Topic: SAS: Zombie Assault 4 / A List of Good Weapons to Keep for Newbies

Originally posted by MrSecretAsianMan:

Hi everyone, I wanted to start a tutorial thread of all the Weapons a new player should keep. This post will become a long list of all the things a player should keep that I shall add to over time until it’s become a useful resource.

If you’ve got any good ideas for weapons new players should keep, please list them here in the following format:

Name of Weapon:
Type (Assault Rifle, etc)
Manufacturer:
Prefered Upgrades: (Deadly, Pinpoint, Etc)
Reasons why to keep:

If you want to dispute any of the weapons listed, quote the original suggestor of that weapon and ONLY the weapon you want to dispute if they posted more than one, then list reasons why that weapon isn’t worth keeping. Please exclude any “basic” weapons (HVM 002, etc). Thanks for contributing!

Current List:

Mustang
Sidearm/Shotgun
Manufactured by Shotlite
Preferred Upgrades: Damage, Crit, Reload Speed
Reasons why you should keep it: As a sidearm that acts as a Shotgum, the Mustang is a useful weapon to keep on hand for clearing out crowds low-level zombies and for needling bigger, tougher zombies with multiple bullets. Although it only holds two rounds before reloading, as a sidearm it has no affect on your movement and can be used to Kite decently during boss fights. Contrary to first opinions, each pellet (out of 8) deals 60 damage, equalling a pretty nice 480 damage if all pellets hit.

Any Shotlite Weapon is a good weapon to keep. All have >5% movement penalty, and are perfect for kiting.

From all the robots that were in action films, they would fail miserably. But this “Terminator” Is a skeletal solid robotic dude that takes form of an organic humanoid that is soo badass.

I’m Ace today i’m going to be introducing to you.. THE “Terminator”..
http://postmyimage.com/img2/952_Buinessman_tn.jpg
[“Like a badass”]

[Background]

The “Terminator” weighs over 172 Kg / 500 lbs and stands over 1.88 m / “6.5” feet

Will be fought in 20-30+ levels

[Arsenal]

The “Terminator” has a:
Chaingun
Type: Physical
Which fires bullets at over 11.0 rps.
Normal Savage

And the “Terminator” also has a:

[Weaknesses]
The “Terminator” may be the perfect killing machine. But it is weak:

Weak against energy which disrupts the system
Weak against snipers and bazookas
Slow against cyro grenades.

Well this is my suggestion for a new boss.

Like 4 years ago,I played a game in which you were a pixel who led a revolution against some more pixels. You travel around, freeing pixels and every level ended with a battle,or two.

Do not use the chat and pretend that you are out of the computer.

You can also use an ordinary pistol for a while and loot with your teammates

I keep my Ronson 45,even though I have a RED mustang, and a RED Ronson 45,just in case i got little money. Also,I keep guns that cost very little to get ammo, mainly smgs (not red).

Also,a lot of people are quitting this game (both on NK and here), so there are less people around to have a match with.

Would it be wise for us to restart our characters with this new feature? More specifically, would a new character starting at level 1 be more likely to get better weapons sooner with this mastery addition?

Dude, considering how far you’ve gone/might have gone, dont restart. That would just make for moar hours of frustrating lvling up.

Non-class specific skills can be gotten by augments. Don’t worry about physical, chemical,or thermal defense. Movement speed is always more important.
For Shotguns, the dmg on the gun shows the dmg of each flechette.

It always has effect, I think. They just deal damage and take it away again lol

My point of the discussion was that it should be a manual instead of passive effect. I don’t want it going off as im surrounded and getting wrecked.

Topic: SAS: Zombie Assault 4 / Combat Medic Build

You need to be fast if your weapons can’t kill the zed. Even if they can, outflanking helps save your arse. I accidentally (a noobish mistake) put 1 point in bad blood, very, very bad idea. FF is good,if you just put 1 point in it. All non-medic skills can be upgraded (temporarily) using armour augments. If you remove the armour, you remove the augments. But don’t let that shy you away from putting points in movement speed, or recovery time. I put some points in recovery time, because i don’t usually get revived by others.

Topic: SAS: Zombie Assault 4 / Stim Shot

Hey Guys,I love the Stim Shot. However, sometimes, when I am about to die, such as getting wrecked by dark minion runners, the stim shot gets used, but has no effect, because they just kill me 1/2 a second later. Then, when I respawn, I need to wait another 90-odd seconds to even get soem health. 90+ seconds is a long, long time.

Thats what I thought, Wav. There is a lot of misinformation about classes for some reason. I have a heavy and an assault- there are no differences in the classes except for the skills, and all classes have access to the movement skill. Heavies actually have a greater potential to be faster than other classes due to the Heavy Gear talent.

But you could either upgrade the heavy gear talent,or movment speed,or anything else, like DAD,or AB.
