<body>Like some others, I thought it was cool that you could only control Sonny, but I agree that the way the story is told is annoying... actually, the only part that bothered me was Veradux. He doesn't explain who he is at all! You run into him unexpectedly in battle... okay, that's no time to talk. But afterwards, considering that Sonny is burning up inside with questions about what is going on, you'd think that he would ask some of them to the second friendly person he has met.... and considering that person is wearing the uniform of the people that have been trying to kill him, he presumably has a very good idea of exactly what is going on.

But no, Sonny is content to just keep fighting and basically never ask Veradux anything. I think the dialogue from the 2nd battle with Veradux is something close to Veradux saying &quot;I've got your back. Lets rip 'em up!&quot; After that, apparently, introductions are complete: they are ready to keep charging into battle together without discussion.</body>

<body>Unlike what most others are saying, Newbzorz, I agree with you. I have beaten 4 Second Fury, Frenzy, and Firestorm without trouble, but the hard badge on that game was impossible...

That is, until I realized, it's all about your computer. I have a fast computer (I'm guessing you do too). that makes it impossible. Play on a slower computer and it's no trouble.</body>

<body>The problem with tags is not only that many people spam them with useless garbage tags such as &quot;fun,&quot; &quot;needs badges,&quot; &quot;too hard,&quot; ect., but also just the whole way they are implemented right now does not really provide a useful service, even if all the useless tags are removed.

My understanding from a long time ago (this may now be out of date), was that the tags were originally intended to govern the list of five &quot;Recommended Games&quot; that always appear when you're playing a game (tags actually pre-date the existence of the search feature).

In any case, this doesn't really work, every game has the standard list of top five recommended games from their genre, but I think right now Kong staff is more focused on making Kongai work than fixing up the tags/Recommended Games feature to make it more useful.</body>

<body>I thought of that problem a little bit, and I agree that it's hard to come up with a way to generate recommendations automatically that are high quality, but it's not really worth anyone's time to go pick them all by hand.

One way to do it that I came up with is that you could make it so each user gets to recommend something like 3 games (or more or less, I just think there needs to be a cap) for each game. It's sort of like a favorites list, but you have an individual list for every game. Then, the site can total these up, and list the top five recommended games for each game.</body>

<body>Am I the only one that is bothered by how the &quot;recommended games&quot; shown beneath the instructions for your current game are never very helpful?

Basically, if you read the lists of the top five games in each category on the main Kongregate page, you never need to worry much about having anything else get recommended to you. This is not entirely a bad thing, because after all, those are the best games on the site, but in my mind the recommended games list could be so much more. Ideally, you'd imagine it would actually recommend games that the user would enjoy if they enjoy their current game.

For instance: Castlewars recommends a bunch of other multiplayer games. It would make a lot more sense for it to recommend something like Moster Master as an example of another CCGish type game. Monster Master's recommendations include tower defense games and Papa's Pizzeria... hardly similar games. Listing other multiplayer games for Castlewars makes some sense, but it isn't very helpful, because I can just get that same list off of the Kongregate home page.

Just a few more: shouldn't danZtyle recommend Beat Master 3000 and Super Crazy Guitar Maniac? Shouldn't Dark Cut recommend Dark Cut 2? Both Dark Cuts give you the standard list of the top 5 puzzle games. Wouldn't it make sense for Sola Rola to recommend Spin the Blac Circle? Manifold to recommend Fold? Mardek chap. 1 to recommend chap. 2? Ect.

Sorry if it seems like I'm complaining, but I feel that this is one of the features of the site that is overlooked or ignored, and everyone just takes for granted that it isn't very useful. However, if it could actually work as it should, it would be an amazing feature: it would be incredibly useful and people would love having it. It would make Kongregate even more awesome than it is now.</body>

<body>I decided to just make this about multiplayer strategy, because I think we can agree that the AI for single player is terrible. I just wanted to start a discussion about different tricks or tactics.

What do you usually use for your staff? I go for all three as spinmeisters. I think the long range is import enough to make them the best. Also, Mire is a deceptively powerful ability. With it, you can use them as an assassin squad on the enemy pres. Once your opponent foolishly brings him too far into the open, you spring the trap. One spinmeister to mire him each turn, while the other two and your pres wail on him.

Does anyone else have different tricks they want to share?</body>

<body>I also agree with this idea. There are a few reasons I think it's good.

1. There are a lot of people that are over 18 and have the desire to chat in a way that is pushing the limits of what's allowed in the public rooms, but is perfectly acceptable in an 18+ room. Not necessarily because they want to flame people or make derogatory comments, just because they want to joke around and talk with their friends in the same way that they naturally would outside of Kongregate.

2. It serves as a way to clean up the other rooms. If an 18+ room exists, users interested in chatting in a certain way will flock to that room where they can be themselves. Thus, conflict between them and mods in the public rooms is averted, and they can have fun on Kong in their own way without getting banned.

3. It allows for a lighter punishment than banning to be handed out by mods. Specifically, I'm thinking a 'public room ban.' If a user is acting just slightly over the line and doesn't really deserve a ban, it can be hard to know what to do. Now there can be an intermediate option: banning them from the public rooms only (those that aren't 18+).

I view this proposal as win-win. Users that want to chat in an 18+ manner get to do it without getting banned, and then the rest of us don't need to deal with them in the public rooms, because they'll naturally head towards the 18+ room for their own enjoyment.</body>
