Apologies, Linux is tricky to test, since there are so many distros… we’re looking into it.

Topic: Kongai / Look at Armor Games crappy Kongai rip-off!!!!

Hi. It’s not related at all to Kongai (you’ll see that if you play it). If anything, it was intended to be sort of a spin on Castlewars (or perhaps a fantasy Mytheria), with multiplayer. Kongai is sort of like a card-based Street Fighter, I don’t really see very much similarity at all, besides the fact that they are both card games.

We developed it, but Armor is sponsoring it — just like Mytheria 1 was sponsored by Kongregate.

Topic: Kongregate / Remove Doom Game.

That’s not a trivial conversion, he would have had to figure out how to port the display routines to Flash (probably just rendered to BitmapData), handle input, etc. I personally think it’s pretty neat, although it’s mainly just a technical challenge.

However, the Doom source was GPL-licensed, so in theory he legally can’t distribute a derivative work (i.e. this game) without also having the source code to this available? Also, I believe only the source is GPL, not the data. So, I would believe that making money from this is probably illegal, or at the very least violates the GPL license…?

I would be curious to hear what id thinks of this sort of thing…
