Topic: Anti-Idle: The Game / [Guide] Epic Skills

Today I decided to check in on anti-idle’s forums, and I learned that my guide was out of date. Well, that wouldn’t stand…so I fixed it up. Values updated to reflect the new cheaper price, and added in info about the perk and quest. Hopefully this’ll stay up to date for quite a while, and continue to help those who enjoy having information.

Battle Arena & Fishing Lag

When attempting to fight in the Battle Arena, the game lags so badly it is impossible to pick up any items, and difficult to even leave the battle arena. There is a several second delay between actions and seeing it happen in game. I have also been having problems with attempting to sell/recycle items in Fishing. I have not noticed it in any other parts of the game. Other games on Kongregate do not lag either; neither do any other websites. I have tried refreshing the webpage (several times), restarting the computer (again, several times) and even defragmenting my hard drive just to make sure it is not my computer. The problem persists and it is only in game.

Such an annoying problem. It’s caused by an update in flash which somehow makes things significantly worse instead of better. Try this link. Downgrading should fix everything up.

But yeah of course i always use 2x, have similar or actually higher reward stats, i dont actually use the exp temp perks though, and i have almost every useful perm perk now (at least for levelling). Maybe it comes down to adventure spam or something else weird. Also you said this “usually to level 2000 or till I feel like—it doesn’t take that long. Then semi-idle HC NCI/PC or idle PC with dark ruler”. That seemed to indicate at level 2000 you went to PC or NCI? Anyway, im just trying to understand how you went so fast. Cuz i already spend way too much time on this game and it just amazes me how some people blow me away speed wise, like they have these uber powerful secrets that i know nothing about somehow

Aside from overlooking some obvious difference between your two strategies, there’s also the possibility that you’ve just not played near as long as he has. Feel free to compare Play Times, and see if that solves your problem.

If you do lots of shots, might want to link them instead of post the full picture. that’ll get crowded fast.

Also, you’re missing a step. When you reach the 1.5x multiplier, the 1.3x one still applies first. You get both. After factoring that in with the score/25, I got 18,464. Which is actually one off. weirdness.
Randomfruit is definitely /500. Fertilizer looks the same as mega, in that it rounds up now instead of down. Which would explain why you have one despite the score.
This new data really helps. Thanks :D
Edit: Updated the main guide to show sections that haven’t been fixed yet. I went ahead and said that gardener is fixed, though there may still be a detail or two that needs ironing out.

I propose the following changes to gardener’s formula based on Alman’s testimony. If anyone can prove these right or wrong, or offer any changes of their own, please do post here.

Anyway, Gardener:
Garden Points went from (score / 10) to (score / 25). The multiplier bonuses apply as they did before.
Mega Fertilizer seems to have gone from floor(score / 100,000) to ceil(score / 500,000). An odd change, but it fits the data nicely enough.
I would also assume that fertilizer suffered a similar change, but I can’t figure out exactly, since it is maxed in that picture.

Simple lag. The game incorrectly tracks the location of the mouse, so even though you’re over the loot, it doesn’t get picked up. I had a lot of experience with this before I downgraded flash.

Also remember that sometimes you just can’t handle a zone. If nothing you do works, then simply wait and level up for a while first. It’s a long game, and the time between one zone and the next gets longer every time you advance.

If you’re aiming for the highest score possible, then yes, idle as much as possible. The formula calls for “Activity”, but in the case of Idler, it’s actually Inactivity you want. So long as you’re gaining career exp, you’re doing the right thing.

Online time vs offline time is part of the math. If you’re offline a great deal more, then you have a multplier that goes down and lowers your potential score. That’s all I’ll say for now, as I do plan to explain some of the harder to understand math involved with the post I linked. And maybe I’ll do the easy parts too, just so I don’t get the inevitable questions.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. If you mean “amount is always score/10” or something to that effect, then no. Many values have their own multipliers. A cursory glance shows /20, /25, /500. things like that.

Yes. There’s now a performance bar while a business is activated. I could use some confirmation, but I have an initial guess as to how it works.

Blue Bar: 0 – 1,000 score
Green Bar: 1,001 – 10,000 score
Yellow Bar: 10,001 – 100,000 score
Orange Bar: 100,001 – 1,000,000 score

The one time so far I’ve tested supports this theory. But like I said, confirmation would be nice. This also doesn’t keep track of anything from 1 mil to 100 mil, which is a bit odd. Maybe Tukkun doesn’t expect anyone to reach that high :P

When you reach level 1000, you can access the Business feature from the world drop–down menu. There are 12 of them available, named after their respective Careers. You can select one Business at a time. It’s free too! When a Business is selected, you can do things related to it (or simply wait, or even go offline!) to progress in that Business. When you choose to end the Business, you will gain EXP, Coins, Career EXP, and special rewards based on the Business you choose.

All of this comes directly from the original description of Businesses, and describes the general concept fairly well. You start any business, and while it’s on, the more things related to that business/career you do, the better overall score you will get. Then you turn it off and claim the rewards. Rinse and repeat.

Courtesy of Majildian is the math behind Businesses. Any section marked with a – is one that has been changed recently, and not corrected yet.

“Activity” helps determine your score. Whenever you would gain career exp, you gain an equal amount of activity. If the career is active or blessed, you gain double activity.

All times referred to here are seconds only. Online Time is how long you have been online while the business was activated. Offline Time is how long you have been offline while the business was activated.

There are three multipliers in the score formula. The first is equal to Online Time / (Offline Time + 1800). The second is equal to Activity / (Online Time + 1800). The third is equal to the level of the relevant career / 100. The first has a minimum of 0.5, the second and third have a minimum of 0.25. All of them have a maximum of 1.

Your score is equal to floor( [Activity ^ 0.97 * 10 + Online Time ^ 0.9 * 4 + Offline Time ^ 0.7] * mult1 * mult2 * mult3 / 15). This has a maximum of 100 million.

Coin gained is equal to floor(score * 9999 * level / 9001). Exp gained is equal to floor(score * 6999 * level / 9001). Neither are affected by any modifications to exp/coin gained aside from the level 9001 decrease (0.01x).

Career exp gained is equal to your score.

Idler Rewards-

If score is 1k or higher, you gain reward progress equal to score. If score is 10k or higher, the amount is multiplied by 1.3. If score is 100k or higher, it is then multiplied by 1.5. Maximum of 1 million.

If score is 10k or higher, you gain temp boosts equal to floor(score / 10000) with a maximum of 800.

If score is 100k or higher, you gain temp elite boosts equal to floor(score / 100000) * 2 with a maximum of 300.

Otherwise you gain Crafting Material equal to floor(score * 25) with a maximum of 1.5 billion. If score is 10k or higher, the amount is multiplied by 1.3. If the score is 100k or higher, the amount is then multiplied by 1.5.

If score is 10k or higher, you have a 30% chance of gaining Crystals of Rarity equal to ceil(score / 50000) with a maximum of 999. Otherwise you gain Superior Crafting Material equal to floor(score / 10000) with a maximum of 10k.

There is a Performance Bar while you have a business running. This is an excellent way to predict the rewards you will get, and when to turn in the business for them. The bars are color-coded, and each color takes a different amount of score to fill. It goes like this:
Blue Bar: 0 – 1,000 score
Green Bar: 1,001 – 10,000 score
Yellow Bar: 10,001 – 100,000 score
Orange Bar: 100,001 – 1,000,000 score
You do have to be a little careful, because the maximum score is 100 million, and this counter stops at 1.

Also of note is a calculator for business scores made by chessdude111. It can be found here.

Businesses are tied very closely with Careers. Aurian’s Career Guide can be very useful too. Do check it out.

That’s all for now. Let me know if anything should be added or changed.

This is good work. You’ve been on a roll recently :D

I found this looking through the career guide thread. It’s basically the same idea, done a bit differently. Instead of a chart, it’s a quick math problem (quick if you have a calculator/are a genius), and for people who don’t like downloading things, this doesn’t require it.

That formula will give you a potentially confusing number. To make sense of it, you really only need the two numbers before and after the decimal. That’s the % complete you are. Have fun with it :D

All the way up to senior year, I was always the math girl. Top or second in any math class, and I honestly enjoyed the work. Some of my teachers had issue with the fact that I did most of the work in my head and wrote little down.
But that’s not what math master is about. There’s a limit to how complicated the questions can be. Instead, the challenge is pure speed. Which takes a completely different power. Obviously some people here have it. But it’s pretty dang rare.

To sum up what it says in Majildian’s post, you need to get the score up to 100k or higher to start earning High Scores that way. And that’s just for three of the games (MS/B3/TC). It picks one at random to attach the score to. Then if you pass 1 Million, you get a second bonus, to one of the other four games. The better the score once it passes that mark, the more the high score will rise.
So the end problem is in finding a way to get your business score all the way to a mil. And even then you’ve got a 1/4 chance of hitting the game you want. So…. Good luck?

Are you sure about this? It does make some sense, but I got the impression the caps were simply the amount it could raise in one claim. Why include such a score-raising feature that’s so hard to get, if you still have to earn the real S-rank score yourself anyway? It seems massively pointless to me.
