I believe that hirudo’s max targets is around 10~11 (7-10 for shadow circuit + 2 for nectron overload). In the heat of battle it is really hard to count the number of SC tendrils there are (especcially since it constantly moving in and out of range and destroying targets. The max that it could be, however unlikely is 15 (I believe i ran into about that many drones + players and it started to leave some out)

I agree with lackofskill, the hunter’s mark would be too easy to abuse if they are teleported to you, teleport with them instead. Also how large is the radius of matrix? It should be small enough so that the enforcer can get out before it activates (or else it is practically useless), but larger than undu’s time flux. Is Deception kind of like ninvisible? can you break it by attacking? Also maybe you should take away the invincibility, make it so that you can be damaged if you are hit by a stray round.

Masa of the hirudo medals I have every thing except: 50 Shades of Drone, Droney See, Droney Die, The Drone Percent and Legend. I could get 50 Shades of Drone if I really wanted to in a match also. Of course it would probably mean losing but I could.
And I said Craw was the only one that is clearly OP, the others you just need a strategy to win. I didn’t say that Craw wasn’t OP I said it is the only one that is still OP. Clank: put an expert clank against an expert of every single type of ship and I would bet that almost every one would be able to kill it (SS, Circe, and Torpaz are the possible exceptions. Masa you forget that every single one of those 100 players have a different opinion of what needs to be changed, and if you change one thing a third of them are going to protest because they think that thing didn’t need to be changed. Also for Undu: except for Ant maybe it is the most newbie friendly ship. It is meant to be easy to master aka a very bad player might be a very good player in undu. They still have to work that skill, but it is very easy to get that skill.

BunBun, dread has no ballistic weapons? what about the BFG, or the minigun? Or the nuke for that matter? As long as a gun shorts something with mass it is a ballistic round. Aka everything the dread has is ballistic.

Uh darth, the ballistic weapons barely do any damage too buildings, and there aren’t that many ballistic anyway (dread and jabber primarily). It is the energy weapons that cause the most damage (ants, clank, undu). The energy might be shaped into a bullet but ballistic weapons are actually fast moving objects with mass. Energy like ant’s bullets don’t have mass so it isn’t a ballistic.

All of my post was kinda pointing to that one thing, my summarized points, 1. There are always going to be the trolls that think something is unbalanced, and it is, even if it is only slightly very slightly. 2. It isn’t realistic to expect anything to be perfectly balanced, especially with the game the way it is, low income, not many persistent players, etc. 3. Shut Up and accept the previous points. No offense or anything people but that is the way I see it.

Tao im not saying everything is perfectly balanced, for a ship to be perfectly balanced is impossible, I am saying that almost every ship is as balanced as it can realistically be. Or do you want the devs to spend forever on an impossible task? I don’t so I say suck it up be realistic the ships aren’t going to balanced, it’s impossible. Everyone one would have to agree on what balanced is, which is impossible, so Masa suck it up stop complaining about the devs not doing an impossible task. This isn’t a big enough game for them to have a huge staff working 24/7 to balance stuff like other games are. It isn’t enough of a money maker. So suck it up, and quit complaining.

its true, if you don’t die through out the whole match as hiru (provided you are actually a semi-decent hiru), then it is impossible not to get at least 4 mad doctors (well at least 3 if the match is really short).

i have played xghr at least 20 times ss around 20 times as well as a few others maybe. Hirudo however is the one I am best at and i only go with others if 1. Im trying them out (or trying to improve in the ship), 2. if hiru is taken (next option is xrgh), or 3. if im tired of bashing up newbies. in which case ill get another ship (any ship) and play, so yes even though im mainly hiru player, i still manage to play enough of other ships to know them.

Ty tao i have been taking a break recently so my ranking suffered alot probably (leaderboard ranking that is) Last time I checked i was on the leaderboard (or should have been) in everything except ranking. However there is some weird thing going on which leads to my never being on the leaderboard. (its extremely frustrating but hey this way i dont care about my ranking)

+1 mammel: the ship can only be as good as you are with it. For players whose play style are completely incompatible with craw, they wouldn’t be able to do anything with it. Masa stop bitching about OPness, yes ships can be OP, however almost all the ships are almost completely balanced (except for craw maybe). This makes some of them unbalanced rather than OP. Craw is the only one that can be even considered OP right now, while I have been taking a break for a while so I don’t know the current stats, it still applies. Craw hasn’t been around long enough to be considered unbalanced yet, it is approaching there but not yet. Every other ship, if not balanced, is approaching balanced. So people who complain about every ship being op cough masa cough you are plainly wrong. I know i have refuted many claims about my favorite ship hirudo being op. The newbies don’t know how to fight it and just rush it thinking it is just like any other ship and get smashed. Vets rarely run into skilled hirus anymore leaving them to underestimate the skilled ones, which leads them into being thrashed. It’s not the ships anymore (exception craw maybe) its the skill of the players and the mindset of the player. Cockiness, overestimation of your skill, underestimation of the opponent’s skill etc. These are what turns a vet into a player with newbie skill. And the opposite causes a newbie to get the skill of a pro. Know your limits, don’t be cocky but don’t be under confident. Be careful, but not too careful. Once you get these down you will find your skill accelerating rapidly. Don’t do these and your skill will plument. The mind is very important in this game, know your skill, know your enemies skill.

Tao angel is just an example, there are also other ships that if you increase the regen then you prevent them from destroying anything solo. And you can’t buff all of them because you would make some of them OP in other areas, so the idea still needs to be altered and if you can’t alter it to fit, then discarded.

So this is what you did with Grim’s pet, seems good but a bit too much on the offensive side, needs some defense as hurpidurp said. Hurpidurp good suggestions, however tracking, really, however your third suggestion (soul harvest ghosts) needs some work. Instead of attacking those who attack you how bout a feedback shield, the ghosts shield your ship from the incoming dmg and deals a certain percentage of that dmg back to the attacker (devastating for ant, and imagine using it right before being hit by a nuke). Of course it would have to be changed to an active skill.

Good idea Lack, however what about those ships that have a hard time killing turrets/buildings as it is, like angel, angel would be reverted into a pure PvP ship, and since there are better PvP ships that leaves it with no role, so while it is a good idea, it needs to be balanced by taking into account the ships

Portal… Nectron Overload has an energy cost, and a rather big one as well, the only reason why you don’t see it is because it also sucks energy out of ships, and with the damage that it has replenishes your life rather quickly (1-2 secs max). The hirudo is perfectly balanced i don’t know why people complain about it all the time.

Hirudo can do it in around 10-11 min you just have to do it right (turrets can be down it a few secs at lvl 9 its the lvling that is troublesome)

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Good article on VORP

I actually don’t think they are going to end it even if it is not profitable. It seems like they want to explore their creativity rather than just make games that pay the bills. Vorp lets them explore that whether it pays or not. After all you can pretty easily create a game that doesn’t require creativity but pays the bills. It is the creative games that are the best, and if they spread it around other sites, it just might start paying off.
