Topic: Bloons Monkey City / Potentially very easy to code really feature

Why not include both, this “Continue Map” (as there’s already a “Continue” button when you fail, I see adding “Map” reasonable to keep from confusing some people….it happens, I don’t know why, but people get confused over things like that) and the “Freeplay” button?

This would enable the full idea behind the OP. As the “Continue Map” button theory is explained out, I see it as hindering one’s (my own) capacity to learn how to combat things with different setups. I personally learn best from trial and error (I do this, it backfires, don’t do that under those circumstances). Now, where that would make it unfair to enable City cash gains for beating the levels, that’s where the “Freeplay” mode would be useful, it’d follow the same rules it has on it on 5 too. That would enable people to truly experiment with setups, and allow for the option to learn/just have fun going at it, or farm CC so they can do what they need to do.

Just my two cents, figured I’d throw it in the jar.

I was so excited to play this game but I see it is still glitchy. I couldn’t get past the “do you want to play the tutorial” screen. I clicked on “Start” but it didn’t do anything so I clicked it again, and again and then I clicked on skip, and again, but the box just wouldn’t disappear.

Here’s a tip I’ve picked up over time, you can do it one of two ways, either take a mental snapshot of the layout and memorize where the X, Yes, No buttons are, and bring your mouse to the one you want to click (even if the menu vanishes, it’s still open and right there, if you click on the location where the button you need is hiding, it’ll go through). The other option is more tricky to pull off, and really only useful if it’s a centered pop up menu in the game, and you are running on a Windows OS, you simply go to the Start menu (with the browser window active), and then slowly bring up menus (IE: My Documents) until you get as close to the menu button in the game window you need to click, then right click on one of your documents to extend the Windows menu and just drag your mouse over the button via your little horizontal menu ladder and click.

Just a couple suggestions for beating the annoying bugs like hidden menus. Both have been used multiple times by me to get around them, these days I find it easier to use the first option (memorize the button locations and click) rather than the second, but either one should work :)

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Zombies Online] Who are they trying to scam?

Do not forget that as you level, certain levels award you with diamonds. So it isn’t as if they’re completely trying to rip money from you. As has been eloquently stated already, if you don’t want to pay for a game, don’t. There is no need or room for whining little brats who don’t understand that even with games like this, Kongregate has options available to those of us who do not have a disposable income. I use surveys, why don’t you? Sure, it can take up to two hours on some of them, but they at least compensate you for your time. As far as I can see, compared to OTHER games, from OTHER developers, who shall remain nameless, the prices in this game are quite fair.

Topic: General Gaming / Pingy the Ping Idle RPG - suggestions?

Alright…well, I’m stuck on my last two pumpkins…I have 13/15…I’m wondering where about those last two could be, has anyone completed it and is able and willing to tell me a few hints as to where they are? (Specifically, are there any in the Packing Factory? I’m only level 65 atm, got lazy in my idling a while back to do other stuff…)

It’d be nice to have a special, golden snail in the snail catching game. This golden snail would count as 5 snails, but would NOT affect your combo bonus at all (either resetting it because you missed, or increasing it because you caught it.). Just a random thought that I had while mindlessly going “Fuuu, must beat 49!!!” then got a 52 combo and wanted to keep playing to grind snails. :D Also, it could come in every 10 snails caught, to keep players on their toes even more :D.

Edit: Further thoughts on this: Bronze, Silver and Gold snails. Bronze every 10 snails caught, counts for two snails, counts for +1 on the combo, doesn’t count towards combo if you miss it.
Silver snail: Every 15 snails caught, +3 snail count, +2 combo count, does not negatively affect the combo.
Gold snail: Every 25 snails caught, +5 snail count, +3 combo count, does not negatively affect combo.

Of course, these would all be regardless of the combo, they’d come every 10/15/25 snails caught, even if you don’t combo them up.

The bank says that withdrawals don’t affect the interest bar, but they indeed do decrease it just like a deposit.

Sellyme: There’s also the very first one: Sense of Achievement – Go to the achievements page and click the ACHIEVEMENTS word at the top to the left of menu. It gets you a cool hat!

After playing Pingy for quite some time (Long enough to have the first wall clock) I’ve noticed that between that annoying Octojackpot quest and the fact that the market likes to stay really low for a while, that saving up cash is hard to do. So if the market could have minimums for certain fish that are set so they cannot go below them, that would be a great help. Also, if the Ping Slots payouts occurred a bit more frequently, it might be self sustainable, which would help at least in getting that quest done. Another thought for the Slots is to have it so that each spin that does NOT net you the Octo Jackpot increases your odds of getting it. So lets say that the odds are 36,000:1 (1 spin in every 36,000 gets it) spin one would be 36,000:1, if you don’t get insanely lucky and hit it there, spin two would then go to 35,999:1 and so on and so forth.

You’d drink a red bottle that contains oil and instead of the oil eating away at you, you’d be magically healed!

Nah, you can get a basic package 360 for 150-200$ USD at Wal-Mart…but as far as sinking money into this game, I agree, its an absurdly stupid idea, everything you can get with money can be made by getting referrals for five gems apiece, however, the gem prices (on items and such) need to severely drop, since its probably pretty clear most people are not going to pay for this type of game.

The Hero badges are not mob wins, they’re PVP wins.

EDIT: I made a mistake, they are mob wins XD thought you meant the gladiator badges, sorry, sick, mistakes happen.

Not particularly for the game itself, but if you’re going to have Terms of Service posted on a game, at least spell correctly and form grammatically correct sentences. Its really annoying to read them and have to struggle to understand them because someone couldn’t be bothered to have someone proofread it before putting it up there.

Topic: Dream World / no energy

The Energy System in my opinion is a good one, however, it is nerve racking, especially when you only utilize the arena to do the quests from the Imp, its kind of punishing those who grind mobs like me for doing so, especially with that harsh ‘4+1 for exploring’ energy drain on a loss against mobs. If anything, that should be reduced so you can actually farm mobs without risking losing all your energy in two-three turns because of them going enraged and one-two hitting you.

I just discovered a bug, I don’t know or care if its already reported: If you have say, 11 base strength, and are wielding a weapon that gives +1 strength, get a weapon that requires 12 strength, you can use that +1 strength to wield the weapon that requires 12 strength, drop down to 11 strength, and not have to worry. IE: You can utilize this to wield weapons that you couldn’t due to strength restrictions.

Okay… For the record, trainers in Pvp games (any game for that matter) are considered hacking, and can get you banned. However, it doesn’t let you play Pvp off that site, and it’s not on Kong, so it’s probably okay. Don’t make a habit of using these though, since you’re toeing a very thin line here.

Actually, that trainer is based on the Elements game website, so I would say its perfectly legit to use it.
