Topic: Clicker Heroes / Progression early on

I’m by no means an expert, but trying to go from frostleaf to dread knight seems more that a little crazy to me. Around the time you get access to frostleaf is around the time it starts making sense to go back and really put a bunch of levels into the early heroes. The heroes that get three 100% and a 150% damage boost seem to be the best heroes to invest coins into. Hopefully somebody who has done more number crunching than I have will be able to give better advice than that, but that’s what made the most of my money as far as I could see.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Kingdoms CCG] Bug Reports

After the update I was registered as having logged in 20+ times this month already. This is a bit of a pain seeing as I didn’t actually receive either of the rewards, and as far as it was indicated, it’ll be another month before I’ll actually get another shot at the monthly rewards.

regarding torment. Try reading Prince Felendis’ text next time you’re in the brawl. That might clear up that ‘bug’ if nothing else.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Lost MB rewards. Maybe

Thinking back I remember last week in the colosseum I played an undead dragon that displaced my opponent’s dido, and then he was complaining that dido didn’t keep him alive until his next turn when I killed him. I didn’t actually check to see if he had a dido buff or not, but it could be possible that dido is (sometimes?) adding a nonfunction copy of its buff when it get’s displaced.

Concerning Atomslaya’s comment: I had around 20 cards left in my deck, and Ingrid had about the same. I could have been more specific I suppose. I was killed by backlash damage from an acid flask. Are there really people with inferno who don’t know how dido is supposed to work?

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Lost MB rewards. Maybe

I was in the middle of filling out a bug report after the last mega brawl I was in ended when I got kicked from the server. When I refreshed the game there wasn’t the normal loot popup. I must confess that I wasn’t actually paying much attention to my point total, so I’m not even 100% sure that I missed out on anything.

The bug I was reporting was that I died after using inferno when according to the game I had a buff from dido depleting. I’m not sure if it was a bug with dido, or if dido was displaced by a ravenous zombie and it was a bug with displaced cards showing buffs that aren’t actually there.

I’m actually more interested in reporting the bug than the possible lost rewards, but if it’s possible to check it would be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / erreka sak

I’m not quite sure why it was necessary to quote me for that comment, but as a counter to it I’ll say that I’ve been doing at least 1 Cicero brawl a day(with much more than that on average) for over 100 levels and have managed to craft one SS. I’ve seen more than one brawl where a person running a GMT dido nuke deck got their dido banished and left me alone to deal with ES, and if ES banishes against a bernie + NotG deck it becomes equally useless. That’s why I said earlier that the fight was luck based. Pretty much everything about this game is based on luck. I’m sure that there are people who have gotten two harls before doing a single NM run of z4. That doesn’t change the fact that people have been farmed 20+ NM runs and gotten none. It’s all luck based.

I’d like to point out that I said that only paying players would likely have a deck that could beat ES when they first reached him. I cleared through NM of the first 3 zones before I went to the next zone, and still wasn’t high enough level to fight ES when I beat normal z5 for the first time. My guess based on that information is that only people who spent lots of time farming z4 before moving on to z5 would be high enough level to fight ES when they first get there. Additionally, if they were farming z4, they probably weren’t trying to farm sympathetic slaughter.

Also, regarding ToA and lamp… last I checked the cards both say ‘when you play a threat’ which means that any of them procing can chain to additional procs. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that there’s a chance that ToA can proc twice on a single turn for a person, although I suppose this might have been a bug that was fixed.

Anywho… I originally posted in an attempt to help EBS13 put together a deck that could beat ES. My next comment was to clarify that no BB + HB deck has anywhere near a 65% win rate, and my purpose behind that was so that people who lost 3+ times in a row using a deck they’d been told had around a 65% win rate didn’t wind up thinking they were getting really unlucky. I think I’ll probably take my leave of this thread as I’m sure EBS13 has more than enough information to build a deck that can kill ES in a couple of tries. Again, good luck with your endeavor to topple ES.

Just to keep from getting anybody’s hopes up I feel like I need to point out that r2d2go’s statistics about the deck he suggested aren’t even close to accurate. It doesn’t even come close to a 65% win rate. I’ve used sympathetic slaughter and not had the quest ES kill himself in 1 shot more that once. That means that you’ll need at least two turns where you can play blood bond to actually kill him. (he’s not going to hit for more than about 35 damage, and has about 50 cards in his deck with some GHP and NoTG.) That gives him a minimum of two turns to play his namesake, which will either force you to lose, or to draw two cards on your next turn. Every turn except the first turn on games where you go first will also have a chance that you will draw a healing potion instead of a blood bond or alchemist, and if that happens you could quickly end up breaking your cycle by drawing all your potions.

The two blood bond with one to two heartbreaker cycle is the most reliable deck lower level players have against ES, but that fight is entirely luck based with the chances skewed strongly in his favor. I’d be surprised if any deck besides Bernie + Goblin Ambusher cycles and GMT + Dido nuke decks had over a 50% chance of winning against the fight just because he can pretty much deplete any size deck in one turn.

ES is an optional boss for a reason. I doubt anybody except perhaps the biggest spenders could hill him when they first reached him. There are a few different decks that I’ve seen win reliably against ES before.
the one I see most frequently is a cycle deck using heartbreaker and blood bond or sympathetic slaughter.
the other deck types I see win both require some premium or hard to get cards. One is a cycle deck using Bernard (a card you can eventually craft from drafting rewards) and/or Nectar of the Gods. Another common deck is one that uses the potion Ghost Master’s Tonic (an epic rarity card available from advanced packs and drafting), alchemists , and Dido(a crafted legendary rarity NPC)to build up a large amount of bonus damage and kill ES in a single hit after he depletes your deck. The last deck type that I’ve heard of being used against him is called a Torlock or torment lock deck. They use a drop from the ES brawl though, so I won’t go into much detail on those. here a link to a thread on the official forums that seems to have some suggestions that you could try.

I hope this helps. If you can’t or won’t make a cycle, and don’t have any copies of Ghost Master’s Tonic you’ll probably have to put off killing ES for a while though. Good luck either way.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Legacy of Heroes] Are starter packs a permanent change?

I can confirm NeoAlpha’s claim. I was around when Kalevra stated that the starter pack will be available until you purchase it. There’s no need to panic and use busts to scrape together enough LC to buy it before the week ends.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / [bug] previctory disconnect issue

For the last couple weeks I’ve been having the same situation arise. I will be fighting a quest node battle, and as the enemy is about to die from damage counters, reflected damage from BB or SS, or just after I’ve played a card that should do enough damage to finish them off I get kicked from the game. It has happened enough times that I would find it extremely unlikely that the timing is a coincidence. Although the loss of progress because of the disconnect is an issue all on its own, my main issue is that with only one or two exceptions I haven’t gotten any energy or gold from the fight.

It can be quite a blow to lose energy in this fashion, so if somebody could look into what’s causing this it would be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Brawl boss select bug

hmm. I guess my original post was a tad vague. I’m referring to the button at the bottom of the screen while you’re in brawl screen that lets you filter between seeing every boss or a specific boss when you refresh the screen. The popup list used to be ordered by zone and I’m pretty sure was exactly the same order as they start a brawl list was. Now the names on the list are organised alphabetically, but I think the actual filter wasn’t changed. For example, the top besides any boss is now axe master, but when I select axe master I actually filter out all the brawls except for beast champ. Baron is just below axe master on the list, but it’s actually only showing beastman chieftain brawls when I select it.

I’ve had the same problem on two different computers, each running a different browser. As such, it’s either a problem with my account, or a bug. I just don’t know how nobody else could have noticed this besides me, but at the same time I have my doubts that it could be something wrong with my account.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Brawl boss select bug

Is it just me, or is the boss selection tab for brawls completely messed up. Most of the brawls are pretty uncommon, but most of the ones I managed to check didn’t actually link to the brawl they were supposed to. For instance, selecting cicero linked to corrupted wizard and chieftain was actually brimstone baron.
If somebody could confirm that there’s a problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Flask of Weakening Bug?

Welp, you’ve convinced me. Flask of weakening is bugged. setting everybody’s attributes to 1 is clearly not the intended effect of the card. Great jorb.
I’m going to head over to the CotD forums and report FoW along with hard to kill because, as it turns out, it doesn’t necessarily make you harder to kill. Just the other day I played hard to kill and the next turn an oroc shaman played spirits of justice and killed me. As you can see, hard to kill isn’t working as intended. Actually, now that I think about it, I’ll need to report that SoJ is bugged too. After all, I’m playing a hero, so it makes no sense that SoJ would do any damage to me. I’m not the bad guy, that oroc was clearly the party on the wrong side of justice.
Again, good work winning the argument utilizing sound reasoning. Hope that gives your e-wang enough of a boost to get to the next size increment.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Flask of Weakening Bug?

Just a poor decision in regards to its name. I’m not upset that the card ‘immovable object’ move around like all the other cards, nor do I think that ‘the best at what I do’ should be renamed because it is only somewhat useful. As I said before… It’s not a good card. Most cards aren’t. I can understand wanting a card to do what it sounds like it should, but if they wanted it to actually weaken everybody they could have just set up an effect like soul spear’s instead of what they did. In hindsight, the person who designed it might admit that it isn’t a good name. In fact, if you’re really that unhappy with the card, you should go to the suggestions thread and suggest a better deplete effect.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Flask of Weakening Bug?

I have to agree with the other posters. The potion is working as intended. Just because it’s mostly useless doesn’t mean it’s a bug. Look at Brough’s Jest. The good news is that I recall reading something on the official forums about the devs wanting to rework earlier zones so that attributes were more common. Even if this did happen flask of weakening would still probably be more harmful to you than your opponent. The simple solution is to just remove the card from your deck and toss it in the pile with all the other cards that actually weaken your deck with their presence.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Cycle with Infernal Smelling Salts

alch is a human NPC, so it would heal him back, if you put any other NPCs in your deck you’d want to make sure they weren’t humans or the cycle would become highly unstable. The cycle would be pretty unstable anyway I’d think, as it would be pretty easy to get in a situation where the only cards you could draw would be alchemists and smelling salts.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / rare pack vs gold pack

Yes it’s possible to get more than one rare from a rare pack. Yes you can get craft mats. I got a goblet from the one I purchased. I don’t know the answers to your other questions. You might want to look around the official CotD forums to see what people have to say about rare packs, as they tend to have more people who have researched information than the kong forums. As for my money, I think I’m going to stick with gold packs, as that was my plan when I started saving up my money.

Topic: Crystal Saga / What is the best way to train?

Hmm. I actually read a post that states that the best XP return is for mobs 3 levels higher than you. I’ve honestly not payed too much attention though. As FransiscoM25 said though, you’ll need to be more specific about what you want to know if you really want to get help. My best suggestion is to check out the R2 Games forum as it’s got way more information than the Kong one.
