Changes to the Collabs section
I haven’t looked at Collabs in a long, long while, but today I was going to check on it. I’m glad I did before it was scrubbed.

▬▬ Kongai Card Inspirations ▬▬
Did I mention this before? Tafari’s funny-looking spear is possibly inspired by the story of how Elias Howe invented the sewing machine needle.
http://www.dreamsymbolism.info/aelias-howe.php
<< THE DREAM – I was in Africa and was being chased by wild cannibals. They caught me and placed me in a huge pot. I kept trying to get out but they kept forcing me back in with spears.
THE REALITY This was the dream of Elias Howe in 1845. He had been trying to figure out how to automate the sewing process. He fell asleep that night. He awoke scared to death. But he examined the dream in more detail and realised that the spears each had holes in them at the tip. This was the break through he needed to solve his problem. He designed a sewing machine which would similarly force the needle – the hole at the tip of the needle was the secret to this. This creative dream helped him to become the second richest man in the USA. >>

What is the most overpowered deck one can make
I don’t know if it’s OP really, but I think Voss (RoC), Agathe (Black Book), Oxbox (RoB) would drive opponents up the wall.

Who is the best finisher?
I don’t think anyone can beat a loaded balt in a 1v1.
Yeah, he’s the best, no question. Helene can take him, maybe Popo. Anex or Cain if the Balt player is careless.

New Card Group Ideas.
Bears.
Polar bear, with immunity to cold & elemental effects.
Another one that steals the items of those he kills.
Bear whose attacks all do bleed damage (which is not reversed by Periapt of course)
…
items could include a “pick-a-nicker’s hat” and some kind of bird that hangs around you.

What is the best of first card?
Bestor is OK, Phoebe is OK but not that close-range, Ashi is acceptable.
windtyping, you have Vanessa Voss, Phoebe, & Yoshiro. Any of these would be fine.

Before Posting a Possible Bug, Read This!!!
This happened to me once. If you kill someone with A66 Capacitor by changing range, a new character will switch in & you will not recharge energy for the next turn.

Reccomended Starters
Yeah, I think Higashi, Bestor, & Angelan are all good for newbies.

Maybe Onimaru is the wayward son. Note that he has no Chi Blast.

Reccomended Starters
Higashi & Angelan are both legitimately dual-range, & more accurate than MR-V1N & Popo. Bestor has a bunch of undercosted/overpowered effects, & can raise the whole team’s crit rate. I think HigAngeBeast is a decent deck idea.
Andromeda-Oni-Angelan is less good, as it involves two opposite monorangers. If anything happens to Angelan, you’re in the situation of tying range-changing to switching rest of the match.
Bestor-CC-Onimaru is OK. Bestor is putatively a close-ranger, as is CC, so they have synergy with Onimaru. Probably better than sticking him with Phoebe & Auger, say.

Popo is a kid, & undeveloped enough that the tarot card can’t tell. I’ve always thought Popo was a girl, but there’s a good argument that Popo is transgender.
Amaya looks male, but that may just be the armor. And Amaya is tiny. So the tarot card treats Amaya the same way, as undefined.
B9 may actually be sexless.
Really, what I find weird is that the tarot card thinks IBO-K9 & Gorbax are masculine. That doesn’t look like a boy dog to me, & Gorby isn’t even anthropomorphic.

Fun 3 Card Benchhitter
Wait, “fun” “benchhitter”? I don’t understand. Why even have benchhitters in the game? Why not have one game with, you know, Yomi, & another game for people that want to hit the whole side at once?
Really, what I’m saying is I think the bench-eaters should be deleted from the game & all you Zina-lovers should go play Elements.

Of course, considering the “breaking hearts” meme of the Witches, The Black Book may be partly meant to be a “little black book”—an address book.
(As for the Amazons, I can’t say there are DCU analogs for the Kongai Amazons, but they certainly draw on the same mythology in similar ways.)

Give me a deck
Try using Popo/Elusive Feather, MR-V1N/A66 Capacitor, & B9/whatever. You’ll always have an attack for your range, you’ll sometimes be slow on speed, but you should be able to play an energy game.
It’s up to you to learn how to use it. There is no pattern that will work consistently.

Oxbox of the Southern Rocks may be a reference to “Southern Rock” music like Lynyrd Skynyrd. Also, he looks a little like the human family in The Herculoids, though they didn’t have giant feet; their monster Igoo did.

IBO-K9 reminds me of the robot dog in Power Rangers SPD
Cain Solomon & Marquis Le Morte seem like they’d be at home in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
As for their names: Solomon Kane, of course, is an old Robert E. Howard pulp hero, who fought evil in all its forms. And MLM’s name may be inspired by the actress Robia LaMorte.
And I thought Wei-Shan’s costume was kind of a generic Chinese thing, actually.

The Amazons draw on ancient Greek myth & are conceptual relatives of the Wonder Woman characters.
Phoebe uses a lash (rope-based weapon) & her name is an epithet of the moon goddess. Diana uses a lasso (rope-based weapon) & her name is a Roman name for a moon goddess.
Andromeda is an archer, like the moon goddess Artemis, like Amazons in myth going back at least to Late Antiquity, & like Artemis Requiem, the Amazon combat archer who was briefly Wonder Woman in the 1990’s.
Ashi’s axe is akin to the labrys associated with ancient Anatolia (site of the original Amazon city of Themiscrya) & sometimes used in pictures when someone wants to give Diana a close-range weapon.

NINJA VS PIRATES
Yeah, bring in Darla with the Spyglass (or Girdle, Healing Salve, whatever), steal the Girdle (or Energy Core/Poison/whatever), then send in Ranec or Onimaru (who can close range & knock off Inner Fire/Lock-on/etc.), & mess up your opponent’s plans.
There are characters Auger really doesn’t want to fight, though, I’ve noticed that. Rumiko, too. They get hosed hard sometimes.
