I am not obease, And I have a Girlfriend. RS doesn’t ruin my life in anyway, I only play it when I am bored from anything else. I know I will probably get bashed in this thread for liking runescape, but so be it, If you don’t like it, you don’t “have” to comment you know.
It pops up in everything from talking face to face, and to our gaming community.
For the sake of this discussion I would like that we leave out the online/gaming racism we see quite a lot… Simply because the main reason for this, is anonymity. What I would like to focus more on is the stuff we see and hear coming from another.
It’s in the news, I am sure you would have hear it ‘Racism attack’ or something along those lines. Its in our day to day society, I am sure you have heard it being discussed. What I want to discuss is why?
People find it funny to discriminate someone simply because of their race? People feel its OK to injure someone because of it?
What causes people to do this? How could someone bring them up to be like this, Why is Media showing it as some would call a ‘funny’ form.
It is shown to have died way back, that Racism is a thing of the past, However it clearly isn’t, And saying that ‘It is not as bad’ Is not OK. It shouldn’t be around at all.
The life we are living is changing, This world is under threat from Global Warming and other natural disasters, And people are still arguing and fighting with others because of their race.
What are your views on this subject, what do you feel about it?
I feel that we are all… But one race, and that is Human. We should be working together in society to help one another, not killing one another over the most ridiculous of reasons.
The first two I used the macro feature with, as to get what I am focusing on in focus, and the rest behind/infront of it blurry. However on the first one the wind blew some more of the branch into my view =D
And yes billyfred, the plants are in the way, they were meant to :)
As for that ice picture, It was actually taken on a run along the side of the mountain. We just came across this vast wall fill of ice, and some random guy told us they could be 200stone in weight.
Took a few photos
(Some of you may remember a while back when I posted a few amateur photography shots, Well I think I have improved, maybe on just the one photo but yeah)
I had more but I wont upload them as I am sure these are bad enough already…
This topic has greatly got me interested in trying this. I will try later tonight, and try train my self into it. Also, what I love is that it doesn’t waste any time, so I won’t feel I am missing out on something else, because I would be asleep anyway.
The goriest game i have ever played (purely because i don’t play/like blood/gore games much) has to be Half-Life 2. On that level Revenholm, that creped me out, what with all the zombie things, and the first appearance of the really quick, 4 legged zombie creature.
I don’t believe in religion, so that doesn’t influence me against it, never will. I also am not gay, no… far from it, but I do not feel the need to stop them. I don’t dislike gay people either, many can be really cool people to chill with, and many of us I am sure would be hypocrites on the matter.
For instance, I have seen a male dislike “male” homosexuality to a vast extent, yet he is fine with letting some Lesbians do what they want.
Marriage among gay people should be fine, why not? Live the life’s we have, instead of wasting time stopping others to live theirs.
Don’t know if any of you know this urban sport, but I personally love it.
For those that don’t know (or want to see cool vids of it) click below, i have embeded the one, which i think symbolizes the skill required to do such a thing.
I have heard many people complain about the “sport”, but after having done it for around 4 months now, it really is a skill that could be well used (say your getting chased by greg and his crew because you stole his cookie)
I find it a great way to keep fit, and it makes you more able/daring, because you have to focus your mind on doing it.
This activity also ties in well with martial arts.
(for those wishing to get into this urban sport/activity then always start on some small structures, such as the sides of stairs, and train hopping back and forth, if you go big straight away, you can injure yourself)
There are a few good videos by the French (i believe) parkour master, who did the BBC advert. He talks a bit about the sport on youtube, if your are interested, they are great to watch/learn from.
Please post what you feel of the activity, and if you do it already what it gives you :)
It comes down to the fact that every country has its own laws, and therefor, when entering that country, we should learn those laws and abide to them.
Shame in a way, there should be a class, of some sort, in every Country, in which those that wish to work/live there can learn the laws as to not come under any trouble.
I’m not saying it’s her fault, no, but she should have given more thinking power to the subject. It’s a rather difficult case to study (we had a similar debate in my Philosophy)
Islam looks at Mohammed as the prophet who restored the grounds (if you wish) of the religion.
Now then, a child in Sudan most likely rarely sees a teddy bear, this was a new item to them that the Teacher took into lesson. The Teacher allowed the name of Mohammad to be given to the bear, which is bound to cause conflict, as she is allowing it to be represented as the prophet. Had she took time to study the laws of such country, then she must have been able to understand how the country would take it.
I was sailing across the vast ocean of the internet when I found this beauty of a web system.
Allows you to customize/make a homepage suited to you (to some extent) and it can do much more than your some other custom homepage tools, such as iGoogle
I highly recomend this two anyone who wants to have a homepage suited to them every time they open the web browser. Best of all it’s free.
here is my minimalistic example, you can make yours as complex as you wish, with custom backgrounds and what not, or you can even choose from pre-made examples.
Well to me, thats the same lazy mistake many people do. If you are going to a country to live/work there, then take the time to actually learn about there culture. To some extent I do say it was her fault, but I feel that giving her time in jail, and those marches for death where over the top.
I also love that Empty Walls song, It was from a solo album by Serj Tankian who was in SOAD and he a totally awesome guy who delivers allot of meaning to his songs.
