Loads of times. I’ve had this problem for a while now. I suspect it’s a problem with my Java or Flash players.

First things first: my computer is funky. I can’t watch certain YouTube videos or it will tell me to update my flash player- same case with Adult Swim video. Certain links on websites don’t work either.

This link happens to be one of them- I’ve been trapped in Game Theorists for three days now. :/

I click “change” and nothing happens.

Has a recent change been made to the chat API, or something? It worked fine up until about a month ago… about that.

Family Guy’s lack of plot is what makes it Family Guy. You have to have a certain kind of humor to appreciate it, that’s all.

A lot of people share that kind of humor which results in the show’s success.

It’s basically “shut up and watch” humor. You get jokes flying at you every minute, you have no idea what to expect, and the episodes are really just random. That’s what a lot of people like in this day and age.

I myself prefer South Park’s style, but that’s just me. I can appreciate Family Guy too, it gives me some laughs here and there.

But really now, I don’t hate Runescape.

In fact, I used to be addicted to it. That was, oh… three years ago?

Yeah, it was bad. I was really hooked. It was just so incredibly fun.

I got over it, somehow. I just kind of grew out of it, like a favorite piece of clothing.

The thing is, most people who try it see poor graphics and a slow pace, so they think “wow, this is the most overrated garbage in existence”. But if you really give it a chance and get going, you’ll see it’s really not that overrated, and it is in fact a good game.

It’s got horrid graphics, yeah, but it’s Java. As a matter of fact, it’s the best Java game I’ve ever played.

And that’s my opinion.

First of all, to the original poster, I’d take you more seriously if you didn’t portray yourself as a twelve year old Sony fanboy.

And about Mario sucking, that’s a matter of opinion.

I’ll agree with you that Nintendo needs to create some new franchises and stop recycling Mario so much, but that doesn’t mean the Super Mario franchise is bad.

Have you even played Galaxy, first of all? It’s amazing. And since you’re complaining about the Wii’s graphics and claiming they’re equivalent to that of the N64, I assume that no, you really haven’t given Galaxy a chance.

The game is beautiful, and fun as hell.

Please go smarten up before I continue this conversation, though it’ll probably end up locked anyways due to flame wars.

dark_hawk000: I have played and beaten OoT. I love the game, don’t get me wrong, I just think it’s a bit too overrated. It’s not really even that, it’s what I said in my last post:

“I mean Ocarina of Time was so great because nobody had ever seen anything like it. It’s pretty much impossible for any Zelda game to make that much of a splash again, so maybe people need to be more reasonable.”

It’s a great game, yes, but people can’t compare every damn title to it.

lewisgn: Yeah, Windwaker just made me fall in love with it- don’t ask me how because I don’t honestly know. XD A lot of people hated sailing but I found it enjoyable and realistic. I agree with you regarding Phantom Hourglass- it felt like a gimmick.

xClawed: aLttP is a great game, one of my favorites (after Windwaker). I enjoyed it but it can get frustrating. :P

Twilight Princess was disappointing in terms of difficulty, and I found the Wii sword controls disappointing. It was a good game though, it introduced a lot of new things.

And yeah, Phantom Hourglass just didn’t feel like a traditional Zelda game to me. From the small things (chests opening instantly, and not having the beloved suspense music) to the larger things (disappointing plot). I think Nintendo was just trying out Zelda on the DS- it was more of a test of controls then an actual game to me, maybe that’s why they made it minor (plotwise) in the Zelda timeline.

I think Ocarina of Time is way too overrated.

Phantom Hourglass was a big disappointment.

Windwaker, despite it’s bad reputation, is my favorite LoZ title. It surpasses Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, and A Link to the Past IMO.

There are rumors of the next Zelda title not featuring Link and having a steam theme- muskets, trains, etc… The title of this rumored game is “Valley of the Deluge” or “Valley of the Flood”. It supposedly takes place in a dark Hyrule, when Link was missing (Windwaker intro explains this time period).

Topic: Kongregate / Kongregate API

That might result in people stealing the game and uploading it WITH the API. Might do more damage than good…

I’ve seen stupider.

The Myspace chain bulletins are especially stupid- I once read a bulletin that told me if I didn’t repost it, a zombie-something would appear in my room with a can opener.

I have to admit it was actually pretty funny. God help us if can opener-wielding zombies get loose!

As for Hotmail, yeah, there’s A LOT of spam. I like Gmail a lot- one of the reasons is because of its kickass spam filter. I have never received one spam letter in my main mail, it all gets sent to the spam folder and is automatically deleted after 30 days.

Topic: Kongregate / is it against the rules to make multiple accounts

As has been said, there really isn’t anything that can be done to you if you have an alternate account (unless you go around making it obvious). Also, you can’t use them to gain an unfair advantage over other users- such as making alts for the referral points (like you wish to do).

In other words, an alternate account for the sake of having an alt is ok, but alt abuse is bad. If we find out about it, it won’t be fun.

I’ve told this to every single freshman whose ever needed help, and it always works. (Even worked on me.)

Focus on your schoolwork, and only your schoolwork. Get through the day by working hard and looking forward to going home. Eventually, friends fall into place.

Trust me. Might sound crazy but there really isn’t a lot of effort in finding friends- just focus on work and your potential friends will find you.

Are there clubs at your school? You could also join some clubs you’re into to find friends with a common hobby.
