I’ve gotta disagree, from a multiplayer standpoint at least. You’d be amazed how dedicated some Halo 2 players are, for one since the original Xbox live was taken down XBC (Xbox Connect) has started to be used again, mind you XBC was what people used before live and by today’s standards is primitive. Plus story mode kicks ass, I’d love to learn more about the universe.

1) Burning tower + Catapults – after my initial towers near the gems, I put a temple on the two high grounds near the entrances and cleared out two forests right next to the entrances (on the edge of the map) for orcish dens. Temple got upgrades to the area damage one and the dens got upgraded to the exploding/catapult one. By the time the ninja appeared all were upgraded to the max – temple with 4 seconds of daze (slowed the guy), dens were throwing 3 exploding balls at once. When the ninja appeared the exploding balls and temple dealt him about 700 damage off the bat which meant my 5 fully upgraded meteors took care of the rest. Please note that the dens don’t always hit with the exploders, so this may take a couple tries to get. If they don’t hit, you can build 5 temples in the area just to the right of the gems to get +100 mana for another meteor, but you have to do this fast (and I was having little success doing it so fast).
Needs: Fully upgraded meteor (mana and damage), fully upgraded demon lord and warchief helps a lot in getting your towers upgraded, potentially Adoration for the mana gain.
2) Crypts: Get the crypt upgrade line to the end and max out the freeze ability. Put crypts on the high grounds near the two entrances. Hope that your crypts manage to freeze the ninja dude. If they do, you’ll get 4-5 hits out of them before he unfreezes and cloaks – those hits plus the meteors will take him out (or at least the freeze may give you enough time to build those temples and cast another meteor). This one relies on luck and will likely mean you run through the level a couple times before it works like you want it to. I did get it to work, though. Putting dens on the grass near the entrance help with the damage when frozen as well, though you’ll need them to be the exploding/catapult kind, otherwise their arrow will hit before the crypt shot can and the ninja will cloak too early. You can also up the fright factor on the crypts and hope the ninja gets frightened (max chance at 75%), but I found that he doesn’t run away for long enough and since he’s not slowed, getting the temples placed quickly enough for the mana boost for meteor #6 is difficult.
Needs: Fully upgraded meteor (mana and damage), fully upgraded lich king helps a lot in getting your towers upgraded, potentially Adoration for the mana gain.

I have the same problem. The ninja has 2500 health so after I use meteor 5 times he’s still alive and grabs a gem before his stealth wears off. I can’t figure out how to beat it. Could somehow who has gotten that badge give some advice? I have all the necessary upgrades and such. I’ve tried putting green towers near the beginning with high crit hit rate to take off a chunk of his life but that isn’t working as my red tower always hits him first and he goes stealth. I don’t want to switch out the red towers on those high ground spots near the entrances because then I think it would be very hard to beat the other ninja waves in the level. Advice?

All those tower defense games are great, yes, but they’re old and we’ve played the shit out of them. This one is not necessarily better but it’s one of those games that’s challenging but not too hard.
