GODMODE: Designed as the ultimate shield, it makes you invulnerable for a time. Requires: equipment, tank tech, divine tech

Left side (non-personal items)

Safety Laser: Default weapon, has infinite ammo and deals 1 damage to reactors

Pulse Laser: Universal weapon that only requires weapons upgrades, with a fast attack speed and cheap ammo

Cannon: Designed as the “power” raider weapon it deals the most damage without a cool down. Must be bought with stars. Requires raider tech, weaponry

Plasma Cannon: Kind of a balance between the pulse lasers speed and cannons power, it’s designed as a raider weapon. Requires: raider tech, weaponry

Healing Robot: Designed for supports, it heals anyone targeted and uses cpu stat. It has very high ammo compared to other weapons, easily reaching the 300+. Requires: Weaponry, support tech, tank tech

Galactic Gattling: Designed as the “power” version of the Pulse Laser it attacks with almost no delay. Must be bought with stars. Requires: weaponry

Electromagnetic Bomb (emp): Designed as a trader getaway assist it stuns the target making them unable to attack. They can still move however. Requires: trader tech, disabling

Blinding Ray: Designed, as a universal debuff it lowers the precision of the target. requires: Weaponry, disabling

Freeze Beam: Designed as a tank debuff it freezes the attacker making him completely defenseless. Requires: tank tech, disabling, weaponry

Reactor researches

Reactor: raises how much uranium is made from 1 ore

Fuel stock: raises how many ores you can put in your reactor

Uranium stock: raises how much uranium the reactor can hold before it must be collected

Experience generator: gives you experience every time you put in ores

Uranium safe: protects uranium even if reactor is destroyed, acts like a “bank”

People have been asking for some guide or description as to what weapons and research do. I’m not going to post a guide as of right now but I am going to give a description of what all weapons/research do and what they are used for.

RESEARCH

Reactor research (improves all reactors)

Reactor management: raises the max number of reactors you can have

Anti-looting: attackers get less uranium for attacking your reactor

Reactor Lasers: adds a laser on reactors that counter attack every time someone attacks your reactor. It attacks every time it’s hit, if they stop the lasers stop.

Reactor cannons: adds a weapon on reactors that attacks anyone that attacks your reactor, even if they stop attacking.

Reactor Missiles: adds a weapon on reactors that attacks anything in range equal to or above the reactors level, even if they don’t attack the reactor.

Reactor attack researches (defense against reactor weapons)

Reactor looting: get more uranium for destroying reactors

Reactor Laser shield: take less damage from reactor lasers

The problem may lie in the way we play on the kong server vs the french server. Certain ideologies form about what the best “build” is based on the community. Maybe the french server just moved toward one that fit’s nova bot slightly better than ours. Maybe the main problem is we don’t use cleanse really, but the french server might say it’s a must. Same could be about life buffs for this server vs theirs. But who knows I’ve never played on the french server. Not that either of us are wrong but maybe the french server is slightly more suited to the novabot.

I agree with you. Being an ex diablo 2 player and other games that include exp loss as a penalty, I can tell you how losing exp actually enhances game play, trust me you did NOT want to die in d2 game you could’ve lost 5-6 weeks of exp (also there was a mode in d2 where dieing meant you had to start over from zero). For one it gives you a reason not to just die all the time and not care. Second it adds a sense of thrill the harder the game gets. Maybe it’s just me but the more that’s at stake the more interesting it is for me. Or maybe I’m crazy too. Other than those it’s exactly as trillion said, exp needs to be harder to obtain and you need a reason to keep it.

This is why I love these discussions, people make idea, point out the flaws and in turn create solutions. I don’t have any hard feeling. I didn’t think of the traffic aspect from the reactors but I did consider the spending stars on paint schemes, I knew it wouldn’t happen (for free at least) but I put the idea out there anyway. Also for the formal war system I suggests there are a few things I want to point out.

1) people do recon on hqs as it is, I’ve had the high guilds do it to me, I’ve had it done on other guilds as well, if you want to see what’s in a guild you could, in theory, just ask any newbie to do it and take screenshots. I haven’t done this specifically though but now that the idea is out I suppose it’s up to the NovaRaider world if they were to exploit it.

2) I whole heatedly agree with you on the aspect of war, I’m a strong believer that if you are to start a war, it’s total war. You dominate the enemy so totally they CAN NOT fight back, and if possible, not giving them the chance of doing so in the first place. I enjoy reading things on the topic and am currently re-reading Sun Tzu’s famous art of war and plan on moving to another book after. But this is irrelevant, the fact is this is just a game. This is a new concept to me as well, for where does it matter if it’s a real war or an online game war, should you not apply the same theoretical ideal? I have been proven wrong in this (by my real life brother coincidental), because in the in the fact prevails that everyone in the game want’s to have fun. And at the end of the day no one truly enjoys destroying someone’s game play experience (at least if they stop for a second and think “what if it was me.”) Anyway I’m rambling and have got off the point dramatically, if anyone truly wants me to elaborate further I’d be happy to do so, but I highly doubt it.

Anyway to sum it up, because it promotes “fair play” that’s why I suggested both guild leaders agree to a war is because if one guild start’s a war with the perk of being able to koa people lower levels than them and the other guild doesn’t then they have a distinctive advantage. If only for a short time. Simple solution? Certainly. If one guild starts a war with the other, the other guild automatically get’s their “war switch” flipped as well

3) Perhaps there could be some restrictions on when and where allied guilds could enter the hq, maybe make it only when their friendly guild is being invaded, maybe make all the allied guild buildings invisible?

4) New suggestion: reading over the suggestions everyone want’s some incentive to make attacking other guilds worth it. What I propose has the obvious people of the top guild’s exploiting it and some system would need to be implemented to prevent this, I have not good ideas right now other than the agree to war system, in which case it would just be disabled until the “war” was approved by both sides. The idea is, every building destroyed in a raid by one guild would be turned into profit into some sort of guild “raid fund” to be put into hq or capacity upgrades by the gm. Let’s say guild BIG MOFO bullies around guild HUNGRY KITTENS (example names) by low hp sniping all the kittens poor traders for no reason. They start a war and HK initiates a preemptive strike. For example, let’s say a defense building costs 1000 uranium. HK wades through the intense pvp from BMOFO (turns out they wheren’t so big in a fair 1v1) and get to the Building and destroy it. The guild leader get’s a pm saying “enemy building xxxx destroyed, 625 uri deposited into ‘war bank.’”

I have a few problems with some of your suggestions, but your heart is in the right place. I do like the idea of a vein, maybe have it as a structure you attack for a lot of res, but in open world. I made a comment earlier that I hope sublinet reads but I’ll say it again here, guild members could have the option of filling others reactors. It would save everyone time and create a respectiful aura to guildmates thru helping each other, and you could fill reactors faster. 2 in 1. Also there’s a minor problem with making a safe zone in a guild, the guild could just build their defenses around that point so even if you left the safe zone you’d be in big trouble. I think that maybe the guild leader should be able to designate a spawn point for the guild members because it’s a pain to fly over to your reactors sometimes. There should be a formal alliance system that would allow the partner guild to freely inter/exit the other guilds hq, but it would be impossible to attack their building (stops backstabs). Also their should be a formal was system that makes it so the hostile guild members would be single click (bypassing safety mode) attacked like npcs as well as maybe dropping newbie protection for the opposing guild members (or atleast a 2-3 level margin) to make waring more intense/desperate for both sides (a war should be a very serious matter), both guild leaders would have to confirm alliances/wars. Also something completely unrelated to game mechanics but still a neat idea, a guild could have it’s own personal ship “paint scheme” or maybe add a building in the hq called something like “ship painter” for example, where the guild leader could use hq construction to buy more colors/patterns to make the guild more unique, but this feature could definitely wait.

Minor issue but still an annoyance: Make the “targeting square” encompass the entire monster. This is very apparent with the huge bosses but is also noticeable with some of the bigger monsters and sometimes with other players as well.

with the pvp arena, when you click the auto pvp button that pops up, if you’re teleported to go pvp you should have your health restored to the max so we can be farming with out having to worry about our hp.

Also, safety mode shouldn’t have it so that you can auto-attack your own bases turrets as it does now.

The problem with that though is how do you calculate who does the work? I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, I completely agree with you. And I would agree with you on the disable noob protection in bosses but there would always be some jerk out there who would exploit that by being, for example, a level 20 going around killing level 13’s for lols or their uri. For that problem I suggest simply turning off your uri dropping in boss fights, then the only reason for killing someone would be A) killing leeches or B) for the lols. But if you did turn off pvp uri drop in boss galaxies people would start using them as some “friendly” pvp arena.

Seizan has a good point, if you see leechers there, just don’t attack. Of course this isn’t as much of a problem in galaxy 4+ because pvp is enable in bosses so leech=kill. But you have a good idea, I think, with “timing out” people in boss galaxies that don’t do anything for 2-3 minutes plus, if just to keep afk clutter out (even though technically more afk people = higher loot for you). I don’t think it would hurt anyone to be teleported out if you go afk in a boss galaxy.

Let me change my ideal then, sense I’ve been proven wrong. There is a problem that still exists, the need for some incentive to engage in team play. Other than the obvious perks like not being able to attack team mates and the exp/gem sharing, a lot of people don’t do it because they can’t get a cut of the uri, I still stand by my suggestion of adding some % cut of the uri to all team members. For example the person who kills the monster still gets full uri, but everyone in the party in the general area gets 10-25%.

Simply put there arn’t enough support players out there. I think one reason is because they get the short end of the stick in party play. So i would like to make a few suggestions that I think would make more players want to play as a support.
1) Like traders, they should get exp for what they do best. Supports are best at healing/buffing people so I think they should get exp based on some formula similar to ([#hp healed]*[your level]-[person getting healed]) or something like that as a general idea
2) Parties should get shared uranium, or at least everyone in the party should get a % cut, as it is now, only the attacker is getting the uranium and the poor support is getting left out. This is a big reason for people to not make parties as it is, everyone’s fighting over the kills.
3) Maybe add another buff, maybe one that increases hit rate/critical chance etc.
4) Add in a cpu gem.

*maybe pvp announcements (ex: player KILLBOOM killed player BOOMKILL)

*make the “your hq is being invaded” message bigger/more noticeable
