Topic: The Last Stand: Dead Zone / Floodlights - Question/Idea

Do Floodlights have a physical purpose or do they only improve security rating?

If they don’t – why not?

If they do – does it affect the whole area around it or just the area in front of it. Would it not be a good idea to show it’s area of effect when you select it?

It’d be an extra challenge if occasionally a building was unexpectedly occupied by another group of survivors, who, seeing you as raiders, would attack you to defend their home. It’d make you consider more possibilities when choosing your team and make the levels less predictable.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Tankwars] Question about Blade Upgrades

I’m guessing by the sand-timer symbol it’s cooldown. I think you should be able to upgrade the special weapon’s power, as in later levels it stops being as powerful as the cannon, which makes it much less, well, special.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Tankwars] Question about Blade Upgrades

Hi There,

Does anybody know the following:

A) Does upgrading the firepower of the Blade improve the damage of the special weapon?

B) Does upgrading the Special improve the damage or just the cooldown?

If the answer to both these is no, then why not?!

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Platoonz] Idea for new class

Yeah Sniper would be cool; it’d have to be HIGH damage, but it’d have to have low firing rate, low def and health, and be quite slow to balance out the massive range advantage.

Some weapon ideas for Grenadier class:
Laser-targeter – shots against target enemy are more accurate and likely to cause crits
Glue/Freeze Gun – Target enemy’s move and attack speed significantly slowed
Nanobot/Acid cloud grenade – all Enemies in range’s defense is drastically lowered.

Some weapon ideas for Medic:
Syringe gun of Health – target ally heals slowly
Syringe gun of frenzy – target ally’s attack speed increases
Steroid rifle – Target ally’s damage increases
Haste grenade – all allies in range’s move speed increases.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Drakensang Online] Strongest for PVP?

I disagree about knights being the only option for bosses – I find with my mage I can take out much tougher bosses than I should be able to ), due to the ability to dodge spells and stay out of harm’s way.

I however completely agree that mages could do with some kind of magic temporary armour spell. If they did more damage I could understand them being so flimsy in defense, but they’re no glass hammer.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Platoonz] Idea for new class

I thought it would be good for there to a sort of support class for your squad, a ‘specialist’ that could enhance your squad’s ability or hinder the enemy’s.

Like the other classes, You could choose how to use your specialist through different skills and equipment. For example:

Medic equipment would allow them to heal other units, cure them of ailments or give them boosts.

Grenadier equipment would allow them to impair the enemy’s ability with smoke grenades etc

To keep them balanced you could make it so they don’t actually cause any damage to the enemy; this would leave the player with the decision of whether to take a specialist and boost the performance of their other troops, or take another soldier and rely on the often expensive and limited support that items give.

If anyone has any other ideas for this class or changes they’d make please do say so!

Eventually it’d be great for there to be at least 5 classes, then you’d have really unique team line-ups.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Drakensang Online] Strongest for PVP?

I know there may be a lot of disagreement about this, but:

Which class do you think is strongest in PvP?

Personally I find Rangers to be the toughest, as they’re hard for Knights to pin down and can usually out-shoot Mages (big slow moving fireballs are rather easy to dodge).

Obviously in this game, level counts for a lot because of the huge damage bonuses, but on a level field, who has the advantage?
