Official "Choose my Next Game!" Thread
Since I really didn’t get much responses I’ post it again, please, if you have anything to say, say it, also any ideas for improvements would be very appreciated.
Hey, I can’t remember when the last time I made a game was, it’s been a while. I’ve been thinking of a mafia, but I’m not so sure. Despite my track record I’ve been thinking of another RP, I have realized a few of my mistakes. First I made the story too specific for character creation, this game will have only one rule for appearance, has to look human. Also, I would take too much control of the story, I will admit my writing and creativity is not quite good enough to keep the game fresh. RPs need other players, it’s much more fun writing a story together. One last major problem (There’s a lot more) is that it was too realistic, I’m almost sure the top 5 RPs here have had some kind of supernatural or magical powers involved.
So, I just wanted to give you a brief summary of what my game would be. The setting would be a destroyed America after an alien invasion, the aliens would be varied, which would let the players create interesting battles with created enemies. The characters would not be human, they would be cyborgs that look identical to humans and share most of their positive features (obviously players would not be bound to the thinking of some greater power and are free to think for themselves.) Also, for some parts I will abandon realism, I will allow powers that seem magical, but can pass for futuristic science (Like conjuring fire or lightning but not actually creating organic beings for example.)
I will sacrifice many aspects of what I usually do to cater to a wider audience, for me it is hard to get players to play a game i really want to make, but me taking the role as a vital NPC in this game will keep me happy. I’m not asking for an obligation to sign, I just want to know if you guys would be interested and if it’s worth my time.
I do look forward to making some sort of game, I missed this community.

Well it’s not really a “next game”, it’s more me trying to see if my ideas are finally heading in the right directions.

Anyone ever play a game called Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines? I played it and it’s different, I am enjoying it. I have to say, it’s the first time a game scared me in a while with the haunted house and Jeanette/Therese really mindfucked me.

I feel like I don’t make good purchases, I bought Metro: 2033 because it was on sale, knowing full well I won’t b able to play it because my laptop has a horrible graphics card.
Also, on learning curves, I wonder what it would be like for a game like Civilization 5, it would actually be erratic, jumping from easy to hard and sometime getting impossible.

I often play games for plot, and amazingly enough, it’s possible with that game.
I broke my save file, I used a certain cheat, think it was Riot Mode and it broke the mission where you have to save Mad Dogg, he’d immediately jump off the roof.

I, personally, like the style of the GTA games, but I’d like something more… godlike. Like you have the power to modify everything or most things. Being able to modify the world as you like. Something like Minecraft + GTA
Although that is a good idea, I don’t think current processors would be able to handle something like that, if it were to happen, I wouldn’t want it to be a GTA games, they’re just fun on their own.

I recently bought GTA: San Andreas for less than 3 bucks… Holy shit that game is still amazing. It’s actually really funny to see the horrible graphics but the voice acting is still the fresh and witty somehow, mainly because now I actually get th drug and blowjob references. I’ve kinda just been playing old, cheap games on Steam and NHL, that’s been my few weeks.

So lately, the cartoons I’ve been watching have bought up the common topic of wishes, fulfilling the character’s greatest desire, one cartoon (Billy and Mandy) put a dark twist on this. Every wish would backfire, Skarr’s wish was granted instantly before he was killed, Mindy’s was taken out of context and got her killed. Pud’n wished for a bunny that relentlessly hunted him and murdered him and Billy lost his bestfriend and dog. So I want to know what you think, what is the worst wish of all, and what is the best wish?
Personally, I do not believe there is a best wish, but for the worst wish, Nergal Jr, tortured by the possibilities of his only wish, accidentally asked for the knowledge of what he wished for, the skull (source of wishes) cackled and vanished. That is the worst wish, having the knowledge of what you’d wish for and losing your wish, knowing yo could have lived a life of happiness, basking in your greatest desire and having that ripped from you with no one to blame but yourself.

In reality I’m not defending anyone, I’m just voicing my opinion.

Want some constructive criticism? You can’t drive a wagon, every time I look down I end up tits up in a pond. Just kidding you know I appreciate your driving.

I dunno, probably, if we are… I didn’t like Star Wars

First, implying that my work is shit.
Second, what kind of dreadfully unsupportive community is this? If I don’t want to see my work violently mocked and insulted, I shouldn’t post it? Then it probably really isn’t worth my time to post anything here.
Your shit is stuff and other people’s stuff is shit. That’s just the way she goes.

Okay, so… What do you guys usually do to relieve frustration? Like, I’ve basically been working on a homework problem for two and a half hours straight, with no progress whatsoever. What would you do in this situation?
Listen to a happy song and laugh until I forget what I was frustrated about. Either that or play a really violent video game where you are a pesudo-god and kill random NPCs.
Watch cartoons and giggle at humour that is really not meant for you.

Well if it’s aimed at adults I probably won’t like it, I can’t really say my entertainment is geared towards adults, I love immature things.
