My best method – for this and so far no problems yet, about two refresh requests in 12 hours with no desync.

*needed – unity3d webplayer here:

1 – at the moment you get your next desync
open FF, and paste this:" about:preferences#advanced " without quotes,
and in the network options:
Note what your cache size currently is. (mine was 158)

2. close all other tabs before this step. Clear your network cache (in your browser " about:preferences#advanced " – just copy paste without the quotes, and select the network option. hit the clear cache button to do this step.

3. limit your cache to half of the size that you noted earlier.

4. there is a save button, hit that.

5. close down FF

6 run unity web installer

7 open FF after install finishes.

but mostly I only use FF for kong (unity) and with no tabs but kong

The magic number seems to be 75MB (*limit on the network cache) – sampled this wakthrough on an xp and vista laptop, and a win 10..and an xp desktop too;). )
It doesnt seem to matter how powerfull or weak your pc is.
Havent had a crash since, but 2 requests to refresh.

Nice, WELL done!

From VII.2 If you cease service of your game for Kongregate players any kreds spent in the game within 30 days of the cessation date will be refunded to the players and you will not receive revenue share for them. This provides assurance to players that their in-game purchases will be usable for at least 30 days. Because of this, and out of courtesy and respect to your players, we recommend giving at least 30 days’ notice to players before the game ceases service.

you see this is my point, this is a pg 13 site, i just feel bad for the kids who have no clue that they are dumping 100$ into a game that wont be available on the web after the plugins are dropped. There could at the very least be a disclaimer to the buyer.
“buy now! game gone tommorow!” or something.
Putting up a temp game to cash in on the Kong site, is not in the spirit of Greg or Ems. I dont think i could believe they would let this happen if they were aware.

So yes – I quoted you to say that The buyer does not know he is playing on an unsupported soon to be gone unitywebplayer – and thats the problem.

It is the same as: if there is about to be a global ban on diesel and you want to sell me a diesel gas truck…scam.

I believe these games should not be allowed to take Kred from the website. To create a game in a depreciated system, and take money from people who believe they are investing in a game that can have its bugs worked out – is fraud.

To prove fraud you need to prove the intent to steal.

If i make a game today in Unitywebplayer knowing that i cannot fix any of the player bugs – and knowing Unity has dropped it, knowing that Firefox will soon no longer support it, and to have no intentions of moving to the UntiyWebGL … that would make me a irresponsible developer, who could not care the least about community -at the best.
At the worst it would make me a developer that steals from the web players who have no mobile system, and laughs when theyre investments in happiness fall apart when their heavily paid games disappear.

If i do not recieve a reply about moving a certain game to the available unityWebGL, i will do my best to get my money back.

PSA :so I found out that development on the unity web player has stopped and has become depreciated, unity webplayer games will be played in the days following march 16 this year, on the unitywebgl wich uses api and wont be a plugin as plugins will not be supported anymore, )chrome, and edge do not ) not even in firefox in the comming days,as they have publicly stated that they are phasing out plugins (like unitywebplayer)
so any bugs curent on unitywebplayer will stay as no fixes will be released where development stopped.

guys: The Application Data—or AppData—folder contains data created by programs. Almost every program you install creates its own folder in AppData and stores information there. At least in theory, users don’t have to worry about these files.

heres a reply from another game to give u an idea of what happens in the AppData folder:

“*delete the floder * Only if you want to download them again. localappdata is the recommended cache storage location per Microsoft’s programming guidelines for Windows Vista and Windows 7 (and I assume 8 now). What you are seeing there are texture files that you download as you experience the world. We cache them locally instead of downloading them each time. If you delete those files, you will notice poor quality textures until you are able to download the higher resolution versions and they will be stored back in that location. Typically it is recommended to move localappdata, temp, and documents to a different hard drive when dealing with small SSD drives as the primary. "

That being said, you can easily clear your cache, and network cache in your browser
for fire fox u can go here

about:preferences#advanced

just copy paste into your firefox browser, under Network click the clear cache button
this will clear up some lag in your browser

another work around for this problem is to set the priority of the process higher. You cando this for Firefox itself or the plugincontainer for the game if u can easily locate it (not that hard)

To do this: right click on your desktop, select taskmanager, in the task manager select the process tabs. Find your firefox process right click and set the priority to above normal.

The game itself takes on close to a GB in memory in your browser, so prioritzing that may help too. it will run between 600 000 KB and 890 000 KB (divide by 1028 for MB) so you can identify it that way.

Also you may want to ensure that you are using your cpu with your browser! what do i mean? well multi core cpus have multiple “threads” they use to compute your aplications. So u can manually ensure that maximum cpu participation available is being used – like if FF can be handled by 4 cores, and its only using 2 of your 8 – well then u can make it better.

Im currently on a 386mhz cpu, with 2gb ram, and 8mb video (lol) – i will have to hop on the big boy to make a walkthrough for cpu threading…peace

PS: moving a folder is NOT copy and pasting – its right clicking and selecting “move”

I am having some problems with only Pan server
The client (game) loads only half way, that is to say my buildings show – but on a black background, and i can see ppl chat for a short period before i get an error telling me to log, but i cant chat.
I am going to bring it to the glitches and bugs thread to see if anything happens.

im running xp uptodate, and have tried and found the same results in Firefox, chrome, and ie.

As an academic Network Administrator and a security student, i wanted to say that : yes linux can look like vista easily enough.

And more importantly:
I am having the same problems with only Pan server tho.

bloody level 36 today!
2 players :)
*tip dont use ammo in the 1st 2 rounds, unless you have more then 3 lined up for 3x or more points per bullet – knife KILLS are much more points
And definitly let them out on the first 2 rounds for max drop/point potential.

when things get sticky keep a zombie pinned inside with constant repairs while a team-mate gets perks etc, then switch spots. strategic bettys kick ass too.

2 players to 31 on der reise:
hold the mainframe till half way throu round 4, Knife only on the first 2 rounds – letting zombies come in through the windows for maximum speacial drops.
hold the trench gun hallway (dont open the stairs) untill after the hellhounds, one guy gets the electricity, 1 gets the jugonaught and betty’s.
hold the electricity switch area (dont open the door behinde you yet) untill round 8-9.
hold the catwalk with one guy on the stairs, one in the window, drop betty’s at the top of the stairs for decent reloading time.
Hold here try to keep one zombie alilve and insde the window while the other opens up the teleporters and upgrades, you can switch so the other player holds the zombie(by repairing the window constantly) and one goes for upgrades/perks.
we can usually hold the catwalk till round 20-25, then its running around teleporting and monkey bombs.
my guns for 2 ppl are DG2 wonder waffe, baracuda / and raygun withe gutshot.
i love the c3000 b1y0tch (upgraded colt) for holding the window :P, but the upgraded M1A1 w/granades kicks ass too
