All the screen indications were that the players could reclaim the items per EACH player that spent the specified amount.

Yes it was a bug, yes it was not working as intended (or as hinted in game). It’s sad that there is no official response to the issue.

@ SatansS4: I really do not compreend how you can say “I believe it worked exactly how they intended.”

I am talking about alentejo and zyrx. Both, they didn’t sign in the ESoK 12.2 planner, though they joint in and did more than 120k damage !! (10% of an ESoK is not negligeable)
It’s ruining the raid for other players because they won’t be able to do the damage they signed for.

Yeah, our bad. We found who did this and we will adress this. Sorry for the incovinience, it is frustrating to try and get an ESoK going, only to see it go awry.

I saw the ESOK help call on faction chat and joined trying to help, without noticing that it was an HQ-organized raid and without verifying with anyone within X-COM.

The results are plain bad. Just like you, i totally prefer an ESOK raid that does not end so fast.

Thanks to the “Core Vault Management Team”, now i am an happier player.

For those of you who thinks this is random: LOL:
2 times on US prime-time and 1 time on Europe Prime-time in 4 days.
That …totally… looks random.

You do realise this is not something the devs actually control, yes?

Why do you think the card was never available after grimclaws were revealed \\ during the event?
Look at how much time the Gnorlock was out-of-vault compared to all other rare commanders. The probability of being “just random” is revealing. Feel free do to the math.

Anyway, other events will come, other vault cards will come, and you will arrive to your own conclusions.

Just to be clear: The rest of the game i believe it is truly random, including pack cards and daily rewards.

Giving my 2 cents into the subject:

I think the absence of trading from this game is vital:
1. it takes away from alters\botters a lot of possible advantages
2. it allows and it promotes meta variaty

Right now, with the current end game raids\missions the card is just useless.

In the future, one never knows. We can get a mission\raid in wich the burst damage and the kill summon of Gorrus are of great utility.

On PVP side, the card is also useless\too slow to make the diference.

REMARK – I do not know the game as good as any of you devellopers. I am writting this just as a sugestion for you to take whatever you think is useful.

Well for new players the one and most important thing is to keep the new player “hooked” to tyrant. I see 2 main efforts to help on that:
1. Making the rewards worthing it – giving the sense of “progress”
2. Making the game “fun” to play

Proposes:

1. Rewards to new players

a) I think you really can give X gold & Y shards on each new level. Surely, maintaining the 30 shard limit. The gold would help marginally the high level people and will help a lot low level people.

b) Level 1-30 (looking into game statistics you know if it should be 30 or more) Should play against a different set of quests. This quests should be more educational then a challenge. For example:
“Rainbow Strike”
“Wall Stall”
“Imperial Fear”
“Xeno Fear”
“Rigtheous Slow Roll”

Theese players need to advance on content, so they do only 1 mission per day to complete the quests and get the 5000 gold and the 2 shards.

2. Making the game “fun”:

a) I would try to hook new gamers into tourneys. How do you do that? easy, granting them cards on the 1st /2nd /3rd /4th/5th/6th/7th/8th/10th wins on the first 50% of the tourney. The rewards would not impact end-game gameplay. It could be:
1. Sabre
2. Vigil
3. Sundering Ogre
4. Tactical Infiltrator
5. Death from above
… insert other educational cards here
9. Mayumi
10. Some legendary that does not impact meta but it should be super useful – Rox Chainblade for example.

b) Events only for high-end players is what turns people more and more frustrated then anything. The last event if full proof of what i am saying here.

Similar to what you did with the Ospry event, you can have an easy low-level quest with rewards (Energy\gold\XP ratio) that are not interesting to old players but very interesting to new players – for example on par of mission 200.

New Daily Login Reward System:
This went totally BAD in 3 ways:

1st – it reduces the shard income of the players.
2nd – it gives more WB then before to the players, clearly predating into tyrant’s profit.
3rd – giving more WB to everyone greatly reduces meta variety… because everyone will buy the most OP card in the moment.

The shard system is a great way to give a chance to players to get the newest cards. And given the expansions size, it is almost a lottery.

Giving more WB and less shards is just like giving free money to the people. Giving free money is never a good idea. With another bad consequence: everybody will buy the same cards that are dominating the meta and this kills the objective of having a “more colorful” meta.

I agree with the need of 2 legendary cards to upgrade it exactly because i think it will help a lot on a less stalled meta.

I totally disagree with removing shards, it give players a shot at latest content\cards:

At current pace, i get +- 3x shards a day (1 from daily chance and 2 from daily quests).
That is 15 shards in 5 days. with that 15 shards i can buy 1 pack of the latest expansion.

I hope the new system allow players acess to the latest expansion between 1 pack per each 5-7 days.

I letf tyrant because new packs were WB only.
I returned when i became aware of the shards allowing to buy packs.
it is really annoying to know that you do not even have a shot at the latest cards.
