The reason no one goes into the temple is because you can’t get in. It kills you.

Since most items obtained from chests are poor in quality, what if once you get 2 or 4 items of the same name (minus suffix) you can combine them for an item of 1 higher quality and same level?
EDIT:
Maybe also add the ability to make monsters stronger than the pre-set level.
EDIT2: Maybe also some other kinds of boosts for gear? IE Hp Regain, Autoslash(Hold button to attack), Hp leech, dash recharge speed up?

Some of my tips. :)
1. Do not put your avatar in an open area. Also, do not put him in an area where a sniper can take him out from their spawn area.
2. Considering troops do not regen energy while in the transporter (they don’t), leave them in some sort of barracks in your fortress for both a full defense and the bonus of the energy regen.
3. Default fortress layout sucks.
4. Attacking a player near your rank is success, not attacking a player who is beginning with 300 infamy.
5. Shebots are annoying. Use traps against them.
6. Speaking of traps, use those useless convicts to lure gullible players right into trap points.
7. Minefields are one of the most infuriating things known to man.

Okay, thx. Clears up quite a bit. However I was attacked in the beggining by a very high level player, so what if there was some sort of 24 hour begginer protection?

Annoying Bug
In my base there is this one tile where units cannot be moved atop of it and the floor tile on it moved to an odd position atop another floor tile. Help?

Topic: DV8:Exile / New Unit Suggestions

Well here are some ideas for some units, hope they work well. :)
Ceiling Turret – Deals less damage than a regular turret, but does not get in the line of fire to prevent friendly fire
Sleeping gas – A trap that affects a 5×5 block of space. Reduces energy by 1 every 5 seconds. Does not affect energy. Lasts 1 minute.
EMP – A weapon that disables all electrical units on the field. One use.
Poison gas – Deals one damage every 5 seconds to any non energy units in 5×5 range. Lasts 1 minute.
Hazmat Unit – Immune to gas.
Hacker – Disables traps and reprograms turrets.
Forcefield – Like a wall but can be walked through. As in it takes damage and shots can’t pass through but you can walk into it…
Floor Turrets – Can be walked on and does not count as a wall when defeated. However, it is invisible to onlookers until an enemy enters range.
Electric door – A door that can be closed by control panels.
Control Panel – Attaches to the wall, can be used to open and close electric doors by your units and hackers.

Legel A memory of my life before this sort of tells me how to use this. I ask the Sage,a few of the Mages, and the Spies to to come over here and see if they can figure it out. Eventually, all of us manage to figure out what this does. We make it do the thing it’s meant to do (What’s it meant to do?).

Well that’s not that easy to kill the scorpion. Please rewrite (it has an exoskeleton). Also, I don’t like the guy selling you this super grenade for free.
The rail gun is a weapon that works with magnets to chuck a massive magnetic ball at almost light speed. This is extremely powerful and most likely the most powerful weapon in what is nicknamed Eutopia (military wise). However, a steady target is needed and it’s very slow to fire. It’s also very difficult to build.
So please rewrite your scorpion combat.

Under my game description… It says “The town of Babylon(who is a person) sits close to Salem, with its residents eager to cause chaos(not even close).”
Can you just change the description to
“Babylon is ready to cause chaos and you have to stop it!”

You see the deadlands. The name lives up to it’s description.
While your soldiers have survived the night by having a few supply them, having some hunters would really have helped. The archers were able to help feed you too.
The deadlands seemed like a desert. It was not exactly sand but a pallid tan dust blew everywhere. What really made this an important place was the remains of many human buildings, black from some cause and able to collapse. In fact, as the army walked into the deadlands, the vibration of their steps and the weakness of the buildings caused one to fall in the distance. A large amount of vultures flew out, one of which flew in your direction. It was shot down immediately and a few hungry soldiers asked a mage to roast it.
With the large amount of vultures here, it posed a threat even WITH the modern weapons.
You trekked into the town, searching for anything of relevance. As you were about to give up, a solider pointed out a passage into the ground. This lead to a dark area. Some soldiers took the lead and helped enter the area safely with surveillance and trap finding (there were no traps). Other soldiers guarded the entrance. All went well until there was a code door. No one knew how to get past it until one solider rammed it down proving superior hacking skills. Some red lights went on temporarily but made only a faint crackling sound for a minute. A solider accidentally presses a button in the room and (to your advantage) seems to turn on the main power. There seems to be a futuristic way of powering this using energy that is not of concern right now. Many panels light up showing the operations for running this thing. However, only a few of every type of unit studied the path of war to know what this is and no one knows how to use it. (Select some soldiers to use this).
As you send those units to start figuring out how to use it, a large rumbling is heard above. Apparently, a massive dune scorpion (about the size of a medium airplane) rises and is ready to strike! (You can come at this however you want, and the railgun has 1 shot in it.)

“Okay. The men will be ready outside the fortress walls.”
As you turn and leave, the Blue Angel calls you over. “I know why you’re here. You want Babylon dead. Well, I’ve heard that he has a massive trick up his sleeve. If I where you, I’d head North up in the deadlands. It’s risky, but there lies a massive machine that was found to be labeled ‘Rail gun’. It’s huge and it isn’t like a normal gun. It should help you fight whatever he is planning. That may be vital on your quest.”
If you decide to head to the deadlands, I will tell you what they really look like and what you see.

To Zack:
A small pack of wolves now escorts you with various abilities. You are now a LOT harder to kill (like, a stab in the heart is not fatal).
You start to head north. You see salem. A small pack of wolves spot you, but they say, “Anything we can do, my master?” (You can say what you did here). As you travel north, you notice an unusual mountain in the forest with, at the peak, a dark sphere of energy. At the top you can just spot a stone on the pedastool, with extremely dark color. (Now you can say how you got it.)

I walk into the Ironridge castle, get escorted to the leader, and give him the Stone and tell him about the loss of his captain.

Sorry, when I said town I meant Ironridge.
“Well… I guess that is why she is here. BLUE ANGEL!” Between you and the king a spiral of holy energy appears and in between a husky-colored cat appears (the same that fought Babylon). “Yes? I heard someone died.” The king had the corpse of EagleEye which was teleported by Fire Breather (the reason he couldn’t teleport you to town was because you were 2 living bodies which is a lot harder to teleport). The Blue Angel walks up to the corpse examining the wound on his pack and starts to heal it in the side of the room. “He will most likely make it. For now, I need the Fire Stone.” You hand him the Fire Stone and places it in a hole in the ground of the castle. A rune lights up and immediately a half-sphere of fire expands from it. It passes through you easily. “It keeps those of malicious heart out of these streets. We should be safe.”
“I now will grant you 100 soldiers of your pick. You CAN also have 1 OTHER commander to help deal with the troops, but they may want a favor because of what happened just to establish trust. (Yes, this is a crappy excuse for a side quest so Babylon can catch up, but you don’t have to have another commander.)

Fire Breather
“Well done boys. You do prove to have remarkable teamwork and honest motives. You may take the stone and return it when you’re done.” He unblocks the stone and hands it to you. Oddly, he doesn’t have a scratch. “You don’t want to just walk out of here do you? And I see you have a friend of ill fate? From what I know the Blue Angel can help. She’ll meet you at the castle.” You soon become encircled in flames and appear to have teleported outside the grove. Walk home and buy stuff now and go to the castle when you’re done.

Babylon:
“Hush. You are weaker than you should be. The angel got away before I could rip her heart out. That would have been so fun… Either way, you were not directly in the conflict. I did give you some… loyalty rewards.” You realize that there is a black rune on your chest enabling you to endure more than the normal being and giving you some dark minor powers in terms of throwing dark shards( more painful than deadly). “Next, you will prove your worth to me. Just north of Salem there is something I need… It will let me unleash my special pet on this land.” You just now notice you are on the southernmost tip of Eutopia, a grim cliff with an obsidian tower. “I will let you take some of my wolves with you. Feel free to do whatever you want to them. >:D And if you die, don’t bother coming back here.”

(Just a heads up, please stop saying you kill the toppest mages of Babylons. You don’t have to change for now, but a toppest mage only appears when I say and do stuff like kill mountains. :/ So yeah, you killed an elite. Not a top one. Still cool though. :D )
The Final Room
What lies in the center of the room is an elegant pedastool holding up a bright red rock that is unusually smooth. However, shielding it is a set of uncutable vines forming a cage. You could just grab it if it weren’t for the incredible boss…
Fire Breather (The Biggest, Baddest Mage Bear in all the Fiery lands)
He is an awesome mage who appears as you approach the pedastool. As he walks forth, the walls turn to flames and the door is blocked with a pillar of fire that will melt anyone within the flames for even but a second. A deep, thundering voice comes from the bear, saying: “I know well why you’re here. The stone cannot belong just to anyone. You have two options. The first is to leave with your life. The second is to fight me and prove your worth. If you seek justice, you will defeat me. If not, the eternal flames of hell will consume you. Choose wisely.”
(You may fight and may or may not win but may not kill him) (Actually I know you’re going to win, :) )

Cool. Would you take offence if I used detonation to blast the center clear of units (because of diplomacy) and use my plague fallacy to teleport there (because of ambush)?

“Yes,sir. We will head off.” We walk down West for a while, eventually finding the Hollow.

(Yes you pick a commander to go with you. :D Also, you get to narrate the dungeon however you want minus the beginning and the final chamber.)
The Hollow seems to be a hole in the ground with wooden doors, making a soft downwards slope that can be traversed both ways. The door was attached to a tripwire before EagleEye fixed that. Inside you see a large lake with light shining in a hole in the ceiling and a group of 5 psychos.

King of Ironridge
“I know that you may be very concerned with the sake of the land, but I cannot trust you yet and leaving our city defenseless while he’s roaming around can lead to many casualties. If you want a bigger force to work with, I need to ask you to retrieve the stone of firewall from the cavern called Gloom Hollow in the west. That should offer us protection while you have the army. I don’t want to let you leave too empty handed, so you can take one of our captains to accompany you. Also, watch out for the psychos who live there. One threatened to use my face as a drug before I cracked his skull.”
The captains have the following traits:
Oracle – A rouge with knives who is an expert on herbs
War Maine – A warrior with a massive battleaxe. Knows little other than combat.
EagleEye – An archer with a knack for hunting and disabling traps.
Siri – An excellent healer who sometimes has a hard time understanding people.
‘Mistress’ – A general all-around, jack of all trades leader who does not have any combat practice

Ironridge Summary
Primary Race: Bears
Has an organized government. Has an army.
This is the main source of power military wise across the western area. The area is a stone fort with a moat. The main reason the area is called Ironridge is because of the heavy use of iron in the fort compared to other cities.
“Babylon?” The king of the land is of course a great bear. The brown coated animal does wear some high-class clothing but is somewhat humble too. “Er… Yes… Babylon…” A servant of the bear holds a book of what seems to be foretold legends. “Let’s see…. Well… Hm…” The book slams and the king starts to speak. “Boys, we can’t honestly be talking about an entire army of wolves?” Another bear speaks up, wearing a suit that signifies military rank. “This would be a great test for our army.”
The king looks again at the 2 men before him. “So it is an army you require? Fine. If it’s for the greater good of the land. Of course, I can’t give the whole thing. You can have a small platoon to escort you on your journey. If you honestly need the whole force, I’ll need a favor.”

“That is why I’m sending you to Ironridge. They have an army that is capable of handling his forces. They are some of the best and only forces in this land…
This land is a Utopia… We can’t lose it. But having an army is just the start. For now, you should just get the support of the army. From there you can find out what to do next. It should be just west of here, but it’s still some distance. I’d get moving, who knows what’s up his sleeve.”
