Due to a shift of focus there are currently no plans for future updates for Survival of the Fittest. We offer our sincere condolences to all the current players, but due to circumstances outside of our control we had to pivot away from developing Survival further.

Today’s patch includes bug fixes and some gameplay tweaks. Details include:

  • Snowball’s Collar bonus decreased.
  • Charge Time now has a minimum limit of 0.25 seconds.
  • Fixed bug with bleed DOTs doing less damage than expected in some cases.
  • Fixed users with long KG usernames that were unable to create characters.
  • Fixed Bear’s Bandage that sometimes healed for less than the right ammount.
  • Fixed error with health regenerating at the start of fights.
  • Re-balanced item gold prices at higher levels.
  • Added more missions to the single player campaign.
  • Added special one-time sale offer with bonus consumables and a character slot!

As of the current patch, deleting characters is now free!

At levels 1 through 10, gold is now earned from the single-player campaign.

Campaign mode is now added! Take on missions in the city of New Drachton, and see if you have what it takes to make a name for yourself in this savage city!

Full Change list includes:

  • Campaign missions added! More to come!
  • Based on feedback, we’ve made deleting characters free!
  • Gold is no longer gained on level up on levels 1 through 10. Instead, gold at those levels is gained through completing campaign missions and Zoucka’s Guide tutorial.
  • Big consumable potions now last an extra 3 fights (5 total).
  • Item prices re-balanced to account for additional cash gained from Campaign Missions.
  • Additional bug fixes.

Additional bug fixes and a small gameplay tweak with the cooldowns.

  • Fixed bug with items that provide flat stat bonuses
  • Items with health regeneration work appropriately
  • Items with life steal work appropriately
  • Snowball’s Collar now accurately updates charge time descriptions
  • Tweaked Roll with the Punches talent for the cat. The talent now decreases damage from all sources (5% for 1 pt, and 10% for 2 pts)
  • Cooldowns now pause to account for player lag when at least one player has updated the fight state.

Bug Fixes ahoy!

  • Stat points now reflect appropriate talents.
  • Endurance is now regenerated while you are in a fight.
  • Investing 3 points in Cat’s Steady Paws talent now gives full 10% bonus.
  • Investing points in Tyrant’ Strength talent for Rex updates critical damage chance stat appropriately.
  • Dodge chance, Hit chance, Critical damage chance now show additional decimal value.
  • Rex’s Reptilian Wrath talent now successfully increases critical damage chance value displayed in stats.
  • Corrected logic for returning stat points of challenger when a challenge is sent to a user.

Sorry to hear that Karyuudan. We know it’s not a perfect solution, and we will continue to improve the game based on user feedback.

@advocatus, @Zshadow sure. But that is not a solution. Users will use whatever browser they need to access sites and IE 8 is one if them. Also, the game needs to work in IE8 too (see kongregate checklist at http://developers.kongregate.com/docs/facebook/submission-checklist under “Other Points”)

Yep, kreds api is enabled. I am able to make dev kred transactions via flash. However, I was under the impression that the web services call back would be fired whether the kreds were bought via flash or JS.

The documentation says that the callback is fired when specific events happen in the Kongregate back end (http://www.kongregate.com/pages/web-services-api-callbacks).

I have an app up (not published yet still in testing) which makes a call to kongregate which uses kreds to buy ingame premium cash. This is supposed to add the premium cash item to the users inventory which is then to be “used” on the app backend. However, the callback is never called. Is it because the game is not published yet? or is it because I am a developer on the app?

Topic: Kongregate APIs / REST API for authentication

They have a Kompatible api which has inbuild functions for validation of the user. You could probably use this for authentication on the backend. However it requires that the user id and game auth token be passed to the backend before authentication takes place.

The kompatible class for kongregate does not seem to be using sessions. Does that mean that if I have two different pages, and I login on say page 1, I would need to call the login function again on page 2 to authenticate the user?
