Topic: Kongregate / [Cards] Letters on upper right
It just means that it’s a re-released card, to have some “Collector’s Value” on the originals.

Topic: Kongregate / [Kongai] Beta Test Out?
I thought it was easy to understand that if there would be less that 50 players, then the players would be all but 1, 2 ect. cards until it goes over the wanted number of players and then choose the testers from there. Also, Kongai is still a bad name :x :P |

Topic: Kongregate / [Kongai] Beta Test Out?
I believe that this says something about what you think of the Kong. staff. I think that you should’ve considered some things to shorten the list, like for example, only accepting those will all of the cards (including revisions, limited and “event” versions ala holidays and PAX) to properly test that all of them work properly for everybody, this alone would’ve probably reduced the number greatly and is reasonable (although it would still be possible to just give the players all of the cards, this saves some hassle). By the way, I’m curious; have all of the members who got Beta access beta tested yet? |

Topic: Kongregate / [Kongai] Beta Test Out? That’s an…”odd”, to be polite (screw it, it’s very stupid imo) way of choosing who gets to beta test. I thought points were completely worthless right now, and that that was rather known, so most people don’t really give a damn about points. Oh well, if the stupid system has a great reward, then I might as well waste my time doing something that I do not want. Just like real life work? I think not, but I digress. My guess is that the people who chose who would get to test had to be “very dedicated to Kongregate” or something and they didn’t have much time/thought to think of something better. Stop ranting Hitaro. But I know I would’ve complained even if I was chosen Hitaro. Damn, you’re getting schizophrenic, Hitaro, stop trying to make a joke every time you post. |

Topic: Kongregate / Kongai I doubt it. -The cards have different color borders, therefore they can not equip the same items -The most important aspect of the cards are the attacks, but they are hidden until the card game comes out (except for Rumiko, the very first card) -There have been many cards with the same stats before Also, I noticed that the Health/Energy meters have been mirrored… |

Topic: Kongregate / [Kongai] Card game FAQ - Please read before making a thread I really hope Bruce doesn’t turn into a bratty spammer once he’s a beta tester/the game comes out and that he’s just sucking up to the MAX :x I’m also wondering if Bruce works/has worked with Sirlin or that he’s just a fan(boy?)... But anyway, that is all off topic :P Seems interested. Maybe you should write a… uh… “simpler” version of rules for the game, or a general resumé of it for users who are too lazy to read the “oh so menacing” rules page? And you should also link to a list of total cards or something for the curious new users, some user’s card list that has all the cards for example. |

Topic: Kongregate / Can there be new types of badges, or more cards? The cards are released weekly, every card is supposed to be equal (card X will not be ultimately better than card Y), so there’s no need to “make it harder to get it”, and when the card game will be (eventually) released, there will be a way for players to get cards of past weeks. Does this answer? Though I do want to ask what this has to do with badges, since you don’t mention them in your post. |

Topic: Kongregate / Kongai There’s a question I’ve wanted to ask for a while; when beta testing for a game, would the developers rather you play normally, or would they rather want some, if not, all testers to go out of their way to find glitches or exploits in the game? |

Aren’t those part of the job of a community manager? I thought those came naturally. It seems as if you think I think your job is simply “managing the community”, e.g. keeping the forums from turning to flame-fests. I should stop thinking about what other people think I think of them…
That doesn’t even make any sense. It’s more like you’re trying to make up a random definition to support the name. I’m honestly wondering if you’re serious or are making some lame joke (imo, of course there will be some people that will think it is funny). Also, I want to emphasize this, since it’s been ignored. Why? I honestly have no clue. Closest is “it’s been popular at the beginning of the last thread”, but that’s not a valid reason.
I may be going at a tangent (if I do, please tell me), but I believe one of the reasons why it was popular in the last thread was because it “sounded Asian”. Not only is that a bad reason to use the name (whether the name is good or not), but if somebody wants to imitate some other language by saying random words that may “sound like it”, you are going to get laughed at, especially when it’s made public that what you are saying is nonsense. Who cares if 99.99% of the community doesn’t know it, if there’s one single person that knows and realizes it, whatever you are doing will be considered a mockery. I personally think that no matter how you pronounce it, it sounds bad. Of course, there is the question of replacing the name. Naturally, it will be hard to name something new (How the hell did they find “Kleenex” for tissue paper?), but letting the forums decide is rather iffy. I’d rather opp to keep “Kongregate Card Game” until a better name is decided. There might be a contest at some point to create a name, filtered so no obviously bad or vulgar \cough/ names are possible. Maybe the Kong staff should hire an etymologist to figure out what name would best suit the card game. I’d volunteer to take some time off from doing what I want to trying to find a proper name if people want me to (heck, I will now, with honest serious thought and time, since I do not want to get stuck with Kongai). Or should we move this to another thread? The thread is discussing about the card game, and this thread shows that the name is “official” now. So I’ll discuss this here until further notice (mod response) |

Actually, we could just ask who the programmers are. All I know is that David Sirlin is designing the game, and that Udon is providing the art. |

Okay, let me rephrase that so you won’t misunderstand again (I hope). Why not get rid of the silly concept of giving people rewards just because they have a lot of free time?

Hell no, that would be a horrible idea. Not to mention that there are no “powerehouses” or “card x is in every way better than card y” (or that seems to be the plan, at least) |
