The current FP forumal is not the greatest reflect of the capabilities of the fleet, and can be improved. It will mean even more with the way alliances are being designed. This is considered a priority right after alliances are done.

Topic: Redshift / Arena being paused

Hi All,

Thanks to everyone for taking part in the arena beta. If was a fun experiment in real-time battle, and a first time en-devour for Clipwire as a company. We feel that the real time battles deserve much more and in its current state, is doesn’t have the draw factor it needs for success.

At the end of this weekly tournament, we are going to pause the mechanic and remove it from the game until further notice as do two things:
1) Continue to focus on alliances, which is progressing very nicely
2) Give real time battling the design attention it needs to be as fun as it should be.

Arena is beta and as of now we are considering suspending it as a feature for now. The pool of active players needs to be higher for this to work the way we intended it to.

Hey all,

Some notes on what ha been asked here so far:

Zoom Lock: Should be there, might be broken, will look in to it.
Damage: We are making all displays DPS in a future release.
Multi Build: Not planned at the momeny as it will have a massive balance impact on the base, but possibly a future thought.
Special Events: I really like this idea, it’s added to the idea pool, perhaps after alliances we can do something.
After Battle News: Can be turned off once you reach 20k fleet power.
Multiple Fleets: We are adding a fair amount of benefit to multiple fleets in Alliances.
Sectors: Have been balanced for single fleet use, so if were to add something, it wouldn’t be for the exsiting sectors.

A lot of interesting stuff in this thread. I’m going to drop a quick note before replying fully later on. One of our main goals it to ensure that a paid and a non-paid user have access to the same things. The planet raid thing was a result of us try to change something else (remember that planet raids used to be impossible for some). We are continuously adjusting and fixing. We still plan on release V3 in a few batches (for alliances) and will likely tackle some of these issues with each build, before shifting our focus to fully making adjustments to these things.

Logic-wise, everything is working in DPS, it just is displays that are raw damage per shot.
