They both disappear into the ground just as my sword bites into the dirt, the energy from it being released and creating a small explosion of electricity and fire to surround me.
“Goddammit!” I growl in anger, having let them get away. My head snaps towards the remaining woman that Babatunde was fighting. I pull my sword from the dirt and turn my sights on her. Her back was to me as I began closing the distance, hoping to drive my sword through her back.

[Man, pianos are loud when they break, I fucked one up with a sledgehammer one day at work.]
Kania Thyssen

The first bullet deflects off my shield, I know it cannot handle much more, perhaps not even another strike. No matter, I was within striking distance of the stunned woman, one swing of my blade and I’d sever her head from her shoulders. She dodged away clumsily, a stupid idea, it would serve to only prolong her life for just a moment. It hit me that she wasn’t dodging me, but something else, I sensed something large falling from the sky towards me. I dive clumsily and desperately out of the way, hitting the ground hard as a piano smashes into the dirt.
“What the fuck?” I say in a perplexed voice.

Babatunde’s magic washed over me once again and I became invisible to their eyes. I quickly climb to my feet and begin a sprint at the woman and the man that was inexplicably hugging her now. I leap onto the broken piano and use it to boost my ump once again, with my sword in a downward position, hoping to impale one of them. My sword shot to life with a mix of fire and electricity which revealed myself to them but I didn’t care, this woman was starting to agitate me and she will suffer.

She’ll have to be much faster than that, a tree is a rather slow weapon and I was a rather fast person. I sensed the magic behind me and even if I didn’t, the cracking of the wood and sound of it being uprooted easily gave it away. I dive from my current position, break into a roll and shoot a quick bolt of lightning at the woman, just enough to distract her as I begin to close the distance.

Babatunde chokeslams the man that foolishly attempted to strike him and he disappears, odd, I can still sense his presence and so can Kat, who was he trying to fool? I start to wonder why he didn’t just kill the man, he had the chance but passed it up. I think it was because he was a stranger, not involved in the destruction this group has brought. For the most part he seemed harmless, Babatunde is probably right, there was no reason to kill him. Kat on the other hand…

While Luaren is tied up with Babatunde I take the opportunity to attack Kat. Since she has some form of fire magic I decide riding the lightning may be my best option. My sword sparks to life and I move in cautiously to engage Kat, making sure to not get surprised.

The ice mage launches a barrage of shards my way, but since she cannot see me clearly, most are off the mark. One is aimed right at me, but it hits my shield and shatters. An evil smile spreads across my face, she doesn’t stand a chance. My smile disappears as my horse gives out from underneath me and sends me head first into the ground. I deftly break my fall with a roll to avoid any serious damage, my horse wasn’t so fortunate as he lay with a shard of ice in his throat. As I get to my feet I realize I am no longer cloaked and the trio can now see me clearly. No matter. I have gotten this far without invisibility. I pick up my sword from the dirt and prepare to attack again.

[I don’t know if the deer looks organic or if it’s made of steel.]
Kania Thyssen

My senses tell me the black woman is the strongest of the bunch, if I could dispatch her quickly this battle will be much easier than I thought it would be. I raise my sword and move in the hopefully lop off her head but she suddenly stands and alerts her companions to our presence, she swerves the deer our of the path of Babatunde’s spike wall, narrowly missing it. I sense strong magic about to surface and jerk the reins of my stallion to avoid it. The deer contraption engulfs into a large ball of flame, blocking us from their sights. Why does it always have to be fire? I hear six ear-shattering gunshots from behind as Babatunde unloads his gun at the inferno. The bullets hit something inside the car, but not flesh as he was hoping, all six bullets reflect out of the flames just as quick as they entered, I even jolt with surprise as one of them strikes a tree right next to my head with a loud crack.

I don’t know if their arcane vehicle is composed of flesh, steel or just pure energy, but if I were to bet I’d say Count Dorkula drew this, which mean it is susceptible to water, too bad we can’t use that advantage at the moment. Babatunde uses his magic to attempt to slow down the car, I had a better idea. A bolt of lightning shoots from my hand, a continuous stream attacking their vehicle, either to kill the beast or perhaps fry whatever powers it.

What Cat said, while they are a direct detriment to the group they still accidentally helped the cause by killing the mercenary.

Also regarding me controlling both characters, me and Jimbo have an understanding and usually a rough outline of a plot we follow.

The irony is that we’re 750 posts in and the only two characters to have done anything to help Applebottom’s cause are Kania and Babatunde, they’re also the only two characters actively trying to kill members of the group.

Kat and Kania’s powers are actually pretty different, Kat can literally see when people use their powers while Kania can only sense them. Also, I can see Babatunde better than everyone else where I’m also under his spell, where I see a shadowy figure, everyone else sees literally nothing. But the wall went up instantly, Kania knew she couldn’t completely sneak up on you but she was hoping with the surprise of a wall and the speed of her horse she could have some sort of element of surprise.

I hesitantly approach the stallion, I was completely content to let these beast pull the wagon, but to ride one was a different story. There was still a pain in my leg, but thanks to the medical supplies I bought it was starting to dissipate. I climb atop my mount nervously, it has been years since I’ve rode, but in my younger years I was a rather skilled rider and they say riding a horse is a skill you never forget, let us hope.

Babatunde races off before I was completely on, but my horse bolts after him, almost sending me flying from it. I quickly gain my composure and fall in line with my companion. We come across this abomination that they called transportation, and I thought our wagon was bad at first but I had to say, it was starting to grow on me. Just before the group could spot us, this strange feeling washed over me and I had a cold shiver run down my spine. I turn to Babatunde to see if he felt it as well, but he had a much different look to him. His complexion, while normally coal-black, was now even darker and had a murky coating, impossible to focus on. I looked to my own stallion and it shared the same aesthetic, even my hands that gripped the reins were murky and black as pitch. I remember his powers from our earlier fight, invisibility in the darkness, I never thought he could extend that to other people as well, invisibility was always a power I was envious of.

A large, shadowy spiked wall juts from the ground some distance from the deer car putting them between a rock and a hard place, considering I was coming up beside them with my sword raised, ready to kill.

As we watched the group from the safety of our damaged wagon, we began to devise a plan.
“There’s no way we can take them all at once.” I say. “We should wait until they split up, I can’t see them staying together long.” Almost as soon as said that we see one of them split away from the group. It was the wealthy man from before that, from my limited knowledge, I find unbearable.
“That one is different, the blond weird one, his name is…” I struggle to find the name in my memory. “Richard Trussels? That sounds right.”
“No no no.” Babtunde interjects, slowly shaking his head. “Ricky Trundle is his name.” He corrects.
“That doesn’t sound right at all, but I don’t know enough about him to debate you.”

As we are discussing our former companion another one begins to split, I notice another one. I could sense him using magic and immediately identify him as Count Dorkula.
I turn to Babatunde and say “Perhaps this is a good jumping off point.”

Did she not know of our betrayal? I would think you’d have to be rather daft to miss that, considering how obvious Babatunde’s betrayal was. In a very cheery voice she tells us her intentions and even offers us a way of getting there, which was in the form of some sort of wave. Memories of me almost drowning we still fresh in my mind so I think I’ll have to decline this invitation, not like I had any intention to accept. One look at my companion and it’s clear to see he echoes my sentiment, besides, I think he has grown too attached to his wagon. This woman’s slight destruction of our wagon seemed to leave Babatunde annoyed, and me as well in fact, we had a perfectly good wagon and taking the roof out of it was completely unnecessary.

“Let’s go.” I say to Babtunde as we finish loading up the wagon and we get ready to set off into the city to pursue Heart of Glass and the rest of Applebottom’s destructive crew. I take a first-aid kit from our stockpile. I bought enough supplies so when the shit goes down, we are in fact ready.

Jimbo, I think you’ve put more effort into comparing Scooby Doo to a horse you made up recently than you have into anything else. Also, I was kinda mad at the comparison to Velma, but then I thought about it and it made sense, which made me even more mad at it.

I curse in a harsh tone, I know what comes next. I leap to my feet and try to distance myself from the blast. Babatunde still looks unaware of the danger. I attempt to dive over a table and use it as cover to shield me from the blast but I was too late, I could feel my body be propelled through the air.

I don’t rightly know what happened next, everything went black before I hit the wall. I blacked out for a handful of seconds and came to in a pile of debris of barstools and tables. I tried to move but everything hurt, the explosion broke my shield which is what saved my life, but it broke before it could protect from all the shrapnel that shredded my skin. I pulled a few large splinters from my leg and slowly climb to my feet. I try to take a step but my leg gives out and I catch myself on the bar before I hit the floor. I collapse onto one of the few remaining barstools and run my ringers through my hair with an agonized look upon my face. Babatunde strolls over with a bottle of rum and informs me of the situation. I wasn’t grateful for the bad news he brought, but I was grateful for the liquor. Rum was one of my vices, I’m guessing there’s some Irish blood in me somewhere for that regard. I needed it to dull the pain shooting from my leg.

I began to follow Babatunde, but decided it would be a shame to leave all these wonderful drinks her for no one to enjoy. I meet Babatunde outside with an armful of liquor, loaded the wagon up with our most important supplies and get ready to set out.

I follow my partner into the bar where we meet our purple-suited companion. Babatunde requested a revolver, which is an odd request for someone who can make weapons out of nothing. The bar was deserted, save for a few drunkards playing cards. I look to see the friendly bartender from before and realize it has been quite some time since I have had any form of drink, and considering I almost executed an elderly lady, drowned in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and burned down a pretty luxurious hotel. All in the span of two days.

“Bartender, give me the strongest drink you have.” I turn to Babatunde and nod. “… And one for this gentleman as well.”
“Alright, alright, alright.” He says with a wide smile as he turns to fetch my drinks. I began to think about our situation, evil pitted against evil with both sides believing themselves the good guys. Although I harbor hatred for our former group for the destruction and death caused on the ship, I must remember this man was originally tasked with the death of me and the rest of the passengers. He was a fool to trust us.

I draw my sword and electricity sparks through the blade, the runes on the steel lighting up with a magical blue glow. You Dropped a Bomb On Me tensed for just a split second, perhaps he had heard my attack coming. No matter, the second he turned his back to me it was too late. I drive my sword hard through his ribs, his muscles tense and he lets out a gasp, which is quickly stifled by my flaming hand covering his mouth.

Really don’t care if anyone reads this, but this is the first time I’ve felt the need to have a fucking rant because I got fucked this week.

Got my first paycheck, 750 bucks. Spent over 300 on that on my phone bill, my contract ran up and they decided to not tell me and instead charge me for every call, text and bit of data I used. After deciding that Virgin Mobile is a parasitic fucking company I decided with a different carrier (Who were offering literally double what Virgin was for 20 dollars cheaper.) but guess what? There is a fee to unlock my phone, despite paying hundreds of dollars on the phone and owning it myself. Fine, another 50 bucks. But guess what? They still haven’t unlocked it. I need that phone for my job or else I may be fired. They also refuse to answer any calls and put me on hold for 3 hours.

Also decided to spend a bit of money on a pair of headphones that make my job a lot easier, 60 bucks for iPhone 5 headphones with a two year extended warranty. Opened them and the left headphone does not work. Brought them back and they pretty much said “We can’t do anything, the first year warranty is through Apple, deal with them.” Go to the Apple store and they say “We have no idea why the Source is sending people here, these headphones have no warranty.” So I bought defective headphones and the Source will not take responsibility for it. I asked for a refund under their “Any product can be returned in two weeks for ‘customer satisfaction reasons’” The only exception to that rule? Earbud headphones. The defective headphones that I got to put in my ears once were “unhygienic” and couldn’t be resold.

Top the week off, someone bought the fucking Mutombo I had my eyes on. He would have been the perfect compliment to my team, a great defensive center with amazing rebounding and a good standing dunk? Sign me up. But the second before I bought him someone else did and now I don’t have Mutombo. Fuck.

Babatunde hands me a wheel suddenly and quickly runs off after telling me what to do with it.
“How about you do it yourself…” I say, but he was already gone and didn’t hear me. I debated not putting the wheel on, because of his attitude but I conceded that would be childish. I could sense Babatunde coming back, but I sensed something much stronger than just Babatunde. I look up from my assembly of the wagon and see him leading two midnight stallions towards us.
“That’s…” I was frankly shocked, I never knew a shadow manipulator that could create sentient being.
“… Helpful.” I finish, I wanted to say something scathing and sarcastic but I was too surprised by his horses that it ended up being a a farcry from my usual self.
