Topic: King's Bounty: Legions / Best army set-up

Grey-maned Griffins : I agree with Mambu – Night Wolves, Rangers, Young Fairies and Unicorns. This army has 4 different types (Healer, Defender, Archer and 2 Warriors) and the units have all types of damage (Physical, Alchemical, Magical). It’s an army with very high initiative along with the griffins ability and with tank units as the wolves and the unicorns. Also with this setup you get the +5% bonuses for playing with one faction only.

Duke of Darkness : Lake Fairies, Ancient Snakes, Pirates and Young Fairies. (A Healer, a Mage and 3 Warriors). The reason for this setup is control of the battlefield. The Duke gives a big boost to units especially those with low leadership. With the immobilize ability of the Duke and the Sleep ability of the Snake and the Lake Fairy plus Immobilize and/or Slowdown spells, you can truly control the battle. The fast Warriors will get rid of the Archers that threaten the Duke and the Lake Fairies, while in return the latter ones take care of Defenders.

Cyclops : Night Wolves, Inquisitors, Young Fairies, Unicorns (Archer, Defender, Mage and 2 Warriors). The Cyclops is actually a hybrid between an Archer, a Warrior and a Defender. With spells like Divine Shield or Magical Armour he becomes more difficult to kill than an Ent. And he has nice movement range. So he doesn’t need that much protection as other archers do. So I would only help him with Nightwolves for the Warriors that will attack him. To his side I would put Inquisitors. It would be very demoralising for an opponent to see 8 risen Cyclopses that were so hard to kill on the field again. Inquisitors deal nice damage to Warriors and Defenders too. With the Ressurection spell in your spell belt the whole team needs a lot of beating to yield. And I would add as fast Warriors the Young Fairies along with the Unicorns to take care of Mages and Archers that endanger the Inquisitors and the Night Wolves, from the back rows.

Topic: King's Bounty: Legions / Duelsystem is useless

Guys, all players will abandon the game within a week with the things you propose. Wait an hour to play? And pve too? Are you nuts? And what if someone disconnects by accident? The game freezes frequently with those “buy stuff” messages that appear from time to time. And think of this situation : Say you want to play at a certain time and the only player you find is an artful dominator set player with all units level 15 and demonologists with +2 initiative rune. What will you do after that? Wait till he is bored? You will already have to spend a lot of stamina to ressurect the creatures that got killed before you could run. A good measure maybe would be stamina reduction like 10 stam if you run away along with a 5-10 minute wait.

Topic: King's Bounty: Legions / What Legendary creature do you use?

I use the following:

Griffins for their high initiative, high movement range, 2 types of damage (physical and magical), the pierceng scream ability and the unlimited retaliation

Shamans for their boosting ability and the bonus they give to initiative and attack for mages, the good range they have and the tons of magical damage they do to paladins, ents and griffins. The Spirit Wrath ability is also great

Ents because with the right army and spells they are indestructible. In my opinion, after a certain number of units they are too overpowered to be defeated. The shield bonus to all units and the ranged attack are also very good to have. The main problem with them is that if you play vs another ent player, you may play till death. The real one, from old age.

The ratio seems normal to me. There are days when you get no drops, and others when 1 drops almost every 2-3 matches.

There are 19 arrows in total, including the one they are shooting.

So if you count the one they are shooting as not lost, then they have lost 18.

Bad aiming though, I think that their shooting license must be revoked.

Is this a bug? Or angry players burned the Nival HQ and destroyed the servers after the 1.4.13 update?

Also before that screen I was in battle and no damage and number of units was shown, no spells could be used. After a refresh it fixed itself.

What is wrong with the people running this game?
Are they suicidal?
Did they get fired and decided to piss off all the game players?
I thought it was a bad April Fool’s joke.

I can’t understand what’s the point of punishing dedicated players, both in money and time spent. You practically fart in the face people who have supported so far. The 1.4.12 upgrade was a logical and fair upgrade because players could in length of time face equals in pvp, while players with high and very high level, were truly rewarded for the time and money they had spent in the game as they saw that leveling up meant something.

But now with a hasty ,to say the least, “update” you have nullified all their efforts. For example a before the upgrade level 38 player is now equal to a player that may have started the game two months ago. Even though they could have up to 30 MILLION points difference in experience. Is that fair?

What is the point of this upgrade? Better pvp? Who is going to play when all the regulars leave? Who will pay for server costs and maintenance? There will be no pvp if there are no players.

You wanted to put a level cap? Nice job, you are the equivelant of an anesthesiologist with a war hammer. What finesse! You could have put that level cap at lv40 for example and make the level requirements after level 30 like (lv30=100k, 31=200k, 32=300k, …, 40=1M max). That would have been WAY more fair for all and would only effect above 35 level players. Now you have brought them all down in level. You have reduced the leadership (which also cuts profits from you), the gamers are all displeased and you have given to people boosters to make them happy (again losing money).

What are your future ideas? Maybe decreasing the stats of dominator items and dropping their cost to a tenth of their current price? While introducing newer sets like Super dominator and Ultra Super dominator? Because that’s what you did with the level cap and experience.

I personally find this update horrific, idiotic and unneeded. If you wanted to put a level cap, you should at least have taken more time to consider the differences between levels. You have disappointed all the high level players, especially those who have dedicated a lot of their time and money to this game. Those whimsical updates combined with the non-existant support, drive players away from a truly nice game.

I hope you fix this soon, along with all the other problems the game has.

In version 1.4.13 when I log on this message appears after loading is almost complete :

After loading is complete the game seems to run normally until you enter battle. Whenever I try to go to battle, I get disconnected and the game loads again from the start. And the message appears again and so on..

Topic: King's Bounty: Legions / Must be kidding

I have failed 2 times in upgrades from level 8 to 9 in 3 units (2 special, 1 legendary). My most stubborn upgrades though were the final upgrades of ghosts and unicorns which took 7 and 12 times respectively. Each of these costed me 6 books and 220k so it was a waste of 4.180.000 gold and 114 books. But there were upgrades that just flew by and were achieved on the 1st try. So just keep trying, you will get them sooner or later. It’s only a matter of time.

Thanks, I missed this. And to think it’s one of my everyday quests. Well the post was made before the update, that may be the reason for having the wrong materials here.

Also a small tip to find it easier:

The garrisons refresh every 10 min. You may have noticed that some times when you click “Next” in the raid menu, an hourglass appears and it says “Searching for opponent”. That is the time of the refresh. Take note of the time. If you click “Next” new opponents will appear now. If you start cycling between opponents you met before more that 3 times, try again 10 minutes after the time you noted down. Repeat till you find it. Hope this helps, good luck!

Here are images of the low level Beastiarium

It had 1555 rating when I encountered it and I had 1551.

The biggest problem was the champ who managed to land 2 criticals against my ghosts. He hit me with 25K damage two times even though ghosts have 12% physical resistance and +75% defence from the runes.

Chain lightning is a must, I also used fireball. All my units are lv15. I think the most valuable units were the griffin and the necro. THe griffs with the runes + a legionary blade friendly spell are real devastators. The three hit ability they have is also very valuable as the beastiarium units tend to gather together.

Good luck in finding it and do not underestimate it, it is a difficult opponent

Although, I feel your pain, we all went through it. Thats why I only made one dominator item, and stopped.

About as many as those that were pissed to use their artful equipment to craft champ armor before the update.

No players will be pissed. Low level players will still have a good chance for artful equipment and high level players will welcome an artful bandana or battle sword, as this will raise their chance in their next higher level crafts.

Here is an idea, about artful equipment and its problems, that is not to hard to implement:

As may you know if you want to craft higher level equipment, low level artful equipments like Pirate Bandana or Nomad Helmet, Battle Sword, Mage Tunic and Enchanted Cloak are a TRUE CURSE. I don’t know and don’t care if the artfulness % is right or wrong. What I suggest is to lower the artful chance a bit AND be able to craft with artful equipment with an extra percentage of artfulness for the next craft.

Example :

NOW : Say you need to craft the Burial Mask which requires 2 Sorcerer’s Hats which in turn require 2 Pirate Bandanas each. Artful chance for bandana 30% and for hat 20%. You can’t craft with artful equipment.

SUGGESTION : Artful chance for bandana 25% and for hat 15%. Crafting with artful equipment +5% artfulness.

So if you craft with 1 artful bandana you have 15+5=20% chance for an artful Sorcerer’s Hat. With 2 artful bandanas 15+5+5=25%. The same with the hat when trying to craft the Burial Mask. If the mask has a base artfulness of 15% then each artful Sorcerer’s Hat should add 5% chance.

This way players will not feel punished for crafting artful low level equipment and the game programmers won’t have to rewrite the code; it’s a simple change that can be implemented with a small patch/update.

I rarely have disconnection problems, but freezing happens way more often than before and I have to refresh when that happens. And when you refresh you lose at least 2 turns when in pvp. Doesn’t the game freeze for you Mambu?

Longer time meters when disconnecting at pvp. Many have lost battles because of disconnection or freezing of the game at critical points and their units lost their turns. So as not to be exploited by people who want to “punish” the opponent, the game should check to see if the player is connected. If a player disconnects two times in one battle then he immediately loses the game.

THIS @#$%& GAME FREEZES ALL THE TIME

Instead of new units, red gems and the such I suggest you fix this first.

It’s not my computer I have tried in 4 different systems.
It’s not my browser I have tried Firefox, Opera, Chrome.
It’s not the unity player I have installed it several times, nor the cache I clear it frequently.
It’s not the operating system I have tried it on Windows 7, Vista, even XP.

IT’S EITHER YOUR SERVERS OR THE GAME ITSELF

It usually freezes if someone talks to you in chat, or sends you a gift or asks for help.

I can’t stand losing in pvp in battles I could win or even raids ffs because the game freezes every second battle, mid pve or even when it searches for opponents.

FIX IT

I agree with GrtRbwSword. The time limit should stay as is. Without a limit, no battles will be made. I think 10 minutes is fine. And as for the others : Time aura users will now play vs people their size. Newbies will play only few matches vs impossible opponents. Non paying lv30+ users will play with people their level and not only artful dominator lv15 armies. $$$ customers that keep the game running will play vs their own kind leaving the rest to enjoy the game. And players over lv33 will have a reason to keep leveling up. Everybody happy!
Now about the demonologists, without the fireball they are a crappy legendary so I don’t know if disabling it in the first round would work, that is like taking away the stun from the champ or the bees from the ent.
