Havoc…I agree he’s strong, but…only 4hp. Reminds me of meteor. I doubt he will see major play across the board.
Sprintpod…I like the protect all 2…6hp & 3 wait? Wallstall outflanks him, strike kills him before he activates, fear blows by him…I’m not seeing what your seeing here. I haven’t played with him, but I can see that’s he’s a hair slow. I think you were waiting for this guy instead…

Worldbreaker…soulsteel with siege, but w/o a guaranteed strike…I’ll take the guaranteed strike 2 all against drones…he wouldn’t activate against a TI heads up. He gets siege 4 in the mirror, so he excels there. I’m giving this guy a thumbs down overall. I highly doubt he will see serious play especially if the player already has soulsteel or hoc.

Silo…Probably the best card out of the mini set, but it’s a gold card…so if you really want it…you could just wait instead of jumping in the lottery.

I’m just not seeing a card screaming “buy me” because I will create a new archetype/deck/idea. At best we got 1 support card for wallstall.

For someone to win as many 24 hour standards as I did during my heyday it would take them a minimum of 3-5 months (depending on frequency) of 1st place finishes. I think I set the bar much higher then Shian did and kept it up across multiple metas. Plus everybody is content with 1% instead of 1st place, plus nobody is playing standards anymore…so it would be a lot harder to reach that same accomplishment. If they ever start focusing on the PVP element I might make a comeback, but as long as they focus on grinding, bots, allowing loopholes/cheating, and simulators making decks for everyone…count me out…

Some might say good riddance, but…I think most will say I had a positive impact on the game?

Reasons for Leaving:
Standards are dying. Perhaps because I stopped my thread a while back, but more so I think because the power gap is at an all time high, even more so then when everyone used to complain about people that WB.

I’m just not motivated by faction wars/conquest at all. The lack of the PVP element just kills all enjoyment for me. Impossible defense against players with 2 or 3 relevant meta decks.

It was fun for a while, but I think most will agree that grinding auto battles is no fun. PVP is where this game should go imho, but they have not put any effort into that area while I’ve been here.

Simulators create decks for you. Snooze.

Nobody is allowed to troll in the forums anymore. Snooze.

Bye to all of the Standard buddies I made along the way. Too many to list, but you know who you are. That was definitely the most fun aspect of the game.

Preach Jimbo! Preach!

I’m starting to feel the same way. They should just get rid of fear all together. The archetype is boring and requires little to no skill. This would help them focus on fixing the current archetypes. Reminds me of Dredge in magic. Why would they make the mechanic in the first place? All these cards & skills to battle and then fear just sidesteps them all and doesn’t interact with any of them minus walls.

Increasing deck sizes to 20 & hands to 4 could be interesting as well to keep the game evolving.

You can farm 100-200k & even once I did 320k (three 10k tournaments & 1 5k tournament) in a day by winning Standards & farming the most efficient mission (Currently 252). Sadly I have not seen many Standards lately probably due to the fact that Standards have been dying because people can’t keep up with the cards to compete except a few. Unfortunate side effect of releasing too many cards. The power gap is probably at an all time high right now.

I always saw those people in the forum complaining about losing wbs or gold, but it never happened to me until today.

Lost 60k buying a purity pack and no pack with cards popped up on the screen. Just lost the 60k. Bought 2 more packs and they showed up fine.

Do I get reimbursed or just lose the 60k and call it a bug that needs to be fixed?

and…yes, I know I can go farm 100-200k in a day, but there has not been many standards this week.

Everytime I play pvp vs balor he survives to activate unless I’m playing a heavy strike deck. After the 1st turn of activation he is usually dead though.
