Topic: Collaborations / Game almost ready / artist needed / share of sponsorship

Thanks Something13 for your offer.

I purchased some software which comes with some bundled music tracks that I was planning to use use. BUT of course it’s MUCH BETTER if I can get some custom made music. I don’t like “free” :), so assuming we can get an artist who also agrees to this, I would like to pay you 10% of the sponsorship, if it’s OK with you. Do you have artist friends?

BTW all this revolves around the “IF” we can get sponsorship, it’s my first game for FGL so I really don’t know what to expect.

Hi Possumdevelop thanks for replying. Perhaps I did not make myself understood with the original post (it was late night). I need an artist to make to artwork for my game, the one I posted a link for.
If you are an artist interested in doing the graphics for my game, let me know and we’ll sort out the collaboration details. You shouldn’t need stencyl, you could draw the sprites in any art software you’re familiar with.

Topic: Collaborations / Game almost ready / artist needed / share of sponsorship

Hi artists,

My game is almost ready, I have coded most logic, I just need to make some more levels and some story.

I am looking for an artist to collaborate with for the graphics part.

This is my first ever flash game (made in stencyl), and the first game I will submit for sponsorship on FGL – so yes I’m new to this. I did make some other games but not flash.

The game is a puzzle called Turn out the light – you must turn out the lights in a building where there is an electric panel malfunction.

You can view the concept on the link below and decide if you want to collaborate with me. I will submit the game to FGL and if sponsored I will share the revenue from the sponsorship with you 50%-50%. I will not share subsequent potential ads revenue in this case.

If you would like subsequent potential ad revenue, another option is to share the sponsorship revenue (if any) 80% me and 20% you but in this case you get to keep all the ads revenue, i.e. I give you the stencyl project and it’s yours for good, you publish it on all portals you want etc without involving me – you will need to buy stencyl license though.

If we don’t get any sponsorship then we publish to Kongregate exclusively and split 50%-50% ads revenue if any.

If you are interested please reply here or PM me. Here is the concept WIP (art work is needed):

Any kind of feedback is welcome!

Thank you for your time.

Topic: Kongregate APIs / How to save / load stuff

I’m doing HTML5 games, I’m not that familiar with Flash. From what I gather, it’s the Flash Local Storage – is that correct?

Does this mean that if the player logs on from another computer, the progress is lost? Also, does it mean that if the user clears their Flash cache (by going to the Flash control panel), the progress will be lost as well?

Thanks again.

Topic: Kongregate APIs / How to save / load stuff

Hey guys, I’m new to this.

I’ve seen that games remember my max level between sessions. Say I play today and make some 7 levels, tomorrow I go back and I can play starting at level 8.

Where is this information saved?

I’ve seen the “save” API but the description sounds strange, “shared content” etc. Besides there’s no “load” API.

So my question is, how do the games remember where you left off, so you can start from there when going back to the game?

Thanks.
