Hey thanks for writing about Enola: Prelude! That screenshot is very old though, I have taken a couple more for you:

You can view a trailer here: http://www.grindheadgames.com/enola-prelude-trailer

The game should be released in about 3 weeks, we are just sorting out licensing. Some other great looking games here!

Topic: General Gaming / Final Fantasy Going Overboard

Final Fantasy 7 was a huge inspiration for Enola: Prelude. We decided to pay homage to it by including a meteor limit break, watch out for that one, its badass :P

While I loved 7 and 8, i never got the chance to play 9 which is a bit of a shame. I think anything they have made past 10 has been terrible. The artwork, while high res, is just weird. The male characters all look progressively more like women while being male. They also have a habit of including more and more annoying characters. I swear half the cast of FF13 made me want to rip my face off. There is also less gameplay, as you spend a LOT of time watching FMV videos. This wouldn’t be so bad if the characters weren’t like a bad rash.

However i have so much love for the first ones that I will keep buying them, in the vain hope they remember how to make a decent game.

Topic: Game Programming / Selling Games on FGL

Hello,

For my dissertation i am researching Flash Game License and the monetization of flash games. To do this i need to interview people that have released games using FGL and gather statistics about games released.

If anyone has a spare 10 minutes and wouldn’t mind sharing there results and experiences on using FGL i would love to hear about it, possibly over skype?

If you have 5 minutes, then please help me by completing this survey on FGL.

In return i offer some highlights of my research so far

and an interesting article – http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/ColmLarkin/20091008/3257/You_Should_Be_Making_A_Premium_Flash_Game.php

Thanks
