there is a button called, report abuse, or you could ignore them and be the more “mature and intelligent” man. and really, how often do you see an admin post something in chat? i can honestly say that in more than 3 years here, i’ve only seen it a few times. not amounting to more than 100 posts.

and are you talking about muting or silencing?

Their voice is more important, so people should have to see it.

i can’t tell if you’re trolling or not.
but there is a reason that certain people can’t be muted, something about working for the site, needing to be able to talk, blah blah blah.
even mods can be muted, and they have probably given back more to this site than anyone here, developers included. saying that K+ members give back more, well, that’s just silly.

All I know is that I DO NOT have to buy this, and wont because I don’t find it worthwhile.
I can still:
1. play games
2. chat
3. get badges
4. do all the other stuff that i’ve always been able to do on kong before kong+ came by, and will be able to now that kong+ is here still.

I like the idea, but i just wont be buying it. Unless it can be bought with kreds and i somehow get like 300 of them….

i’m totally in agreement with samster, some of his games were great, but a lot of them have not be fun at all andhave been overrated. I really shouldn’t have pointed to nerdook personally, but his is the most glaring example of people overrating because they like the developer regardless of the actual game. Nerdook is, though i don’t know him personallly, probably a nice guy and does this because it’s what he wants to do. But his games lately have been poorly designed, and boring. Grinding away doing the same stuff over and over again, which is what most of his games have been based on lately, isn’t what i consider fun. Like he said, this is all just opinion, so really, the issue i’m trying to get to, is morons rating stuff for the wrong reasons.

i mean, that’s not necessarily true. if the assumption that people see a game by Nerdook and go and rate it 5/5 because he made it, regardless of gameplay. they would then play the other game, not notice it’s similar and would give it a more reasonable rating. I’m willing to bet that it would not get the same ratings as other games he has made recently. Obviously though, he’d actually try to make that one decent and it might end up decent, he is a good game maker, but forces out too many crappy games.

Meh, i guess if you throw enough crap against the wall, some of it will stick.

those two are very different, yet people are claiming one while meaning the other.

and I rate his games 2-3/5 because they’re usually very poorly made and usually quite boring/repetitive.

what I personally would like to see is Nerdook to make a game, and upload it to Kong on a different account and see how poorly it does, or doesn’t do. a bit of an experiment if you would.

EDIT: and yes, cluesweeper is one of his better games actually.

Nerdook games are quite often badged, and generally are rated quite highly.

My problem with this, is that they often do not deserve the high rating that they get, and most definitely do not deserve badges. The newest one to get badges, Legends of Kong is atrocious. The game does not work nearly like it’s supposed to half the time, the hit boxes on enemies are massive when it comes to alerting them to your presence behind them, but miniscule for damage. I can’t even fathom how this occurs, not to mention the games is about as much fun and watching paint dry. Read the top comments, they’re all, this game is bad but i’m going to rate it 5/5 because it’s a Nerdook game.

Please, i beg of all sane people, do not ever do that. That is how we end up with trashy games ending up with badges and ratings on the 4+ level. I’m well aware that I will be called a troll among other things for this, but frankly, i’m tired of seeing Nerdook games being rated highly and badged because it’s Nerdook. Yes, he made some awesome games before, but frankly, the most recent ones are crap and only are rated highly because of being made by Nerdook.

also, who honestly scrolls the whole way down to the bottom of the page?

one issue that does bother me, the KONGREGATE white letters in the red header go right into the white page, and that kinda trips me out a bit. a bit of red underneath would possible make it look better.

edit: and it seems that when i load a page, i’m not logged in right away, it takes a few seconds for it to register i’m logged in.

man, there really isn’t any username, avatar or kred info there. no, none at all. (i’m being sarcastic at that too)

and for the people who insist the homepage is hidden now. try typing in www.kongregate.com. pretty sure that still works. or clicking “Kongregate” in the header, or any of the buttons on the screen that say “Kongregate”.

if you don’t like the footer, it’s most likely because it’s not pertinent to you. and they’re there, just not taking up half the top portion of the page. i don’t like big headers personally. also, on mine, it’s one scroll over PLUS A LEVEL UP BAR OMG1111!1one

what i’ve seen said here so far:

Personally, i like the changes. Different, interesting, certainly organized differently which isn’t bad. Change is necessary too, so i’m all for this. <3

you forgot to include step 6.
6. after getting a game in the top 20 and having it given badges, continue to make sequels so that they too get badges, but make the game harder and glitchy so that the badges become impossible to earn, and then eventually take the game down from kong so that no one can ever get badges EVAR again!

can someone define America first? because i live in the United States and have lineage going back 300+ years here, but do not consider myself American, actually abhor that title because it’s a blanket title. google Franz Boas, he was an anthropologist who did a lot of work to show that humans were equal and that culture and diet matters more than race when it comes to intelligence and such.
