re4, this thread isnt intended for trolling or attention-seeking, please stay out of it. Cloud has every right to do this…if you re-read the original post/request, you can figure it out.

You’d probably have to have to seen how it was back then to understand where he is coming from..he doesn’t mean anything personally bad towards any user…he/we have just noticed some vast changes lately and are calling for an action about it, which is within our rights as regs to do. Our sigs support his effort is all, no harm done or intended.

Hmm..ponders the situation….mods should and are allowed to have fun too. In fact, it’s good for them…more fun=less stress=better attitudes when dealing with you. Have a heart please. Badges anyone?

Topic: Kongregate / i would like to say something about mods this may temper you but it would really make me feel better

Heya buckle :) you might get better results if you just email support@kongregate.com..they will check it out. They won’t fix your world or anything because that’s not their job but they will assist you. Good luck.

Topic: Kongregate / RP needs it's own room...

Regarding the swearing, etc…I don’t think we can or need to ban for that, unless it’s continually done with the sole purpose of causing annoyance…I usually just tell them it’s ok to swear about a game frustration but not at a user..they handle and agree with that pretty well. I am not going to ban people for every little thing…that’s not what my job is, imo. In RL, you can’t ban a person so why do it here? Anyway, this thread was about eliminating the “extreme RPing” because it was getting kind of nasty..and it has calmed down now. Will they test it? Probably..because that’s the nature of kids and/or rulebreakers…just keep giving a heads-up, they’ll get it eventually. We have a good room with alot of good users….kudoes to Scotti for starting this thread and helping to eliminate a problem. :)

I agree with Scotti on this topic. I get user complaints everyday about it. Several people have left because of it. When it gets so bad that the mods can’t assist new users or the regs with gaming questions I call that a serious problem. It needs to stop or they need to move. (My hands are tied with the limitations I have with certain situations) Speaking as a user here, I don’t enjoy the depressing talk that goes on in there or the animated murder scenes…I would rather talk about games…or badges.

Topic: Off-topic / 1 year on kongregate mark

Yes, yes, I remember…let’s see, I’ve been here almost a year and some changes for me are badges, the PM system, they added the multi-player game category to the home page, more rooms with diverse languages were added, friend list was good, then went buggy, and is now once again handy and convenient, competitive game play between rooms, the CCG has been named (Kongai) and it’s finally coming together so we can play soon, and…and….I better let someone else remember some things…:P

Thank you milskidasith..but…I did mean IM which is an abbreviation for Instant Messaging or chat. Examples are yahoo messenger (yim) or gmail (google mail w/ chat); used for private chatting between friends.

Topic: Kongregate / [Suggestion] 18+ Chat Room

You all have IM’s..use those…..some here that want that ‘activity’ tease the boys and then complain about how annoying it can be…and that is my complaint….suggestions of doing it after hours hasn’t been effective either…I’m personally kind of conflicted here because I want ALL the users to have a good time…but dont tease and then whine….kthxbai :P Another personal mention: I am here for gaming..it is my addiction and I fully enjoy it…I don’t have any interest in watching cybering on Kong…the rest..mature ‘jokes’ or whatever, Im cool with that….just remember, for the rest of it, you do have msn, aim and yim, etc at your disposal….

Of course you can..you need to be both to get ahead anyway…but the majority rules so yes you can be both smart and socially ‘apt’ (your word).

Topic: Serious Discussion / Homeschooling

I’ve done them all…public, private, and homeschooling. For me, the best and most productive time was during my homeschooling years as I had four mentors some for academics, some for sports, and some for general life skills. I interact even now with homeschooled kids in the town I currently live in…I find them all to be ahead of their time academically but most are socially inept. Until they get actual interaction away from the protective cocoon of their ‘home’ school/family setting they just don’t have the necessary skills to function within the ‘normal’ circles of social life within their age group. These kids get integrated into the local high school to get that needed experience and/or credits but fall apart when made to deal with kids their age. I find it heartbreaking at times. For me personally, both here and in Europe, the smartest thing my guardians did for me was to send me out to play with other kids, whether I knew them or not. Doing so taught me the ways to deal with other people and how to relate to them all. If something ‘bad’ happened…we dealt with it, just as any other child should learn to do. It’s part of growing up. Keeping kids in a shell where it’s “safe” is unwise, in my opinion. I also have met some teens here on Kong that are homeschooled..and I have to say they are all very unique, highly intelligent and socially acceptable. They are very well-rounded individuals and I’m quite impressed. Just as in the outside world, some homeschoolers are awesome and some are not. It really does depend on many, many factors. The guardians/parents play a key role of course but exposure to the world is mighty important in the development of any person.
