If you use noscript, or other javascript blockers, you have to add kongcdn.com to the whitelist or the site won’t work.

I hate badges where you basically finished the game, but didn’t do it “xx” enough. Fast enough, few enough deaths, things like that.

Puzzle games where the badge wants you to do it fast. The puzzle is the game. Doing it fast is just memorization – memorization is not part of the game, yet the badge insists on it. Example: Open Doors 2 – just because the game tracks time doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

An example is the hard badge of Qoosh – I finished the game, I don’t really want to play it again just to minimize my warps.

Where it’s not actually a game. A pixel hunt is the best example: for example the game Pyro or Gravitee Gravitee is a game, but the impossible badge is not – it’s a pixel hunt.

Then you have horrible “games” like Mardi Gras Mayhem – it’s not actually a game. I “played” the entire thing by putting something on my space bar and walking away. Homerun In Berzerk Land: Berzerk Ball is the same type – you “play” the game by making your mouse click every 2 seconds and walking away.

That’s not an example of a bad badge exactly (so maybe I shouldn’t have included it), but of course if the game is bad the badge doesn’t help.

And the final thing is overdoing it: When the badge wants you to finish absolutely everything. Just because it’s a hard badge doesn’t mean it should mean completion. (At least that’s what I think, perhaps you disagree.) Games tend to “over like” themself – they think if having a few levels is fun, then lots is way more fun. It’s not so. For the game designer to do that is excusable, but the badges should not go along with that.

That is exactly what they did at first with unity games: No BOTD or Challenges. And now Unity games can get those. So even if downloaded games are at first excluded from that, there is no guarantee it will stay that way.

You won’t have the folder unless you play a game that uses it.

Phoenix00017 can you at least post a list of what we should expect in each game at each package level? So I/we can at least tell if we got the items? I’ve never played these games before, I have no idea what I would normally get vs via the package.

You can buy credits (or whatever the name in some game is for them) in a game that allows transferring them. Make a bunch of alts, buy credits in a game and send them all to your main player.

I’ve had an account since Sep 2008, but I’ve played here longer than that.

When I first started I had no idea what the chat and achievements window was for and always got irritated with it since I just wanted the game. Then I registered and it made more sense.

Yes, I know all about that this time, but I prefer to go through games without codes/special names/glitches/etc.

I’m not sure what good medium/easy badges are since I didn’t note what my stats were at reasonable points in the game.

For level 12 start your build like this:

One you get some more money add additional towers like this (sorry I can’t show all towers at once):

Note: You must build the Totems last, and you must press shift while placing all 4! Otherwise you will only be able to place 3 of them.

Also: The start is a bit hard, you will need some spells. But once things get going it’s trivially easy, so don’t worry about using up your mana at the start.

Buld the 3rd tower as soon as you have cash for it. Then upgrade the camp, then upgrade the 3 towers. Once you’ve done the second to last upgrade (i.e. not venom or frost), start building and upgrading the last 2 towers.

I’m on Windows 7 and use Google Chrome. I’ve edited the hosts file but I have no idea if I did it right…So if anyone could help, it’d be much appreciated. :)

See if the instruction here help: http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file/ by default the hosts file is hidden so you might not be able to find it.

Except I didn’t actually pick – I simply clicked the first one in the list, which auto-awarded me Aliens. And a lot of people are going to automatically get Marines because of the two new badges you just added – people will click to play it and automatically get Marines.

Picking a side should be more of an active choice.

The hardest part is guessing which was to press, left or right when you more or less in the center of the planet. Is there an alternate thing you can do and still keep your combo? (If you are not moving fast enought to smash it.)

The BOTD is Agony: The Portal – Demise of Species Badge (hard – 30 points).

Am I reading this right? To get this badge, first I have to get to level 15 to unlock darwin mode, then play darwin mode to level 82?

And this is considered doable in a single day?

Maybe this will prompt me to finally get that last hard badge. I have 35 golds, I just need to serve 15 more pizzas to Papa.

Edit: I can NOT believe how much time I spent on this game, only to discover there is a cheat that takes you right to where I’m holding: Serve 15 pizzas to papa and you are done.

I guess all those who want the BOTD can get it easily by using the cheat.

And that totally cheapens all the work I did playing this game. (Did I really just call playing a game work?)

Grr Unity. This is going to be one of the few BOTD I don’t get.

Topic: General Gaming / American Racing is actually a vampire game, not a racing game.

American Racing is actually a vampire game, not a racing game. You go behind a car and feed boost from it by drafting.

Then you boost till you reach the next herd of cars – making sure not to run out of food (AKA boost). Then feed some more till you have enough to reach the next herd.

The enemy in the game in not the other cars (they are the prey), the enemy is the road that constantly tries to throw you off, and shake you off of your prey. I guess the road is trying to protect them?

And not an “easy” hard badge either! It has a very large luck component. If you don’t have it yet, you better start early. The only “good” part is there is no grinding – you can get it on your first run, you just have to get the right sequence of upgrades. (Especially the gold ticket and the divine edge.)
