Thanks for the info I checked all accounts and pvp logs but it seems to be the other way around. Some players (about 50) have more badges than fights they have actually won although the deviations are not drastic (most of the time <5 and only a handful < 50), but I couldn’t find the reason yet as i couldn’t reproduce it. Anyway hard to understand how this can happen as the code for adding badges and updating the wins is in the same method. As I could see in the logs that the problem existed before the PvP cross server change it could also be that the problem is already fixed now as the PvP code had to be completely rewritten for cross server PvP. Anyway i will continue to monitor the logs.

If this happens again to you and you notice you get more or less badges than wins and you have more information when this happened i would be thankful!
(e.g. if you make the last turn and win or your opponent makes the last turn and you win, if your opponent leaves the game or surrenders etc.)

Sorry, i couldn’t reproduce that myself. The ping pong effect is correct if one phoenix is killed and returns (tenacity) and kills the other phoenix with its on leaving play effect who fires back and comes back again eventually and so on. But for me the fireball damage on leaving play is dealt to all creatures. If you have more information how to exactly reproduce your problem just let me know.

We have added more logging to find out what is going on and have deployed a new version appx. 2 1/2 hours ago with a change that will hopefully solve the problem. So far the logs of the most active players look good and no elo drops are visible for them.

Nevertheless if anybody still encounters that problem please let us know.

@Garryl: yes i also think it is just a display problem, but the fight is definitely calculated correctly. Unfortunately I couldn’t open your screenshots (image cannot be displayed because of errors).

That has more priority as we also have players on the other servers that sometimes get this problem. We have just uploaded a new version with two bugfixes:

- Sometimes creatures stayed in the game with 0 health. That was a display bug when a creature reflected on leaving play damage (e.g. Oblivion queen vs. Firestorm Phoenix)in
- Supply Ability ended in a client exception when the item put from deck into play went to the item stash.

The second problem could also be a reason for the 2 card problem but we are not sure yet, so if it happens again please let us know. Thanks in advance!

@LemonBot: Hmm, normally the health should be subtracted again if the armour is destroyed (though never below 1, so you cannot die by shatter). I will crosscheck it again tomorrow.

@Garryl: Just made 20 auto play / skip fights with your account against Zombie Samurai III on my local machine and didn’t lose a single one (good deck btw ;-) so i cannot reproduce the problem sorry.

@Laconfire: yes, it is exactly as you wrote below 2. So in fact you only have an advantage from the battle chargers on leaving game stun effect if the stunned creatures did not attack already. As the targets are chosen randomly it can be lame if you are unlucky or e.g. if the last attacking creature of your opponent killed your mount.
We would have to change the whole stun mechanism so that at least creatures that already attacked are also stunned in the next round of the opponent, but that is more complicated than you might think. Nevertheless we will keep that in mind as a possible improvement for the future as it would also make effects like ‘stun on being attacked’ possible. But i cannot give you an ETA for that as guilds and a guild feature have the highest priority at the moment and that implementation alone will take some weeks.

@Garryl: yes the AI is dumb and cannot be improved a lot as the whole fight is computed on the server and a better AI would definitely hurt the scaling of the game. Will put it on the list of possible improvements though and see if it can be implemented.

@SilentXSerene: i wrote a testcase but for me a 1/4 duelist with one chain attack against a 3/6 blackbelt ends in 1/4 for teh duelist and 3/4 for the Ninja as the events occur in the following order
base attack
leach
backlash
base attack
leach
backlash

so i cannot reproduce it sorry :-(

@Crimson2006: Regarding Stun and Evade: It is like Garryl said: When a stun effect triggers, it displays the chains over the targeted card’s location for ~1 sec, which normally transitions seamlessly into the chains over a stunned card. With Evade, though, the card doesn’t get stunned, but the chains from the stun animation are still there for a second.

Hmm,I tested it and when my mount had 1 health left and the Vampire lord 7 health and two damage incoming the mount was destroyed and the lord had 6 health afterwards, so i couldn’t reproduce that or did you mean something else?

That is on purpose so you can never reduce a creature’s health below 1 by equipping a weapon. So creatures with one health do not get the negative health effect of the Vanquisher.

@AlexNk: Hmm, i never had that problem myself but if you get more information how to reproduce it i would be glad :-)

@Escaflownecz: Most probably the same problem Crimson2006 described. I guess the stun was in fact evaded (can be seen by the evade animation) but even if evaded the stun chains will show up for a second so maybe you got the impression the creature was stunned.

That is correct and intended as otherwise it would be to overpowered (e.g. 4 backlash damage with equipped weapon possible etc.)

@gewooniemand: Hmm, i will check if animations on the opponents item stack are possible with our 3D programmer. But it will have to wait until next year as our office is closed next week until 6th of January :-)

@ombrephenix: I checked but the loot rates for all christmas III quests are all the same and were not changed since start so it is the (damn ;-)) RNG, sorry. The loot chances are set by the game designer, but keep in mind that they are designed so that some things will take longer to obtain as the event lasts until 6th of January.

@SilentXSerene: Yes, maybe the spelling for the buffs like cruelty must be corrected so it is more clear what they do. I will discuss it with the game designer next year :-). Regarding soul corruptor I checked the loot tables again but everything is correct and i tested it also myself but i got the correct loot so i cannot reproduce that, sorry. The loot chances were designed for a 3 week lasting event so depending on your RNG luck i understand it can be frustrating sometimes. Hope you have better luck soon!

@All: Our office will be closed until 6th of January now, so i wish everybody a happy new year already! Nevertheless please post all bug reports here i will check them when we return to office next year.

@Muwhaha: I copied your account data and made some plays with your Test2 deck against Krampus III but was not able to reproduce it, sorry. For me my weapons were only destroyed if Krampus had a Stonebreaker weapin in play. If it happens again for you I would be glad if you could provide additional information (e.g. what cards Krampus III had in play). Thanks in advance!

@Whiplashx: Thanks, i know the random number generator can sometimes be mean so weird things like 7 loot items / 10 quests can happen as well as 0 / 30 with the same loot chance. Nevertheless if it happens again i would be glad if you make a screenshot :-)

@SilentXSerene: Cruelty buffs the base attack damage and physical ability damage of undead creatures so that is working as intended. The increased numbers are not shown as increased rage though, also because some of these buff damage abilities can have target groups (e.g. increases physical damage against lycanthrope creatures) and then an increased rage counter would have to alternate depending on the target creature type. The cruelty buff should be animated though so you see if it has activated and the overall calculated damage should take both weaken and cruelty effects into account. Hope that helps :-)

@Wizard996: A random card will only be played automatically for 3 times now (a change a few days ago) and of course it is possible that your opponent just leaves the game (opens a different page in his browser) thus playing no card, so that is neither a bug nor an issue on your end :-)

@Whiplashx: I checked the database config but it is configured that
Spirit of redemption 3 has Soul Devourer as loot
and
Spirit of temptation 3 has Soul Corruptor as loot

so i couldn’t find a problem there. Are you sure you received the soul devourers from Spirit of temptation III or did anybody else get soul devourers from Spirit of temptation III?

@Muwhaha: There is a Stonebreaker weapon in the Krampus III deck. Most probably an opponent creature was equipped with that and shattered your weapons/armours.

@karltan72: Hmm, i have been monitoring the PvP fights for some time now but there are no aborted games at all at the moment and the average response time of our servers is also good so it is no general problem. I fear you may have connection problems so maybe there are problems at the moment on the route from your computer to our servers in Germany (e.g. some gateway makes problems), but that is not in our hands, sorry :-(.

@Escaflownecz: Hmm, i just tried myself (also copied your account data to my machine), but for me the Vampire lord Sid shows up correctly as 1/1 after clearing your active Lycan deck, so i couldn’t reproduce that sorry. Nevertheless I noticed that you have two decks named Lycan Deck (the second one is empty). Could it be that you looked at your empty ‘Lycan deck’ because then the 0/1 is correct for your vampire lord as you already have used in in your first Lycan deck?

@091836 + Xunick: Faction rewards have always only been unlocked at the shop so there were no changes there and everything is correct.

@Escaflownecz: Sorry, i don’t know if i understand the problem correctly. If you mean you need a second vampire lord before you can build 2 decks which you can switch by just changing the active deck that is correct and no bug. You can get another vampire lord from the light booster (small chance for a rare) or now from the normal booster for pearls (always contains a rare). If you haven’t spent your diamonds yet you can also monitor the single booster cards and wait for a vampire there. Note that there is also a vampire in the faction rewards of the grails watchers now (‘Isa Prevenza’). If you mean something totally different just let me know :-)

Topic: Nightbanes / [DEV] 17.12: Small change for PvP and two bugfixes

Small change for PvP:

The auto timer (after 20 seconds) will only pick a card for you 3 times in a row. After that if you do not actively play a card you will automatically surrender.
If you play a card actively the counter will reset, so if you are disturbed for a short time during playing (phone call, etc.) and come back to the PC you can continue, but you cannot play a whole game without interaction anymore then which is very annoying for the opponent.

Two bugfixes:

- After reaching a new PvP reward rating sometimes rewards of season 2 were already shown
- Weapons/Armours with damage preventing abilities: Abilities were still active in the round though the weapon/armour was destroyed.

Both bugs should be fixed now.

@Badbentham: Thanks, the first is indeed a bug (same problem as reported by Crimson2006) and will be fixed later today. The second one is intended as Backlash will trigger on being attacked so what you describe is possible and intended.
