Why is violence okay, but sex isn't?
It’s actually illegal to publish sexual content to the public. It has to be restricted in some way so only adults can view it.
As for society and violence, that’s just a huge mess that no one even dares to touch.
Here’s a fact for you: Infinity Ward purposely ignored all underage gamers on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and provides no way to report, kick or ban any player who is obviously below the age of 17.
Why? Because that’s where their money comes from: young kids begging their moms/dads to buy a copy of MW2 because “everyone else is playing it”.
Violence is the latest fashion now, and it applies to just about anybody who is old enough to play xbox. Yes, it’s a sickening thought, but it’s true. Why are there so many cases of bullying, and to such extent that many go crazy and start a shoot-out at school? Because they are pushed to the edge by stress and violence, since bullying is fun (and “popular”) for everyone except the victim, and usually no one cares for the victim until they fight violence with more violence.
In short: society is a mess nowadays. It’s not really “what’s wrong with it”, it’s more of “let’s nuke every city and revive humanity”.
