Well it seems that it might have indeed been someone else higher than 81 in the fight, which sucks since the instructions read as it is a personal requirement not anyone fighting the boss. If this is going to be the case why let anyone outside the range even join the fight? I mean 1 person could wreck the reward for many people for a whole week! VERY POOR design.

On a different subject…
Another bug that has annoyed me for a while. Several weeks ago I made a Bounty Card II transmute, before I properly read the text, thinking it was a step up in chance to get better quests. Jokes on me right? Well the annoying part is there is no way to use the item, AND no way to sell it! It just takes up a permanent slot in my already full inventory.

We just fought a lv 50 alliance boss, I am lv 79 which is within the 30 level range. I got 0 xp and 0 reward, others that fought got no reward either. Not everyone that fought mentioned if they got a reward but as far as we can tell no one was given anything or got any XP.

This is a little project of mine I've been working on for a while. There are 2 versions to download and 3 major sheets to view. Sheet 1: Attack Calculator ---------------------------------- This sheet allows you to choose a quantity, unit, upgrade lv, range, buffs, and gear for both the attacker and defender. And it will accurately determine the damage range for both normal and critical hits, as well as how many were killed, assuming full life for the top of the stack. This is nice for determining if an attack of defence buff is worth it. In the 2nd version of of the download does some cool stuff (I'll get in to why 2 versions later). In this version the sheet also does a behind the scenes probability distribution for possible damage rolls on each unit, along with the crit rolls. Then it displays the probability that you will kill X amount of units. For example if you might kill 22-26 units on an attack, you will be able to see the chances of you killing 22,23,24,25, or all 26 units. Sheet 2: Farming ---------------------------------- This is an info sheet that goes farther than the wiki pages I've seen. This not only has the current unit/spell purchases available at each location, and each quest along with rewards, but it also has a list of every normal,daily,and wanted battle along with rewards and every enemy unit that has a chance to show up. If you see a battle and the unit you want to kill is not there but is in my list, then just revisit the location or refresh the page until the battle has that unit. Also, there is a searching feature that allows you to choose from a drop down menu of items, units, and magic. Then highlights where they appear. Also, when choosing crafting materials from the items list, it tells you what drops that item. Sheet 3: Equipment ---------------------------------- This sheet is just for use in the calculations that the attack calculator does, but I left it unhidden because it might be nice to choose a unit on the main page, then go here to see what bonuses each piece of equipment give to that unit, for comparison purposes. The download: ---------------------------------- The folder with the versions are on a shared Google drive folder here. https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B6gFQwBayD6mNEhwSXMycmRtU0E/edit The preview google attempts with google docs is not very good so best to download and use Excel 2010, I have not tested with other versions of Excel. The 1st version without the extra feature on the damage calculator is KBL.xlsx The 2nd version requires you also download the files in the XNumbers Folder. Keep them together but put them anywhere you like. Then download the 2nd version KBL+.xlsx When you get the security warning click enable content. Then you might get a message saying "This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated." CHOOSE "Edit Links" Then select the XN.xlam file and click "Change Source..." Browse to the XN.xlam file that you downloaded from the XNumbers folder and click OK. Excel will think for a bit then your ready to use it. WARNING!!! When using the 2nd version don't try to use any large stacks, because the probability distribution takes exponentially longer. While a stack of 100 might take 30 seconds to a minute. A stack of 500 pilgrims was only at 18% calculated after waiting 20 minutes. If you accidentally enter a large stack and it is thinking forever, wait until one of the periods that it does not say (Not Responding) then quickly press ctrl + shift + break. Warning 2 !!! I'm in a hurry and didn't read over this post. This whole thing might sound line complete gibberish and be filled with spelling and grammar errors and I wouldn't know. I'll be happy to answer any questions though.

And just for the hell of it, with crits added in at the base 12% critical rate the % on number killed is
2 – 1.744
3 – 86.256
4 – 12

That is assuming the critical roll is a single roll for the whole stack, if not the math on the distribution really gets insane.

Well I finally finished my perfect probability distribution for damage on my spreadsheet (to be release this weekend). Its not as easy as originally thought since the damage is rolled individually for each unit in the stack. Anyway under those conditions 11 Champions will kill 3 Polar Bears 98.019% of the time, and 2 Polar Bears 1.981% of the time.

Actually it works perfect in my tests, maybe you were using it incorrectly, see SS links.

I do need to thank you though for making me go double check it, in my rearranging I had looked up the defence of the defender based on the attackers level instead of the defenders, so it was a bit off when not level 0.

Using the formula located http://www.kongregate.com/forums/139-kings-bounty-legions/topics/265281-how-to-calculate-damage that is the correct answer.

I actually put together a cool excel sheet that lets you choose number of attackers and defenders of any unit matchup of any upgrade level, assign any attribute buffs you like, pick a range, and it will accurately tell you the damage range, how many were killed along with additional damage to next in stack, the crit damage/killed, and even break down the probability for each possible damage value.

I’m still adjusting the look of it, and I still need the upgrade bonuses for each level for 7 units that I don’t have. I also still plan on adding a gear selection to account for gear bonuses automatically. I haven’t decided if I want to take the time for the non-standard attacks. I’ll release it once complete.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [UberStrike] You were disconnected!

I can play sometimes but lately either I get in and people are always lagged, some dont move at all, others stuck in the floor, others kill me when they are totally invisible on my screen and shooting from no where… OR I get a “You were disconnected! Please restart UberStrike to log in again” message constantly and have to wait several hours before it works again.
