Doubtful, Hadrian leeches lifeforce from Antoine, keeping him somewhat alive or at the least protected by Antoine. Hadrian can sever this bond temporarily, at which point he becomes sort of like a wraith.

After some embarrassing failures in locating the hotel stemming from a strong pride that refused to ask for directions, Hadrian made clear the fact that I could navigate the dense forests of Ontario with ease but I was a mess when it came to London. We finally arrived at the hotel and asked for room 1.5, then we were quickly escorted to the room. Just before we were about to enter, Hadrian emerges from me, and puts his hand to my chest to halt my movement, his wide smile makes me wince knowing he was going to say something ridiculous.
“Hear me out brother, what if we went in there as if we were two different people, imagine their surprise!” He says deviously
“But we are two different people.” I reply
He sighs, some of his excitement deflated “You know what I mean, Antoine.” He seems to have a plan so I just go along with it.

We open the doors to the room, Hadrian looking nearly pristine with his high class suit and clean appearance. I, on the other hand looked the opposite, my thick red coat had seen many years of use and has been stitched a handful of times. To my credit, I did agree to trim up my beard quite a bit before we came to London, but was completely unwilling to give up too much length so it didn’t matter to much. We both found Ms. Applebottom, who gave us two contracts to sign, saying they were a safeguard against us speaking about our mission, she made sure to assure Hadrian that he also had to sign it, perhaps sensing that his mouth would be the one to get us all into trouble. We both sign the contract and are quickly briefed on the mission, which honestly seemed like far too much for me and Hadrian to handle. I looked over the group that had been gathered here. Jesus Christ was I could think.

“Well Mrs. Applebottom it seems you have given us an offer we can’t refuse, but I do believe you mentioned something about elaborating on exactly what type of danger we’d find ourselves in in this little adventure.”

Remember when the Hunger Games came out and there was that huge craze about it? I was always surprised they never made a game about it, I always thought it was a cool concept. This looks like it has some potential.

Bah, French. I’ve come to hate that language, despite constant attempts to teach me I could never become even a shred fluent in the damned language, now it just grated my nerves every time I hear it. I knew he’d make good on his threat, if only for a little while so as my brother nudges me out of the woman’s way I decide to lean myself against the wall in silence, with my arms crossed and a very unkind look upon my face. Dead men don’t get the flu, asshole I reminded Hadrian.

Hadrian’s blatant jabs at my character did little to improve my mood, but I let him talk, it was about the only thing he did and it was surely the only thing he was good at. I didn’t trust this woman, she knew too much about us and we knew nary a thing about her, she obviously wanted something, and somehow I got the feeling this ‘something’ will be a lot more trouble than what we get in return will be worth. She made her offer, she talked of adventure and danger but I know my brother only heard one part of her pitch. This woman had just offered a man his life back, what other answer to that is there?

I didn’t feel too good about this but… part of me wanted to reject. This woman just appears, who we know nothing about but she seems to know everything, offers us exactly what we came to this land for in exchange for a task, a task even she described as dangerous. This whole thing screamed death, for the both of us. In Hadrian’s mind though, a ‘no’ is a death sentence, I will be killing him, perhaps for the second time. I had made a promise to him back in Ontario, I swore that I would do absolutely anything to fix our situation, I should be overjoyed that the answer to our problem came so simply, but this woman gave me a terrible feeling that I couldn’t shake. The choice was ultimately up to me, Hadrian goes where I go, but considering it is his life we are talking about, I decided to let him have this one. I’m sure there are other options somewhere in England but… I mean, I did promise, so if this is what you want to do, I’m with you.

“Huh?” I mutter stupidly, her question caught me extremely off-guard and my mind drew a blank on how to possibly respond. There was another few moments of silence before my mind put the situation together. This woman obviously knew quite a bit about me and my brother, but that isn’t possible! I lean my head out the door and check left and right, but it was completely desolate. I look back at the woman with a glare and motion for her to step inside the room and close the door behind him.

“How do you know us and what do you want!?” I bark angrily, this whole situation had me nervous, how could she know. I’m sure you have something to add, Hadrian. Usually my brother would be all over a situation like this, but he’s been oddly quiet.

I peer through the hole at and see an older woman, which was beyond odd considering no one knew we were here, so it’s not like we were expecting visitors. I open the door with a rather quizzical look on my face. “Can I help you?” My voice carries a coarse tone, I wasn’t expecting to be disturbed and all I want to do is rest for the remainder of the day.

It had been a long journey, far too long and I had come to despise this cursed boat we came over on. I had lost track of how many days me and my brother had been sailing, and of course, my brother’s mouth had not closed once during the ride. But alas, it was soon to be over as I stood on the deck and watched London getting closer. Perhaps we’ll find the answers here, brother.

The ship docks and I make my way off the boat. I stopped for a second to take in how foreign this land was, especially considering we practically lived in a forest our entire lives. We had planned ahead and had a hotel reserved for us so I asked for directions and set about on my way.

Name: Antoine Laflamme

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Appearance: Antoine stands at 6’1 with medium length brown hair, he has a full beard that he does little to upkeep, letting it become somewhat wild looking at times. He has a pale, almost sickly looking complexion with dark brown eyes. He has a larger build, somewhere between fit and lean. He has a grim, uninviting face with three large claw marks scarring down the right side of his cheek. He usually dresses for the cold, regardless of the temperature. He always wears a very old and ragged, yet very reliable red coat with heavy boots and an old pair of pants.

Location: Britain, but originally from Ontario

Biography: Born to a French father and British mother in Ontario, Antoine and his brother lived rather normal and uneventful childhoods. At a young age they followed in their father’s footsteps and employed under the Hudson Bay Company. At this point, Antoine’s powers for manipulating animals was starting to show, it proved useful, but still very raw and undeveloped at this stage. Antoine proved to be very skilled in this field, bringing in a large amount of pelts. His brother, Hadrian, proved to be a much better salesman and haggler, which made up for Antoine lack of people skills and generally shitty attitude towards people. Their skills combined made them a much larger amount of money than most other fur traders of their time.

As he grew older, Antoine’s powers became stronger and stronger, and the more he practiced the more confident he became in his ability to charm animals. He dragged his brother out in the woods to show off his skill, charming and taming smaller creatures such as rabbits and coyotes. When he seen a mountain lion in the distance, he became determined to show his brother the extent of his skill. He approached the beast and forced it to come to him, the mountain lion obeyed, and come to him, acting as docile as a cat. Antoine was too bewildered by this achievement to notice the rest of the pack closing in on the two brothers, Antoine could do nothing to stop the beasts from attacking them, they fled to their nearby cabin but that did not stop the lions. They wounded Antoine deeply but mortally wounded Hadrian. Fearing for his brother’s life and not being in any decent proximity to any actual doctors, Antoine turned to a local Native American shaman that the brother’s both knew out of sheer desperation. The Shaman, used Hadrian’s blood to quickly create some sort of rune on the ground of the cabin. While he stood in the center of the large rune, he quickly, although to the skepticism and fear of his brother, extracted some of Antoine’s blood, letting it rest in his mouth. Upon swallowing the blood, standing in the center of the blood rune, the shaman’s body began to rapidly dissipate, along with Hadrian’s body. Antoine stood onward, confused, and devastated. All that was left was a Native American talisman where the blood rune once was. Upon adorning it, Antoine passed out in pain. Weeks of cold sweats, and pain ensued, before it slowly drifted away, or he grew to numb to it. In place of the pain, was his brother Hadrian. A spirit residing within him, who could manifest himself in the physical world for brief moments of time, although with repeated exposure, the amount of time Hadrian could remain manifested eventually could exceed a couple hours, however it proved incredibly taxing on Antoine.

Due to the stress that this put on the lives of both of them, they are seeking help to allow the permanent manifestation of Hadrian by any means needed. Even if it means agreeing to work for a British expedition in an attempt to use a German superweapon.

Magical Skills:
Creation: Antoine can create spirit forms of many things, such as wolves, hawks and even horses. These figures are very obvious from their living counterparts in that they’re somewhat transparent and cloaked in a dark blue hue. He also has the power to restore some aspects of life, not powerful enough to bring humans back from the dead, but enough to bring back recently deceased animals and heal many wounds. He also has the power to undue any natural decay, for example a rotted piece of wood will regain it’s vitality and strength under his touch.

Animal Manipulation: Antoine could attract and manipulate all types of animals, he can turn the most domesticated animal savage and the most feral animal tame.

Other Skills: Antoine’s skills at manipulating animals was very raw in his youth, so he had to rely on the traditional methods for trapping and skinning animals. This has made him and expert tracker, trapper and hunter. He is also a very good shot with most any gun.

[Kind of a rough position here for Odinism, there are no penalties for abandoning it and nothing but penalties for accepting it. Unless of course Myhome has some very
Felix Sandstrom

I had hoped that the word of the Allfather could be spread inconspicuously, but alas, it seems the sons of Valhalla have been brought upon the world stage, and not in a very good light. Over the past months, there has been a lot of lies spread by people who for some reason or another hate our religion, deceit and anger has spread like wildfire over many forms of media. Perhaps my speech today will sway some leaders and clear up some of the misconceptions, or perhaps it will be another nail in the coffin. I say a quick prayer to Odin, but I do not ask him for strength, I ask him only to witness the actions I am about to carry out in his name.

“Ladies and gentleman, I would like to start by clarifying that I am not a messenger of the gods, the job should be left up to dear Ratatoskr " I give a slight chuckle at my own joke, no else finds it funny, except maybe some of the Nordic countries. “Anyway, as all of you know, Odinism has been in the news as of late, and not many of the messages spread about it have not been positive. Now, as hard as I try, I cannot understand why. Are it’s followers not still good people? Are people forcefully converted? Are people killed in Odin’s name? The answer to all of these questions is of course a no. So why all the hatred from many other religious countries? We are called pagans, and while this may be true for us at the moment, it was also true for Christianity, Islam and Judaism at some point in history.”

“I’ve come to suspect that many of you have a very untrue idea of what Odinism actually is. An Odinist’s first and only objective in life is to earn their place in Valhalla, now how does one do that? They prove they are a great person. Simple as that. Now, they could give their lives gloriously in battle, but that would only be fulfilling one of our many tenets, and would be ignoring many other aspects. Courage, discipline, fidelity, honor, hospitality, industriousness, preservance, self-reliance and truth are what we all strive to uphold. This is not the religion of over a millennium ago, we do not believe in sacrificing to the gods to stave off their wrath, we believe in honoring the gods by striving to be the best we can.”

I let a pause sink in. “We are not an inquisition, we do not force anyone to worship Odin. We spread the word and they listen. With their own free will they choose to follow the words of the Allfather. Many of you believe in freedom, and it would be against the very basis of a free society to restrict any religion, especially one that promotes betterment of oneself and other around them. It seems to be the consensus of modern societies that religion should be left in the past, I do not believe in this however. I believe religion still has it’s place in today’s world, and Odinism has been proving it has a place in society since it’s recent birth. It has been improving the lives of the people who have adopted it, by giving them something to strive for, motivating them to be better people and also providing a light at the end of the tunnel.”

“In conclusion, I feel the religious communities have been very quick the judge and condemn our humble little religion, but I feel their hatred is misguided by ignorance. Our tenets are not fully understood, and that has created a backlash, hopefully today’s clarification will dispel some of that anger. Also, to restrict the peaceful spread of this religion would be both unfair and in many places, unconstitutional. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your time.”

Felix Sandstrom

“It is unfortunate the events that transpired with the Israeli Investigation, and looking back, perhaps this should stand as a lesson. Many nations spent many dollars on ultimately nothing, perhaps we spend too much time and energy on meddling in other’s affairs, instead of looking to improve our own.”

“Also, regarding Estonia’s recent push to help spread Odinism, I commend you. You are well on your way to earning your own spot in Valhalla, Mr. Junson.” I eye the delegates from the UAE, and smirk. “I am proud to announce that we will be unveiling a large statue to the All-Father in Stockholm, this will hopefully bring the nation together as more of a community. We will also be developing a collection of Norse Mythological stories and tenets of Odinism. This will all total roughly 500B dollars.

I turn to Mr. Rasmussen, his recent words echoed my sentiment beautifully, the Daesh run on a system of ideals and hatred, these two things cannot be defeated with explosives.
I will also donate 100B to the humanitarian aid that Denmark has committed. This is a case of violence breeding violence and the world has been responding incorrectly to such a threat.”
