This game is turning into a valve game…
The game doesn’t became P2P, just more grindy that usual.
Patchs with just boxes aren’t real updates, so… its abandonware.

Well the game is much worse than it used to be, so the people who played it when it was a good game don’t care for it anymore.
Some context, I have played well over 2000 hours of Spiral Knights and I started playing before the steam release. When I started playing there were only 2 bosses instead of the 4/8/11/(more?) (depending on how you count them) that there are today, and I want to say that I really love all the bosses it is the best part of the game. Other than the bosses nearly every change has made the game easier or worse.
As much as I dislike them making the game too easy, that isn’t a real issue here. The real issue with the game was when they removed game-play mechanics as an incentive to get you to spend money. I’m talking about the revival mechanic. You used to be bale to donate half of your health to revive someone, now if your party members go down they are more likely to leave the mission then to get up again because it simply isn’t worth it, and because monsters spawn with more health if your have more members in the party you are better off playing solo then in a group.
I have a lot more I could rant about like the mission system, the new guns, the pet system, weakening the enemies, and so on, but all of that really sums to making the game easier. the game is extraordinarily easy now compared to what it was so that you can do everything solo, what kind of MMO lasts when it is really a solo game with a trading system.
Damn. I liked the old revival system. And the shared loot (Giving pills to teammates). At least the game removed the mist thing (that’s really P2P).
