Topic: Shadowland Online / IMPORTAND SIGNED SLO PLAYERS

I for one will be hoping that this game is still online and running for the rest of this year, despite bugs and problems, because I would loose contact on a permanent basis with players I’ve played this game with. :( So I’m hoping for the best, what made this game great, in my opinion, has been the players I’ve played this game together with, the game itself isn’t that interesting or exciting, to me.

Topic: Card Monsters / Fate of CM?

Unfortunately even good games has a tendency to just fade away. I’ve seen at least 2 good game titles from Kongregate that got dismissed: Backyard Monsters and Clash Rise of Heroes. I expect this game to go bye bye as well one day, but I think if there was a petition against that, then it might not be so. Too soon to tell, I guess.

Topic: Card Monsters / Help with Umbral Vortex

Same here, glad to see you back again Kholdy. I got the same problem myself with War wraith and was dissapointed, but as time has moved on I think it was an OK change, even though it was better before and I still believe that. I’m using Hydra in the middle, ninjedi level 5 with excalibur at the left and at the right side I’m using Granger with Emmets Suit (3cc). Granger has also been changed from HP 50 to level 70 so more useful for UV then before, the change in HP might have changed it’s CC to 3 from 2, but I’m not sure on that, Tsizt, do you know if they did that?

Topic: Card Monsters / Fate of CM?

The best Card Monsters ever made would be done by the community itself instead of a company, but programming and making all the artwork isn’t easily done, but if there’s enough interest, it, can be done. Maybe one day?

I will continue to play CM as long as is possible, though. There’s so many things with CM which needs to be redone in order for it to actually be the game it should be. Blizzard created Heartstone, but I experience it as a lot worse than this game, can’t really stand it despite it’s better graphics and all it’s effects.. Hmm..

Topic: Shadowland Online / News: SLO Server Maintenance Announcement on Apr. 3rd, 2014

Hmm… as long as there are players playing this game, the game can never be dead, but I see your point there. Why not come with suggestions on how the game can be improved instead of nagging? curious I’m a software developer myself, but I earn nothing from the software I write and I’m not even good at either (not yet any way) but I can say that as much as we all want the game to get better, this isn’t helping.

I believe that most offers they come up with can simply be ignored, as I do myself. They will not earn any money if they realise and understand that nobody is interested. Over the time I have played this game I have never experienced it to be a “stunning game experience”, I would suggest they need to change their manager or step down a bit closer to the reality of how real players experience this game, but I understand it’s just PR BS. :-] Any way, I enjoy this game to some extent, but let’s not exaggerate.

Topic: Card Monsters / vote vote vote!!!

1 – 16: No changes to be made to present cards, just let them be the way they are for now and set focus for more important changes which would make the game more exciting than it is today, such as why not add a few new abilities? This was a very long time ago that was made.

So my main motivation for being against changing the cards is because as they changes values, it affects all players negatively who has spent any real money on this game (and that even includes myself). Some small changes can be made from time to time and last time Edgebee also showed that by not including all proposed changes which had been suggested from the community. Change focus to more important things and set some light on some of the bugs which has existed ever since the previous expansion was released.

In my opinion, this is not the way to go, but I’m sure I belong to a minority thinking that way. ;-) I like this game, although it needs lots of improvements and this isn’t doing it.

Topic: Card Monsters / New expansion pack this year?

I’m just wondering… Will there be a new expansion pack released this year?

In my opinion, all fixation about changing existing cards back and forth is risking destroying this game, and I don’t like it. I won’t win any popularity contest by writing that, but that’s my opinion. Small changes is OK, and so far it hasn’t been too bad, but when is a new expansion pack coming, because I’m thinking that as long this community is fixated about balancing everything, new content won’t get prioritized or added to this game.

There are also some new bugs which was introduced with expansion 4 and they haven’t been resolved, such as one of them, when you have upgraded a card, you haveto switch back and forth to see that the card has really changed. Should be easy to fix and wouldn’t require any advanced programming, purely a lack of interest for fixing bugs from Edgebee, although I do give them credit for sometimes listening to the community…

Topic: Card Monsters / Card Changes Vote - Final Round - Closed!

No to all changes.

Reason: Keep things as they are and let the developers work on more important changes instead, such as making the game more exciting for new players and fix old bugs which has remained for at least 6 months. This will just make more delays for new updates including any new card boosters.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [WarFlow] State of Game January 2014

I would suggest to reduce the size of the icons at the right top corner (such as Trigrams, CheckIn, Rank etc etc..) because they are starting to clutter up the display, and honestly, it doesn’t look pretty. So either reduce the size for the icons, or place them inside a menu system or something.

Topic: Shadowland Online / Why This Game is DEAD

In my opinion, if the developers ever get tired of making bug fixes on this game and or continue to improve on this game, I would hope they could release the source code to the public. That way, this game can have as many developers as we want, but it would not create any guarantees for success in trying to make the game better.

I never spend any real money on this game (although I have) at the present, because from what I have seen so far hasn’t impressed me enough to do so. As long as there are players playing this game, the game will never be dead, but as from you have written, I too would agree that this game is dying in the sense that the lack of developers and with all the complaints ZQ are getting, if I were sitting there as a developer I am not sure if I would feel motivated enough to fix the bugs… Besides that I still believe that this is a good game, but it is not worth my money, it is simply not good enough and I’m surprised that there are those that things otherwise, I’m not really sure what has impressed them, but is important to try and have fun and try to see things from the positive side of things.

My wish for this game would be to see some real improvements and until that day come, this game is dead for me too in the sense of supporting it with real money. Hmm…

Topic: Rise of Mythos / New 1.3 Beast Pack Codes!

I never use Facebook either. Also their big facebook LIKE button they have inserted inside the game is… a sign of bad taste and ignorance for all who don’t choose to use Facebook. I just choose to ignore this, they do as they wish, and I’m sure they don’t understand that not everyone is using Facebook, because most companies does not. It’s a behaviour I see everywhere, my local grocery store included in that list. So no need to get upset. ;-)

However… bad taste does set it’s footprints in how I look at this company and possibly lowers my interest for this game as a consequence if it continues. Please let us choose Facebook or not by NOT giving us these options. Thank you.

Topic: Sorcery Quest / Roulette Question

What bothers me with the roulette system on this game and their other Swords and Potions game, is the fact that when they got their maintaince and you cannot log in, it gets you -5 on roulette system, not because you didn’t log in because you forgot or something. So their roulette system doesn’t work the way it was meant 2 for these 2 games.

They should do something to prevent this, definitely not OK in my opinion (create some delay system or something so time isn’t ticking away even during maintaince, perhaps?) because I haven’t the time to login every day during daytime.

Hmm… I just quit my web browser and then everything was working again. I have also experienced that when gameplay gets very slow with this game after a while, reloading the webpage makes it go faster again, maybe you can try that the next time it lags for you?

Left: Sorslasher lvl 5 (epic) + red: Obsidian spear (epic)
Front: God Mush lvl 5 (epic) + green: Strange trinket (rare)
Right: Obiwan Shinobi lvl 5 (epic) + yellow: Harmonius harp (rare)

Often it comes at 60%, the exception is when my ninja card gets hit back with counter, creates serious problems and might mike this end up just at wave 4, but most of the times it works. If placed on the left side, the ninja ally card does not do sufficient damage and thereby both ally cards needs to hit on the same enemy card, loses time, and the battle might get lost…

Topic: Card Monsters / Brainstorming for next Expansion

I haveto agree with thafunkymonkey. As a newbie it can still be worth a small amount of money to get into the game faster, that I think, but as you’ve played this game for quite some time, the improvements and new expansions makes the game less interesting than it could be. I don’t feel that I either love or hate this game, but it has gotten more fun for me to play live play with better cards, I used to loose all the time.

Don’t release another expansion without ally cards, I think it’s a mistake.

Topic: Card Monsters / [To Devs] Interface Fixes

I think that if Edgebee decided to find a new community manager for this game, I think they should at least consider hiring one of the most dedicated players for this game. That way we all get a community manager which have a passion for this game and close contact with the developers.

As it stands, there has been at least 1 new bug ever since the last expansion which hasn’t been fixed of any of the smaller updates which they have applied ever since. It would be nice if they could spend some time trying to fix it, such as when you upgrade a ally card, you haveto click back and forth in the tab to really see that it has levelled up, that bug was never present before the latest expansion release.

This Card Monsters doesn’t only need fixes, in my opinion it needs a full make over! I think that what I mean by that is that the game isn’t exciting enough and that is the most important and most critical thing of the whole game itself. So the way this game is created will make regular players go away and new comers will turn to other games for excitement. I enjoy playing this game, but looking at other games, it definitely makes me play this game a lot less than I would like to.

Topic: Card Monsters / We need something to talk about!

I think what some or not realizing before posting is that whether they get bad or good feedback affects Edgebee and their work being done with this game. I would say that in some games when developers stops caring, it would also include the response they get from us. The heroic expansion got names in the name from us in the community, I’m not certain if the developers have ever done such a thing for previous expansions. A.f.a.i.k. they did that work all by themselves. I think constructive crititics helps the developers to try and improve this game and I also believe that whatever feedback they get which isn’t like that would mainly waste their time, so no response on that should be expected, in my opinion.
