We do have quite a nice little community on Rothus. Most any player is always willing to help out his/her peers. I’d say the player base on Rothus alone accounts for at least half the reason I still play SLO in the first place.

Still no stones pack in shop. I’m not spinning through lucky turning and wasting my time trying to get them anymore. I don’t have the inventory space nor the patience to deal with a bunch of Pluto set items I don’t need. You made a frag pack; make a stone pack.

It was pretty hilarious to see a level 35 Carl destroy an entire line in e3.

Don’t pick a tide class unless you’re willing to play until endgame. Tide is OP at level 100. Your hard work will pay off; believe me. Tribal class heroes are just about worthless in the tower of souls; any tribal shaman who has advanced turned tomahawk long ago. Tide archer is amazing at 100, as is noble paladin throughout, well, all of the game. Don’t knock tribal classes for being able to out-play you in the game at first, they’ll be sorry later. Believe me. If anything, noble is the overall strongest class on average throughout the entire game. Once you grind through and put in the work, you’ll realize how much better off you are with a non-tribal class. If anything, ZQgames made it incredibly difficult for tribals on purpose BECAUSE so many people pick them to start. Isn’t really fair to the few dedicated tribal players who have played for ages and suffer where the other classes excel easily in endgame, but I can see where we kind of deserve it for being strong and bragging our arses off for so long throughout the gate. The game has gotten a fair bit easier for newer servers than it was for those of us who started during the early days of Rothus, and the educated player can plainly look up the wiki for class advice. Don’t get discouraged, your tide class will pay off eventually.

I vote for removing Infection from those damn knights, or at least giving them the same success rate as my status ailments rather than ALL THE TIME. Takes like a minute too attack enemies in TOS because I have to wait for all the status effects to kill my troops. “BURN, TOXIC POISON, FROSTBITE, INFECTION! Ok now you can attack.”

It makes sense with the new server opening up at the same time that SLO is now advertising on Kongregate’s frontpage again. New users will most likely join Rio, just like the last flock of new users joined Frost. Merging Rothus with either of the other younger servers would create a huge disconnect between high/low levels. I’m not opposed to the idea, but if the merge causes as many problems as it did on the home servers, it wouldn’t be worth it. (Not to mention it would piss literally 100% of users off on both servers.) Until they can form a merge without such substantial mistakes, it just doesn’t seem at all viable to me.

Good on you Vaxxun and happy birthday! During my tenure as a Rothus GM I did similar Dark spin giveaways every Tuesday. If we players can afford to donate, I don’t see any reason for the devs not to offer better daily freebies. I think the Crazy Adventure should be a regular daily reward and should be kept from here on out. It isn’t much, but it gives us a reason to login every day. More power to all top or high level players who donate to the up-and-comers.

10-12 players on rothus server are expecting retribution stones for the daily battle awards we cannot claim. I’m expecting ZQ to pay for as many days as we beat it in a row without receiving the prize. I will be keeping the battle records as proof. Thanks!

the heroes are fine. just baptize your own. the system of luck isnt. the droprates are ridiculous and needing 10 stones to fort one time over 100 with a droprate as low as it currently is is ludicrous. 20% stone drop would be realistic. I’m just waiting for zq to put stones in shop for 10 D a piece. 100 d for one fort! seems economically viable am i right? Don’t go alienating your top players or anything…
Also a consistent droprate would be nice. Some players seem to have “all the luck” as rod stewart would sing. Poorly. I love SLO and I’ve played on Kongregate religiously since its inception, but really. The cost differential is growing exponentially like some kind of nanomachine colony bent on taking over and I’ll be the last person you all grey goo. 20% droprate of stones is realistic now. Most on all servers can’t even farm them. after 75 battles with no drop it seems a bit ludicrous to me. Before you start charging for them, give us a chance to earn them. You’ve made the Tower beatable for all classes at this point, why not reset the droprate a little bit before you decide to sell these items for a ridiculous amount of diamonds like you did with the fragments? My cat agrees. We share a character on Rothus.
