at the end of the day, this is a business, and the devs need to eat, too. I’m simply just trying to find out what sorts of things people would like to see implemented that would be worth buying, or at least get people interested enough in the game to stick around long enough to consider putting down a few dollars here or there to improve their experience.

I wonder how does it work?
If they are on the top 100 global ranking board, you can click on their name to bring up the Viewer, then copy the UID number from the URL address, and replace the UID number in the URL of your own Forum Posts page. Tada! You are now on that person’s Kongregate Forum Posts page, and now know their Kong name.

Don’t get me wrong, this approach is faster, but because it relies on a Google search, it’s not always possible to find the name of the person you’re looking for right away. My approach may be more time consuming (at first), it’s much more accurate in the fact that it can find exactly what you’re looking for right away, and can even work in reverse.

It’s not a bug. I think it may be more of an oversight. Whether or not it gets fixed is to be seen, as we are unsure if it even needs to be fixed.

Or maybe I should switch to gold HPpots from shop (or at least are they good enough to be used as backup)?
A: Jelly Juice can be easily acquired by completing easier floors on The Rift, or by completing missions on Mondomesa (the missions Wayward Path and Jungle Clear can be run through very quickly by simply ignoring the monsters. Fast way to get more JJ). Also, the Mondomesa zone Underground Dungeons has a guaranteed ETC that may contain them as well (just take the left-most cave at the top of the second area, then just keep going).
I would highly recommend you not spend gold on the potions from the shop, as they are wildly expensive. If you’re having issues with managing your health between Rejuv Plants, it might be worth investing in Healbomb. Aside from some bosses and champion monster, you shouldn’t need potions for regular PvE zones.

A: To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure. I’ve heard that it is repeatable, but I’ve also heard that it has disappeared for some people after completing it. It might be bugged, or it could be false information. I’ve personally never bothered to complete it, though.
EDIT: Just realized that I had the required items to finish it, and upon doing so, it disappeared. So, in my own experience, it isn’t repeatable, but it may have been at one point.

Tips and Tricks

On the Troubled Lands mission, on the Desert map (the one with Dirge Spiders, the little skull spider things), go to the bottom part of the map, and you’ll see two plants next to each other against the edge of the island. Break them and walk off the edge. You’ll end up along an invisible walkway that leads to another small island with an Epic Treasure Chest.
To be a bit clearer: there are two maps. One is the Desert map; the other is what I call the Mudpit map (mud visible top of screen; you get constant spawns of mudballs). The Mudpit map has no epic chest AFAIK; it just has some destructible grass (at least three of which are monsters) and a chest monster.
So technically, a TL mission has only a 50% of an epic chest, and you’ll know it as soon as you see the map.
If you happen upon the Mudpit map, go kill the chest monster on the far left of the screen. It sometimes gives Power Potions or other supplies that may be useful. The advantage to leaving the map is that it has a short cooldown, so it’s not long before you can attempt again. Even with a 50% chance of getting the map you want, it’s fairly easy to farm ETCs this way.

What would you buy Rubies for?
Just so the two people above me know, that suggestion is something that has been asked for for a long time on the official forums (and was the very first suggestions when I reposted this thread there). However, the devs have assured me that if they ever did implement a visual champion indicator, it would not cost Rubies.

Arcane Rift bugged

It is obviously and unfortunately beyond my ability to reveal to you how detrimental this decision (denying non-guild members access to the Arcane Rift) is to your game. Scratch that. This single decision, while extremely relevant, is also meaningless – it is the mindset behind it that is actually damning.
I truly wish I could think of an eloquent way to describe how many ways your game has actively driven me away from becoming a recurring, active player. However, I honestly cannot even think of a place to begin, let alone how to get to an appropriate ending point while maintaining integrity along the way.
I hope someone else enters your life who can teach you these things. They will be incredibly valuable to you if you are ever able to learn from them.
In the mean time, I will engage in the absolutely absurd workaround your current game design has forced me into since, for reasons I am ashamed to admit – even to myself, the acquisition of the Kongregate badge is more important to me than the time I am wasting while I am engaged with the product you have produced.
I’m sorry…what? You talked in circles there without accomplishing anything. This is a forum, a place to share ideas and suggestions, and if you have feedback to give, just say it. If making the Guild Challenge a Guild-Only event is detrimental….wouldn’t that be counter-intuitive? I’d love for you to elaborate on the point your trying to make instead of simply being over-dramatic without actually telling me what you think.
Also, this isn’t my game (or product, as you put it), I’m just an active and long time player that cares a lot about this game, and truly wish to see it grow and be successful.

Arcane Rift bugged

To be honest, there are guilds out there designed specifically for people like you, who just join, complete the Badge, and then leave the guild. However, this system is NOT promoting what you suggest. The point of making a badge that requires you to join a guild is that we sincerely hope people will continue playing Cloudstone after all of the badges are completed. Having people join a guild creates a sense of community and obligation, which helps keep players around. As Player609 suggested, though, you could always create your own guild if you’re can’t be assed to join a Badger guild or a legitimate guild.

FAQ/AMA about Cloudstone
Originally posted by EEPiccolo:
Q: What’s a good build to get through the first 10 levels of the rift?
A: It strongly depends on what level you are, your luck with curses/blessings, and of course, which combination of bosses you encounter on Floor 10. However, here is a build that will work well for Rift.
(Also, since you are only level 18 as of this post, I’d suggest getting up to at least level 25-30 before attempting to beat Floor 10.)
The build below is for a level 30 player. Skills are listed in order of acquisition, so if you’re not level 30 yet by the time you attempt the Rift, just level the skills up in the following order.
Monk
5/5 Healbomb
5/5 Improved Healing
5/5 Power Burst
5/5 Claw Mastery
5/5 Whirlywind
1/1 Spirit Mastery
3/5 Yoga
Total points: 29
Note: Use Spirit Mastery before Whirlywind for super high damage to groups of monsters and bosses.

A: No. Allies do not reduce the amount of exp, gold, or other drops that you find. Whenever a monster dies, you get the full amount of all exp/loot, even if you’re not the one that killed it. This also applies to friendly monsters, such as the Catra and Turtloids that help you in some missions, as well as summoned allies and Snowkin Snowldier/Magus summons from the Christmas event.

What would you buy Rubies for?
Just a general question to toss out there. Since the community has grown a lot recently, I’d like to get an idea on what sorts of services the majority of players would actively WANT to spend money on.
Currently, you can spend Rubies on a variety of things, such as equipment, vigor, potions, skill point respecs, refreshing the Help Wanted quests, pets, etc. Is there anything else that would be worth putting down a few dollars (or whatever your nation’s currency is) for?
Some examples that have been suggested:
^ Vanity Items. Equipment to go over your regular gear to change how you look without effecting your stats.
^ Reduced Zone Cooldown. Spend a small amount (2-3 Rubies, for example), to refresh the cooldown on a zone after it has been completed.
^ Storing Pets In Home. The ability to spend a few rubies to store your pets in a special storage at the Home. They would be removed from the inventory (so they no longer take up capacity) and would then roam around the Home for other players to see. Would allow you to show off your pets, too.
^ Visual Champion Indicator. A small visual notice that appears briefly whenever you enter an area with Champion monsters. Currently, there is a very quiet horn that plays, but is very hard to hear sometimes. This would simplify the Champion hunting experience, and make it a bit safer for players that would rather avoid them than fight them.
I’ll post more ideas up here as they are brought up. Please, don’t be afraid to post any and all ideas! Even if something has already been suggested, let us know that you want it, too. The more support an idea has, the more likely it will happen some day.

Unless you want to win the Rift Warrior Badge
Badge is merely a perk, and should not be considered by the devs when designing content. The Rift is meant for the Guild Challenge, a Guild vs. Guild competition, so doing it without a guild would be pointless, as any points you gain wouldn’t contribute to any guild. The fact that there is a badge involved is irrelevant.
If you’re doing it just for the badge, then try to join a guild. I know it’s hard at lower levels, but guilds seem to be more willing to accept members the higher their level is, so leveling up helps. I also see plenty of new guilds every day, so there are always options. The best time to look for a guild is during the daytime hours of the USA time zones, as that is when we have the most people online (and the most guild leaders). Applying to guilds constantly as well as asking in chat if anyone is recruiting, are both good ways to expedite your acceptance.
I think the devs should consider things like this. The badges attract lots of people.
Maybe they can change the “Loading…” text to “You need to join a guild” or something like that. If i can’t go there i want to know why…
Perfectly reasonable suggestion. I’ll bring it up with them.
